Dalam rangka mendorong adopsi inovasi biosekuriti oleh peternak ayam ras petelur, maka diperlukan pemahaman tentang adopsi inovasi biosecurity ayam ras petelur dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat adopsi inovasi biosecurity ayam ras petelur serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode penelitian ini adalah pembobotan biosecurity yang terdiri dari biosecurity sumber ayam, biosecurity hewan pengganggu, biosecurity tamu dan pekerja, biosecurity hewan sakit, biosecurity pakan, biosecurity limbah dan biosecurity rak telur, sedangkan untuk faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi adopsi inovasi biosecurity menggunakan statistika infrensial dengan uji F dan uji t. Hasil penelitian diketahui tingkat adopsi inovasi biosecurity ayam ras petelur di kabupaten Sidrap rendah pada biosecurity terhadap ternak pengganggu sebanyak 59 orang atau 67,82% dan biosecurity tamu dan pekerja sebanyak 59 orang atau 67,82% sedangkan untuk faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat adopsi inovasi adalah skala usaha dan kontrol perilaku. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian adalah ada dua faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat adopsi inovasi ayam ras petelur di kabupaten Sidrap adalah untuk meningkatkan adopsi inovasi biosecurity dapat dimulai pada skala usaha yang lebih besar dan kemampuan peternak untuk mengkontrol perilakunya.Kata Kunci: biosecurity, faktor adopsi inovasi

The consequency of the increasing of dairy cattle population in Enrekang is environmentalpollutio fo aue.  The ojetie of this eseah as to eploe dai fae’s koledge adpractices of manure management in Enrekang Regency.  The design of research was survey with 79respondents from a total of 460 dairy farmers that divided by 65 respondents was small scale (1-3heads each farmer) and 14 respondents was medium scale (more than 3 heads each farmers).  Datawere obtained through interview and observations using questionnaire with open and closequestion complementa.  Fatos of fae’s koledge ee ethod ad adatage of aueaageet, eooi alue of aue,  fae’s eed ad adatage of ogai fetilize. Fatos of fae’s paties ee leaig itesit of a ad dai attle, aue aagementand the use of manure.  The data were analyzed with descriptive statistic using frequencydistiutio ad hi suae.  Fae’s koledge of aue aageet as the sae eteeediu ad sall sale χ > 5%.  The koledge of eooi alue, advantage of organic fertilizerad aue aageet as high hile ethod of aue aageet ad fae’s eed oforganic fertilizer was medium.  Cleaning intensity of barn and dairy cattle was high while practice ofmanure handling and manure using was law (rarely).Key Words: Knowledge, Dairy Farmer, Manure

Research on the use of rice straw as a feed has been widely done but the adoption at the farmer’s business level is still low. Perception of the farmers is one of the key factors in increasing the adoption of rice straw utilization as a feed. The aims of this study were to determine the level of farmers’ perceptions of the use of rice straw as a feed and factors that affect it. The study was conducted in the Bantimurung sub-district, which is the center of beef cattle and technical irrigated lowland rice. The number of respondents was 65 people who were randomly selected out of 325 farmers (20% of the population) by enumerators who had been trained. The variable measured was the level of perceptions of the farmers in fulfilling the livestock needs and the ability of the farmers in providing rice straw as a feed. The independent variable included the socio-economic factors of the farmers, consisting of age, number of livestock, number of family members, number of rice fields area, and level of education. Data were analyzed using multiple regression models using the F and t-test. The results showed that the level of perception of the farmers in fulfilling livestock needs was in less category. The level of perceptions of the farmers towards their ability in providing rice straw as feed was in the high category. Factors that influence their level of perception were the number of livestock and the number of family members. The number of livestock had a negative effect (P< 0.01) on the level of farmer perception, in which the higher the number of livestock owned by the farmers, the less level of the farmer's perception towards the use of rice straw as feed. The number of the family had a positive effect (P<0.01) on the level of the farmer perception meaning that the higher the number of the family members, the higher the level of the farmer's perception towards the use of rice straw as a feed.

Salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan penyuluhan adalah tingkat partisipasi peternak dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan penyuluhan. Semakin tinggi tingkat partisipasi peternak, maka tingkat keberhasilan penyuluhan semakin tinggi pula. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi peternak pada perencanaan dan pelaksanaan penyuluhan di Kelurahan Soreang Kecamatan Lau Kabupaten Maros. Lokasi penelitian adalah di Kelurahan Soreang Kecamatan Lau Kabupaten Maros. Metode penelitian adalah metode survey dengan menggunakan kuisiner untuk mengumpulkan data. Jumlah sampel 40 orang peternak yang dipilih secara acak. Indikator yang diukur adalah partisipasi dalam perencanaan meliputi perencanaan materi, perencanaan waktu, perencanaan tempat dan perencanaan penggunaan sumberdaya. Indikator partisipasi dalam pelaksanaan penyuluhan adalah kehadiran, keaktifan, keinginan bertanya dan keaktifan praktek. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistic deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi peternak pada perencanaan penyuluhan berada pada kategori rendah/tidak Baik/tidak terlibat. Peternak tidak dilibatkan dalam perencanaan penyuluhan. Penyuluh yang melakukan perencanaan penyuluhan. Tingkat partisipasi peternak pada tahap pelaksanaan adalah kategori Kurang Baik/Turut Serta yang berarti bahwa tingkat partisipasi masih kurang. Agar penyuluhan dapat mencapai tujuannya, maka sebaiknya peternak dilibatkan sejak perencanaan dan pelaksanaan penyuluhan.

