Abstract

For maintaning stabilitation of production machines in PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Perawang, it monitores everyday. Monitoring which is done one of about the temperature. It aims to avoid the damages in production machines because of over temperature. In temperature monitoring, the method is done by companies still based on manually with used thermo mini tool. Monitoring with used thermo mini tool need many times because there are many production machines. Beside that, that all are done in one month, thus the data is not real time. Because of that the writer designed condition and monitoring tool based on microcontroller with used temperature sensor LM35. Microcontroller arduino uno used wireless communication, it used RF 433 Mhz and graphic display used LabView software. The aims to give the real time data, quick and easy in monitoring.The result of the research which had been done stated that the condition and monitoring based on microcontroller in production machines in PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Perawang had been applied successfull. Percentage error ratio sensor LM35 based on microcontroller with thermo mini tool based on manually 1.02%. Speed of time in taking the data reach 5 second with effective interval connectivity RF 433 Mhz as far as 5 meter.Keywords : LM35 sensor, Arduino Uno, RF 433 Mhz, LabView.

Abstract

Early warning system is one of the technology to detect land fires by utilizing wireless sensor network. Continuously delivery of data by the sensor node causes a large energy consumption on the side of the node that can reduce battery life. This study was conducted to determine the battery durability in a long time during a fire and when there is no fire on peatland. The design of a portable power supply management system in the early warning system nodes is now used as a solution to get more energy efficiently and easy to operate. Power consumption savings on peatland fire detection systems using LM35 temperature sensor, Atmega8 microcontroller and HC-12 transmitter module. The results show that the best sleep mode feature on ATmega8 is in powerdown mode with a current of 0.287 mA. The range of distance that can be received by the transmitter module is 87 meters far without any obstacles. By using the time interval sleep / wake up scheduling at the time of data transmission able to minimize the large energy consumption and make long the active life of power supply with life time for 318 days..Keywords: ATmega8, Early Waring System, Power Supply, Sleep-wake up Scheduling.

Abstract

FM demodulator is used to demodulate signal in FM receiver. Demodulation process is performed to recover the information signal. The information signal is 3.4 kHz which ismodulated with a carrier signal of 19 kHz. FM demodulator is designed with PLL (Phase Locked Loop) method, it used the concept of phase locking signal. FM demodulator withPLL method consist of four blocks, that is phase comparator, second-order Butterworth LPF, VCO wienbridge, and buffer amplifiers. Design of FM demodulator trainer begins with calculate to determine the component value which suitable with cut off frequency. The next process to make the layout of the pcb board, dissolution layout, pcb board drilling, mounting the female connectors to pcb board, installation of component connectors to the header, and make a box to place trainer FM demodulator. The results obtained at each signal FM demodulator block is different. Demodulated signal is obtained at the buffer amplifier block, where the signal is same as the output signal at function generator is 3.4 kHz.Keywords : FM Demodulator, Demodulated Signal, Phase Look Loop, Carrier Signal, Information Signal.

Abstract

Design software interface controlling traffic light intersection ATMega8535 five-basic microcontroller is design to facilitate operator traffic light. This software design involves two different software,software Visual Basic 6.0 and CodeVision avr, Visual Basic 6.0 as a software interface that will send data and CodeVision avr as recipient of the data that is in its hardware. Sending and receiving data here using the existing serial port in komputere that use serial usb rs232 which serves to connect or bridge the respective software sendiri.Pengiriman data through the interface that Visual Basic 6.0, this shipment using the DO pin as data transmission (RX) which in usb serial and in ATMega8535 and received using D1 pin that serves as a data receiver (TX) .Each pin is connected using the USB serial rs232. This method allows an operator to use and change the time when need it. Because the software interface gives the ease of service at rush hour or operarator like solid hours already available, and only enter a number already there dikolom disediakan.Perpindahan in this column automatically, and a solid hour or busy can also be arranged according to the wishes of the operator.Keywords: interface, microcontroller ATMega8535, usb serial

Abstract

Activity monitoring water levels in reservoirs hydropower Koto Panjang are generally still done conventionally, that is reading of a sign of watershed mounted on the reservoir by way of a return of the power house to a reservoir which on avarage carried done three times a day, because of that is needed design control and monitoring level of water level by using ultrasonic sensor which is controlled from long distance 50 cm minimally until 10 m. The result of reading sensor are sent to microcontroller Arduino Uno for processed and sent by HT and displayed in PC. For displaying the data which received in monitor screen use software of LabView 2012. From the result sensor testing MB7366 able controlling the water level with error presentation 0.011% which is compared with a sign of watershed conventionally in reservoir and added with high time efficiency. From the result of comparison reading water elevation, reading from ultrasonic sensor can improve plant performance 0.03%.Keywords : Ultrasonic Sensor, Arduino Uno, LabView

