Abstract

Government expenditures is one of fiscal policy in overcoming market failure. By the government intervention through expenditure budget is expected to create multiplier effect to other economic sectors which can increase economic growth, so that has a positive impact for unemployment and poverty. This research purpose is to see how far government expenditures influence on unemployment and poverty in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) from 2005-2010, with econometric model, Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. This research explain that government expenditures contribute to unemployment and poverty but central government’s role is still more dominant in reducing unemployment and poverty in Indonesia compared by local government’s role. It is suggested that central and regional governments should have a common vision and step to reduce the unemployment and poverty level.

Abstract

Objective : To determine the correlation between characteristics and the level of knowledge, attitudes and behavior among midwife in primary health care in Medan about pap smear and cervical cancer.Method : This study was a descriptive analytical with cross sectional design conducted using a 3-sections questionnaire containing 15 knowledge questions, 12 attitude questions, and 8 behavior questions at 100 midwives in 39 primary health care in Medan from October until November 2013. Data was collected by.Data analysis was performed using two way Chi Square with a significance level of 95% (p<0.05).Results : Majority of respondents were good in knowledge (84%), attitude in adequate level (52%), and behavior in good level (52%). In Chi Square analysis, no significant relationship found between educations and knowledge, attitudes, behavior (p=0.184; p=0.417; p=0.185); no significant relationship found between age yet length of working with knowledge, attitudes (p=0.191; p=0.478 and p=0.22; p=0.649) while significant correlation found between age yet length of working with behavior (p=0.003 and p=0.0037).Conclusion : Based on these results, it is shown that better behavior is found in midwife who has an older age and long working age.Keywords : midwife; cervical cancer; pap smear

Abstract

Evaluation of Islamic science in its future development is carried out by studying the influence of mantiq science in the formation of Islamic sciences. Modern thinking in the 5.0 era is synonymous with the existence of Mantiq (logic) and the structure and rules of rational thinking. This research focuses on examining how the impact of mantiq on Islamic sciences in the past can be used as an indicator in determining whether mantiq knowledge (logic) is still valid or not for the development of modern science and Islamic studies in the current 5.0 era. This study uses a qualitative method with library research or literature review. Sources of data in this study into two parts, namely primary data and secondary data. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that mantiq or logic has a great influence on the development of Islamic studies in this era, especially in the study of aqidah, fiqh, and kalam. Many scientific works resulted from the implementation of mantiq, the development of mantiq science is inseparable from Islamic philosophy, the existence of mantiq or logic has developed very rapidly in the Islamic scientific world and has had an impact on human life since its emergence in the ancient Greek era.