Natural farming is an agricultural system that does not use external inputs in the implementation of its farming. This study aims to determine the level of participation of farmers at each stage of planning and decision making, evaluation and utilization of results. The research method uses a qualitative case study method. Data collection uses the method of triangulation methods, namely in-depth interviews, observation and focus group discussions. Key informants included the SRSC founder, chairman, active members and new members. The results showed the level of participation of farmers at the planning stage is at the level of self-participation where farmers decide themselves willingness to participate in natural farming activities. In addition, farmers plan their farming according to the resources they have and are guided by SRSC instructors. At the implementation stage, farmers carry out natural farming independently and are guided by extension workers or other farmers who have already done natural farming first. At the evaluation stage, the farmer evaluates every activity that has been carried out. Evaluation is not only at the end of the activity, but at the time of the activity, the farmer also conducts an evaluation together with more advanced farmers. At the yield utilization stage, farmers' income increases and the ability of farmers to do natural farming continues to increase as they become increasingly involved in activities in SRSC.

Objective: This study aim was to determine the factors that influence the adoption of agricultural waste utilization as dairy feed among farmers in Enrekang Regency.Methods: This research was conducted from July to September 2019 in Cendana and Anggeraja Districts, which are the centers for dairy cows in Enrekang district. The number of farmers in these two sub-districts were 261 people or 72% of the total population of dairy farmers in Enrekang district. The number of respondents were 77 who were selected using the simple random sampling method. Data collection was carried out by trained enumerators using a questionnaire. Data analysis used the F test to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable (adoption of agricultural waste utilization) and the t test for the partial test of each independent variable. The mathematical model used was a logistic regression model because the variable adoption of agricultural waste utilization was a dichotomous variable.Results: The results showed that the most common types of agricultural waste used as feed in the dry season were sweet potato leaves and rejected sweet potatoes (50.6%), while in the rainy season it was sweet corn straw (30.6%). The method of utilizing agricultutral waste as feed was: directly given to dairy cattle (53%), withered first (25%), fermented (11%) and mixed with concentrate (11%). Factors that influence the adoption of agricultural waste as feed were the number of lactating dairy cattle (X1), contact with extension workers (X4) and the age of farmers (X5). Meanwhile, the cosmopolite variables (X2), formal education (X3), length of farming (X6) and number of families (X7) did not affect the adoption of agricultural was as feed.Conclusions: To increase the adoption of agricultural waste as feed, the intensity of extension needs to be increased, especially for older breeders with 1 - 3 heads of lactating cattle.

The beef cattle population in Bacukiki District experienced a low growth rate from 2015 to 2019. This was due to the absence of an empowerment program or model of cooperation that brought together relevant stakeholders and the lack of information regarding beef cattle farming technology. Farmers really need an increase in livestock and institutional capacity through technological innovation in overcoming problems and utilizing the potential of available regional resources. The Hasanuddin University Community Service Program-Partnership-Community Program (PPMU-PK-M) which was held at the Liae Livestock Farmers Group, Watang Bacukiki Village aims to increase the capacity of farmers through training. There were two solutions offered in this activity: 1) conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGD) in order to apply the Quadruple Helix concept and 2) providing technical training related to Good Breeding Practice in terms of feed management and processing. The results of the FGD were in the form of agreements and consolidation regarding the application of the Quadruple Helix model and the role of each stakeholder. Farmers carefully and enthusiastically participated in feed processing technology training in an effort to achieve Good Breeding Practice. The application of the Quadruple Helix model in Bali cattle breeding can support the achievement of Good Breeding Practice in Parepare City so that it can become a model for other areas in the vicinity.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik individu meliputi umur, Pendidikan, pengalaman usaha dan jumlah anggota keluarga terhadap tingkat adopsi pemanfaatan limbah feces ternak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tompo, Kecamatan Barru, Kabupaten Barru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Februari – April 2020. Pengumpulan data dilakukan oleh enumerator yang telah dilatih. Jumlah peternak di Desa Tompo adalah 275 orang dan terpilih 73 orang responden. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah statitik inferensial dengan menggunakan uji T dan uji F pada model analasis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa pendidikan formal dan pengalaman berusahatani merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi adopsi pemanfaatan limbah ternak di Kabupaten Barru. Namun demikian, umur dan jumlah anggota keluarga tidak berpengaruh terhadap adopsi pemanfaatan limbah ternak

Abstract This study examines the model for the goat production supply chain and institution performance in the supply chain from production centers (Jeneponto Regency) to consumption centers (Makassar City). The institutions discussed here are only institutions that are included in the chain as primary members. The performance of goat supply chain institutions can be seen from the benefits obtained in the highest order, namely breeders, retailers, and collectors in Channel 1, while in Channel 2, they are farmers, intermediary consumers, collectors and retailers. The profit gained breeders from marketing margins in both channels is quite good; the respective values are 67.43% and 64.66% of total marketing margins.
