Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, unemployment increased to 9.77 million. Youth competition in the world of work will be more challenging if they do not have soft and hard skills. Teenagers who grow up in an environment with complex social problems such as Tikungbaru, where poverty, crime, and juvenile delinquency rates are high, actually need it. Teenagers need self-awareness to select the right career. The purpose of the research was to determine the "Hello, Me!" by searching for interests and talents to increase teenagers' self-awareness. The research method uses an experimental pre-post test design with teenagers aged 12-13 years in RW 08 Tikungbaru. The intervention is the "Hello, Me!" program in tracking interests and talents through CFIT and RMIB, self-awareness training, and group counselling. The data collection uses a self-awareness scale before and after the program. Data analysis used the Parametric Paired-Samples T-test. The results show that sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 0.05 means a significant difference in self-awareness in teenagers before and after the program. The conclusion is that "Hello, Me!" can increase teenagers' self-awareness in Tikungbaru. This research can provide literature references and program solutions to increase teenagers' self-awareness.

Abstract

Abstract: Praktik profesi Psikologi Industri dan Organisasi seperti seleksi, potential review, dan promosi membutuhkan Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) agar dipercaya, meminimalisir tindakan berbahaya, dan terhindar dari gugatan klien secara hukum. PAPI Kostick sering digunakan psikolog sebagai tes kepribadian untuk memprediksi kinerja. Adaptabilitas adalah salah satu bentuk dari kinerja yaitu contextual performance. Ironisnya belum ada penelitian tentang kemampuan prediktif PAPI Kostick terhadap adaptabilitas karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan bukti empiris kemampuan PAPI Kostick dalam memprediksi adaptabilitas karyawan. Metode penelitiannya adalah metode dokumentasi dengan menggunakan skor alat tes PAPI Kostick dan Penilaian Adaptabilitas dalam rentang waktu berbeda. Subjek penelitiannya adalah 158 orang karyawan tenaga non-kependidikan di Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis Universitas Gadjah Mada. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasilnya adalah PAPI Kostick mampu memprediksi adaptabilitas karyawan sebesar 16% yaitu pada aspek peran pekerja keras (G) dan kebutuhan mengontrol orang lain (P). Kesimpulannya adalah PAPI Kostick mampu memprediksi Adaptabilitas Karyawan.

Abstract

Salah satu Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU 1) yang berdampak pada relevansi kebutuhan industri dan dunia kerja yaitu lulusan mendapatkan pekerjaan yang layak terdiri dari mendapatkan pekerjaan, melanjutkan studi, dan menjadi wiraswasta. Targetnya alumni bekerja atau berwiraswasta memiliki penghasilan 1,2 x lipat dari UMR. Faktanya, IKU 1 dalam Laporan Kinerja UNNES belum memenuhi target. Terlihat bahwa ada alumni masih berorientasi job seeker daripada job creater sedangkan penghasilan tertinggi justru diraih alumni berwirausaha. Program Pengembangan Wirausaha dibutuhkan oleh wirausaha mahasiswa di UNNES untuk menyiapkan lulusan siap berwirausaha dengan gaji minimal 1,2 kali UMR. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan angka wirausaha mahasiswa di UNNES melalui pelatihan psikologi kewirausahaan, kelembagaan, manajemen SDM, dan keuangan serta fasilitasi usaha sesuai kebutuhan tenant. Total peserta program adalah 12 orang mahasiswa UNNES yang berwirausaha selama 6 hingga 36 bulan dari tiga kategori usaha yaitu kuliner, jasa, dan industri kreatif. Mereka telah menerima manfaat dengan memiliki peningkatan pengetahuan, ketrampilan, dan pendampingan dalam mengembangkan usahanya. Program ini bertujuan dapat memberi masukan pada Stakeholder UNNES, Fakultas, dan Prodi Psikologi dalam merancang kebijakan pengembangan soft skill dan hard skill yang tepat bagi mahasiswa wirausaha tersebut. Termasuk embrio pembentukan Psychopreneur sebagai unit profit layanan pengembangan kewirausahaan di Prodi Psikologi UNNES.