Abstract

Electricity loads thrive every time, where the amount of loads affect the availability and supply of electricity every day. The calculation of changes in electrical loads for every 30 minutes in 24 hours, electrical loadscould produce various electrical pattern developments at certain times in different days, to understand the changes of the pattern of electricity loads for the future. These pattern could be use for prediction orforecasting method on the daily data of electrical loads using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with the Backpropagation Method. The prediction is applied to daily electricity loads data for the SUMBAGTENGregion (Central Sumatra), data from 2013 are used for training, 2014 are used for model testing, and data from 2015 as comparison of ANN prediction results from 2014 data testing. Optimal model training isobtained by trying each training function and changing various training parameters to get the lowest Mean Square Error (MSE) value. The results of various training ANN models showed that using the traincgptraining function at 200 hidden layers and learning rate is 0.01 obtaining a training MSE value is 10025,265. By applying the optimal ANN model on the 2014 electrical loads to predict the 2015 electricalloads, the accuracy of error from the ANN model is obtained by the value of Mean Absolute Perscent Error (MAPE) is 5.42%.Keywords: Electric loads, electric loads forecast, artificial neural network, Backpropagation.

Abstract

Network quality is the ability of an enterprise data network management system to meet or exceed user expectations by providing the desired functionality or desired information in a reliable, predictable, repeatable, and timely manner. The registration unit at the Puskesmas is a place to register or record the patient data to receive the health services they need. In this case, the registration of the patient's name at the Puskesmas will be recorded in the Simpus, which has been bridged with BPJS Healthy, so that patient data can be easily known about their history of health services that have been received. The Quality of the network in the Puskesmas' registration unit is evaluated with the Quality of Service (QoS) parameter where the Axence Net Tools 5 was used to measure the performance of the Network Link in the Puskesmas. In addition, network monitoring is done to determine the delay. Delay is the length of time required by the data to transfer information. It can be affected by physical media distance, congestion, or length of processing time. The delay measurement can be calculated by knowing the total time of data sending, then divided by the total packets data received, which is the TIPHON version of the delay category. The result of the study found that network quality of bridging P-Care and Simpus by using QoS Parametric in Delay was categorized as bad with total number 469ms. This means that the delay occurs because of congestion that uses network services exceeding the capacity that can be received by a data communication line and attenuation, which weakens the signal due to long distances.Keyword: Parameter QoS, Standart TIPHONE, Delay

Abstract

Wireless network is a wireless network that uses air as a transmission medium with a medium in the form of electromagnetic waves. Cafe is a place to relax and talk for all ages (young people and parents) in addition to providing a comfortable place this café also provides wifi network that can be accessed by all café visitors who come. In the café that is an obstacle at this time is the internet connection available is unstable, resulting in visitors who are just logging into the wifi network experiencing difficulties and often long buffering. This is because there is no bandwdith division (bandwidth management) so that usage between users is uneven. To find out the quality of the existing network in the café, measurement of network quality uses Quality of Services (QoS) parameters. QoS is a method of measuring how good the quality of service of an existing network, the parameters used are the packet loss of three users during five days of testing. From the test results, the results of the qualification are obtained according to TIPHON standards, on the value of the first user packet loss to the third user with the highest value, namely on the third user on the third day by 4.02% in the good category and for the lowest value of 2.67% on the second user on the first day in the category is very good. For the average value of the highest packet loss value of 3.43% obtained on the second day with the third index in the Category Bagus, while the lowest packet loss average value of 3.09% is obtained on the first day with the third index included in the Category Good based on the TIPHON standard.Keyword: Wireless, Parameter QoS, Packet loss, TIPHON Standard.

Abstract

FM modulator is a device used for the modulation process. Modulation is a process to lay the information signal on carrier signal for reduce interference and noise when signal ispropagated. The information signal has 3,4 KHz in frequency , and will be modulated with 19 KHz (carrier signal). FM modulator is designed with PLL (Phase Locked Loop) method, itused the concept of phase signal locking . FM modulator with PLL method consist of four blocks, that is oscillator colpitt, phase comparator, second orde LPF butterworth and VCOwienbridge. Design of FM modulator trainer begins with calculate to determine the component value which suitable with cut off frequency. Abstract

Peatland fires monitoring that have the highest accuracy is ASMC with an accuracy rate of 60%. So it takes a peat fire detection design, in order to mitigate catastrophic fires in peatlands. Peat in Riau province generally woody peat types, so that the research done on woody peat. This detection system utilizing the characteristics of the heat generated by peat fires trees is LM35 sensor, using ATMega8 as the microcontroller and LCD 16*2 as the viewer that read the temperature sensor. Based on these results, LM35 temperature sensor has an accuracy rate with an %error on the average of o.22% to the lowest %error is 0% and the %error is 0.62% higher. The temperature of woody peat area in normal condition at 08.00 to 11.30 pm has a large temperature that always under ambient temperature. When burning conditions, the temperature of woody peat area continues to increase and exceeds ambient temperature. There is no significant difference of the air temperature around the area when normal conditions and during a fire because woody peat fires not really affect the change.Keywords: LM35 Sensor, ATMega8, woody peat