Abstract

Keberadaan ilmu pengetahuan dan manusia merupakan perwujudan bersama dalam kehidupan yakni dilandasi dari rasa keingintahuan manusia itu sendiri terhadap seluruh hal yang tersedia di semesta ini. Hadirnya epistemologi sebagai bagian dari cabang ilmu filsafat dikhususkan pada sumber dan metode pengetahuan, dalam dunia Islam dan barat ternyata memiliki perbedaan yang mencolok dalam epistemologi sumber dan metode terhadap ilmu pengetahuan. Riset ini bertujuan untuk menggali apa saja sumber dan metode pengetahuan dalam perspektif Islam dan Barat serta mengungkapkan perbedaannya. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan termasuk pada qualitative research melalui kajian pustaka (literature study). Teknik analisis data menggunakan descriptive causal terhadap data yang terhimpun. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa sumber pengetahuan barat berfokus pada rasionalitas dan empirisme dengan metode silogisme yang merujuk Aristoteles through’s, sedangkan Islam merujuk pada dalil naqli (al-Qur’an dan hadis) serta dalil ‘aqli (hati, rasio, dan empiris atau hissī) melalui metode induksi dan deduksi.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan mengenai pemikiran Fazlur Rahman tentang pendidikan dan relevanasinya dengan Pendidikan islam kontemporer. Latar belakang artikel ini berdasarkan pada realitas kemerosotan moral di tengah-tengah modernitas. Maraknya kasus dikotomi antara pelajaran agama dan pelajaran umum ke peserta didik. Peneliti memakai pendekatan kualitatif yang berjenis studi pustaka. Data primer menggunakan buku dari Sutrisno yang berjudul "Fazlur Rahman, kajian terhadap metode epistemologi dan sistem pendidikan". Data sekundernya berupa jurnal dan buku yang relevan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan dokumentasi dengan teknik analis konten (content analysis). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Pertama, memaparkan biografi Fazlur Rahman. Kedua, pemikiran pendidikan Fazlur Rahman yang menekankan sejumlah konsep ajaran Islam terkait dengan dunia pendidikan. Ketiga, Menurut Rahman, terdapat beberapa permasalahan dalam pendidikan yang perlu diperbaiki, yaitu: (1) ketidakselarasan tujuan pendidikan Islam dengan tujuan positif, (2) adanya dikotomi dalam sistem pendidikan Islam yang menyebabkan pembelajaran yang terfragmentasi, (3) rendahnya kualitas siswa, (4) kesulitan dalam menemukan pendidik berkualitas, profesional, dan memiliki pemikiran yang kreatif dan terintegrasi, serta (5) keterbatasan ketersediaan buku di perpustakaan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Problematika riset ini berupa maraknya sejumlah kasus dan isu terkait intoleransi dalam beragama yang terjadi di Indonesia dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini. Salah satu upaya Kementerian Agama yakni dengan program moderasi beragama yang disosialisasikan melalui internalisasi dalam dunia pendidikan hingga ke masyarakat umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi pustaka yang dikategorikan jenis kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui teknik pengumpulan data dengan dokumen dan dianalisis dengan causal descriptive yang bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan dan mendeskripsikan relevansi pemikiran Syaikh Yusuf al-Makassari dalam Pendidikan Islam sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan moderasi beragama. Hasil penelitian adalah pemikiran etika tasawuf Syaikh Yusuf al-Makassari dinilai relevan dengan Pendidikan Islam karena orientasi pada rasa dan etika religius yang bersifat adaptif. Pemikiran tersebut sangat menekankan pada nilai-nilai moderasi dan toleransi yang sangat tinggi berupa tawassuth, tawazun, i’tidal dan tasamuh. Nilai-nilai yang sejalan dengan moderasi beragama ini, maka patur diterapkan dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara khusunya di Indonesia yang majemuk. ABSTRACT The problem with this research is the rise in a number of cases and issues related to religious intolerance that have occurred in Indonesia in recent years. One of the Ministry of Religion's efforts is a religious moderation program that is socialized through internalization in the world of religion. This research used a literature study, which is classified as qualitative. Data were obtained through data collection techniques with documents and analyzed using causal descriptive, which aims to reveal and describe the relevance of Shaykh Yusuf al-Makassari's thoughts in Islamic education as an effort to increase religious moderation. The results of the research show that Syaikh Yusuf al-Makassari's Sufism (tasawwuf) ethical thoughts are considered relevant to Islamic education because of their orientation towards adaptive religious feelings and ethics. These thoughts place great emphasis on the very high values of moderation and tolerance in the form of tawassuth, tawazun, itidal, and tasamuh. These values are in line with religious moderation, so they should be applied in the life of the nation and state, especially in a pluralistic Indonesia.

Abstract

This research raises the issue of Hamka's thoughts regarding the criteria for educators in terms of his tafsir book. The book of exegesis written certainly contains tendencies and influences from the thoughts of the author. In this case the author wants to make relevance between his thoughts and his interpretation of Qs. Yūsuf/12:4-6 in Tafsir Al-Azhar. This research is useful to know the various criteria of educators, their perspectives on the interpretation of Qs. Yūsuf/12:4-6 and their relevance to their thoughts about educators. This research is based on literature studies and includes qualitative types (descriptive analysis that is useful for dismantling and finding educator criteria on Hamka's interpretation). The result of this study is in the form of seven criteria educators perspective Hamka in his interpretation of the verse has a relationship with his thoughts about educators.