Abstract

In the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, an individual's career choice to become an entrepreneur is an impressive topic to study, especially in the productive age, because entrepreneurship is one of the prerequisites for reaching developed notions and helps reduce the unemployment rate. Numerous efforts have been attempted to develop and facilitate an increase in the number of entrepreneurs among students. Unfortunately, with the various existing facilities and programs, students enthusiasm in the field of entrepreneurship is not invariably followed by the creation of a sustainable business. There is a contributing factor in entrepreneurial intentions, i.e., social support. Thus, this research aims to investigate the role of social support in entrepreneurial intentions among Semarang State University students who are actively involved in education or entrepreneurial activities (N=377) using a purposive sampling technique. This study collected data using 11 items on the entrepreneurial intention scale and 10 items on the social support scale. Simple linear regression was used to evaluate the data. The outcome demonstrates that social support plays a significant positive role in entrepreneurial intention, p < 0.05, R2 = 0.379 with the equation Y' = 26,748 + 0.600 X. This indicates that the higher social support score influences an individual to have the greater entrepreneurial intention. Therefore, It is also envisaged that the findings of this study would be useful to different parties when planning or creating acceleration program for the development of young entrepreneurs, particularly for those from collectivist cultures.Pada bidang Psikologi Industri dan Organisasi, pemilihan karier individu menjadi seorang wirausaha menjadi topik yang menarik untuk diteliti, terutama pada usia produktif. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena kewirausahaan merupakan salah satu prasyarat untuk mencapai negara maju dan membantu mengurangi tingkat pengangguran. Berbagai upaya telah dijalankan untuk mengembangkan dan memfasilitasi peningkatan jumlah wirausaha pada mahasiswa. Sayangnya, dengan berbagai fasilitas dan program yang ada, ketertarikan mahasiswa dalam bidang kewirausahaan tersebut tidak selalu diikuti dengan penciptaan bisnis yang berkelanjutan. Terdapat faktor yang dapat berperan dalam intensi berwirausaha adalah dukungan sosial. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguji peranan dukungan sosial terhadap intensi berwirausaha pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang yang memiliki keterlibatan aktif dalam pendidikan ataupun aktivitas kewirausahaan (N=377) dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan 11 item skala intensi berwirausaha dan 10 item skala dukungan sosial. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dukungan sosial berperan positif terhadap intensi berwirausaha nilai p < 0,05, R2 = 0,379 dengan persamaan Y’ = 26.748 + 0,600 X. Hal tersebut mengartikan apabila terjadi peningkatan dukungan sosial maka akan semakin tinggi intensi berwirausaha. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pertimbangan berbagai pihak dalam menyusun ataupun mengembangkan program akselerasi penciptaan wirausaha muda, terutama pada individu dalam budaya kolektivis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the demographic characteristics and the level of employee well-being (EWB) among university students working part-time in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as to analyze the relationship and influence of demographic variables on the three core dimensions of EWB: Life Well-being (LWB), Workplace Well-being (WWB), and Psychological Well-being (PWB). Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 496 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The data were gathered via an online questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results show that many respondents were female, 21 years old, enrolled in public universities, in their final semester, and working in the small-scale food and beverage sector. Overall, EWB levels were relatively high, particularly in the WWB and PWB dimensions, while LWB was at a moderate level. Age, type of university, and semester showed significant but weak relationships and influences on certain dimensions of well-being. These findings highlight the need for greater support to enhance the well-being of student workers in informal employment settings.

Abstract

As students transition into the workforce, work readiness becomes essential—particularly for those entering high-uncertainty environments such as startups. While prior studies have established the negative impact of intolerance of uncertainty (IU) on various career-related outcomes, the underlying mechanisms by which IU affects work readiness (WR) remain insufficiently explored. Specifically, little is known about the mediating role of self-efficacy (SE) in this relationship, particularly within the context of internship experiences. Furthermore, existing research has rarely focused on student populations engaged in real-world transitions, such as internships in startup environments characterized by volatility and ambiguity. Addressing this gap, the present study investigates the effect of IU on WR with SE as a mediator. Data were collected through an online survey involving 208 student interns participating in the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB), selected via purposive sampling. Validated Indonesian versions of the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale-12 (IUS-12), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), and Work Readiness Scale (WRS) were utilized. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. The results indicate a significant indirect effect of IU on WR through SE, whereas the direct effect of IU on WR was not statistically significant. These findings underscore the critical role of self-efficacy in enhancing students’ work readiness and mitigating the negative impact of uncertainty.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the boarding house business, forcing entrepreneurs to adapt swiftly to maintain their operations amidst financial and occupancy challenges. This situation highlights the difficulties boarding house businesses encounter in ensuring sustainability during uncertain times. This study investigates the adaptation strategies employed by boarding house (kost) businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a qualitative approach, the research collected data through interviews with four informants, comprising two primary and two secondary sources. The findings emphasize the importance of need-based market segmentation, targeting both students and workers, to maintain occupancy and revenue. Flexible payment schemes, reserve fund management, and cost-saving measures emerged as key strategies to address financial difficulties. Additionally, fostering strong tenant relationships through responsive customer service and empathetic communication enhanced tenant loyalty and ensured long-term occupancy. This study concludes that operational adaptability and effective market segmentation are critical for the survival and growth of rental housing businesses during periods of crisis. These insights provide valuable guidance for similar enterprises navigating uncertain economic conditions while emphasizing the importance of aligning business strategies with tenant needs and maintaining financial resilience.

Abstract

Media sosial yang semakin intensif mendorong terjadinya perubahan dalam pola perilaku konsumsi, termasuk kecenderungan untuk melakukan pembelian impulsif. Fenomena ini menjadi semakin signifikan di kalangan masyarakat digital yang rentan terhadap paparan konten promosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh intensitas penggunaan media sosial terhadap impulse buying pada masyarakat digital di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan desain survei, melibatkan 288 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari dua skala, yaitu skala intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan skala impulse buying, yang keduanya telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman dengan bantuan SPSS versi 31. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan perilaku impulse buying. Semakin tinggi intensitas penggunaan media sosial, semakin besar kecenderungan individu untuk melakukan pembelian impulsif. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya literatur psikologi konsumen dan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan teori consumer behavior di era digital.

Abstract

Being an MSME entrepreneur is not easy because of the various obstacles and risks, which require strong entrepreneurial intentions to survive. MSME entrepreneurs must be adaptive to the business challenges that they needadversity quotientto turn limitations into opportunities andlove of moneythat encourages entrepreneurial intentions through money. This research was conducted to determine the effect oflove of moneyandadversity quotienton entrepreneurial intention by involving 384 MSME entrepreneurs in Semarang City who fulfilled the MSME criteria based onGovernment Regulation No. 7 of 2021. The number of subjects was determined through Lemeshow's formula using a sampling error of 5%. The subjects came from various MSME communities such as, Semarang City Cooperatives and MSMEs ServiceTraining Participants, FOKKUS Great Organization, Semarang Community Ambassador Cooperativeand UNNES area MSME entrepreneurs. The analysis was conducted with PLS-SEM via SmartPLS-4. The results showed thatlove of moneyandadversity quotienthad a significant effect on entrepreneurial intention with a p-value ≤ 0.05 and t-statistic ≥ 1.96. Adversity quotienthas an effect of 0.574 (57.4%). andlove of moneyhas an effect of 0.179 (17.9%) in the establishment of entrepreneurial intentions of MSME entrepreneurs. This indicates that rather than the money factor to get the desired money, the ability to deal with various problems plays a greater role in the entrepreneurial intention of MSME entrepreneurs in Semarang City.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini guna membantu siswa SMK mengenali minat, bakat, serta jalur karier yang sesuai melalui asesmen psikologi, pelatihan soft skill dan karier. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMK Islamic Centre Baiturrahman Semarang dengan melibatkan 63 siswa dari kompetensi keahlian Akuntansi dan Keuangan Lembaga (AKL) serta Teknik Jaringan Komputer dan Telekomunikasi (TJKT). Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap koordinasi, analisis kebutuhan, asesmen psikologis (menggunakan alat tes RMIB untuk minat dan CFIT untuk intelegensi), serta pelatihan soft skill dan karier. Pelatihan soft skill difokuskan pada kemampuan adaptasi dan komunikasi efektif yang dikemas dalam bentuk ceramah, diskusi, permainan, serta simulasi peran (roleplay) berdasarkan konteks kerja nyata. Selain itu, pelatihan karier terdiri dari sesi career awareness yang juga melibatkan alumni, serta informasi career path dan praktik simulasi kerja di Teaching Factory Center Tech dan Islamic Center Bank. Evaluasi kegiatan melalui pre-test dan post-test, serta dokumentasi visual dan testimoni siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang jalur karier dan pentingnya mengenali potensi diri sejak dini. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat sinergi antara sekolah dan dunia profesional untuk mendukung kesiapan kerja siswa.
