Abstract

Jumlah kehamilan dan melahirkan pada remaja masih meningkat setiap tahunnya. Sekitar 11% kelahiran bayi lahir dari ibu remaja di negara berkembang. Kejadian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perilaku seks pranikah. Dorongan seksual dan rasa ingin tahu yang besar tentang seksualitas membuat remaja mencari informasi melalui apa saja. Informasi yang benar tentang seks menjadi hal yang penting diberikan pada remaja agar tidak terjerumus pada perilaku seks bebas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektifitas edukasi menggunakan media video dan leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentang seks bebas pada remaja. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimental semu menggunakan rancangan Two Group Pre-Test – Post-Test dengan teknik random sampling. Responden adalah 60 remaja di Karang Taruna Desa Banaran yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Penelitian menggunakan uji statistik Independent t-test diperoleh nilai signifikansi (p value) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Hassil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan efektifitas pemberian pendidikan kesehatan antara media video dengan media leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan seks bebas pada remaja. Media audiovisual dianggap lebih menarik dibandingkan dengan media leafleat. Pendidikan kesehatan yang menyasar kepada para remaja sebaiknya menggunakan media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif sehingga dapat menstimulasi remaja untuk fokus dan memperhatikan materi yang disampaikan.

Abstract

Introduction: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious disease that is experienced by many tropical countries, including Indonesia. Prevention of dengue fever relies heavily on the active role of the community, especially families, in controlling the population of the Aedes aegypti mosquito as the vector of the disease. This study aims to examine the relationship between perceptions and family behavior in efforts to prevent dengue fever. Method: The method in this research uses a descriptive correlation design with a sample size of 98 respondents using the Purpose Sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire and the analysis used is bivariate analysis using the chi square test. Results: The majority of respondents were in late adulthood (36-45 years) (35.7%), the majority worked as entrepreneurs (50%), the majority had graduated from high school/vocational school (68.7%) and the majority owned private homes (72.4% ). The picture of family perception is negative perception with a total of 58.2%. The description of family behavior was adequate as much as 57.1%. The results of the chi-square statistical test obtained p-value=0.016 (p0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between perceptions and family behavior in preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).

Abstract

Introduce: Dysmenorrhea is a common gynecological issue that causes discomfort for several days during the menstrual period in women. Experiences and strategies for managing dysmenorrhea vary among adolescents, as pain is a subjective experience that is often difficult to measure objectively. This study aims to explore the experiences of adolescent girls in managing dysmenorrhea in the Rejosari Health Center area. Method: This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive phenomenological approach. The research participants are seven adolescent girls in the Rejosari Health Center area, selected through purposive sampling according to inclusion criteria. Data was collected through in-depth interviews guided by semi-structured interview guidelines and analyzed using thematic analysis by Colaizzi. Data collection was completed. Results: The findings and discussion present five main themes: 1) Relying on pain relief medication, 2) Pain management through positioning, massage, and traditional remedies, 3) Seeking further medical treatment at healthcare facilities, 4) Relying on support from close individuals, and 5) Belief in myths and normalizing dysmenorrhea. Conslusion: Dysmenorrhea significantly impacts the activities of adolescent girls. They manage it through pharmacological, non-pharmacological methods and sometimes require emergency treatment. Support from close individuals helps, though myths still influence them. Education and family support are essential to help adolescents effectively manage dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Today's teenagers grow up in an environment that puts them at risk of experiencing micronutrient deficiencies. One of the causes is their limited knowledge, which affects their decision-making when it comes to choosing nutritious food from the options available to them. To address these issues, nutritional status screening training and health education are necessary to prevent malnutrition among adolescents. This community service aims to increase health knowledge among teenagers and improve their skills in screening for nutritional status. The method used is training through the provision of health information related to balanced nutrition, reproductive health, and the nutritional needs of teenagers. After the material is delivered, the program continues with a simulation involving weighing, measuring height, and calculating body mass index. This activity involved 20 teenagers in Limbungan Baru Village, Pekanbaru City. The results showed an increase in the percentage of teenagers with a good level of knowledge, from 15% before the training to 75% after the training. Adolescents who have received training need to be involved in posyandu (community health center) activities so that their skills are maintained and can contribute to increasing community independence in maintaining health status.

Abstract

Knowledge of menstrual hygiene management is influential in maintaining and caring for reproductive organs. Adolescent knowledge can be improved through health education with media like comics. The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of comic media on knowledge of menstrual hygiene management. The research used a quasi-experiment method through a pretest and posttest design with a non-equivalent control design. The research sample was 64 high school students selected by proportional random sampling. The analyses applied were Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney statistical tests. The Wilcoxon test results compared the mean knowledge before and after providing health education or education using comic media with a p-value = 0.000 < α (0.05). In the Mann-Whitney test value conducted on the experimental group and the control group, the p-value = 0.002 was obtained. There was a difference in the average knowledge in the group given the intervention compared to the group without the intervention. Providing education or health education through the use of comics in the form of media is considered effective in improving knowledge of menstrual hygiene management.

Abstract

Peer education has been widely used as a method of health education for adolescents. However, adolescent health problems are still a concern that requires adolescents to increase literacy and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Youth empowerment carried out in this activity is in the form of peer education using the term influencer to refer to peer educators. A total of 20 students who successfully passed the selection took part in training activities covering physical activity and fitness, reproductive health and nutrition in adolescents as well as using the uksku.id website as a medium for influencers to work. The results of data analysis using the T test showed p < 0.05, meaning there was a difference in knowledge before being given training and after being given training. Training carried out as a form of training for influencers can increase the influencer's knowledge to provide education to their peers. The influencers will then share their learning experiences and insights in the form of writing or posters which are then posted via the uksku.id website. It is hoped that this empowerment activity can become a new trend in increasing health literacy among students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Adolescents in Pekanbaru face significant reproductive health challenges, including anemia, vaginal discharge, and menstrual pain. Many students are hesitant to take the blood supplement tablets provided by the UKS and lack education on menstrual hygiene management. To address these issues, the team developed the "Haid Bersih" module. The initiative aims to deliver promotional and preventive services, as well as education on menstrual hygiene management, aligning with University IKU 3 and 5. The methods employed include reproductive health screening and menstrual hygiene education. Screening is conducted for both female and male students using a questionnaire that covers access to counselling, menstrual experiences, reproductive health problems, and incidents of sexual violence. The "Haid Bersih" module specifically provides guidelines for menstrual hygiene in wetland areas. The results indicated enthusiastic reception of the educational activities by UKS students, teachers, and nurses. Students received booklets and accessed information through posters and QR codes for screening. The screening revealed that while the majority of adolescent girls had received counselling on puberty and sexually transmitted disease prevention, sexual health education remained minimal. Many girls reported discomfort during menstruation and other reproductive health issues. Generally, male students exhibited signs of puberty. There is a clear need for further education and enhanced digital literacy among adolescents to access reproductive and sexual health information. Abstract

ABSTRAK Remaja merupakan pengguna sosial media yang aktif, oleh karena itu remaja dapat memanfaatkan media sosial salah satunya sebagai tempat berbagi edukasi kesehatan dengan membuat media edukasi melalui desain grafis menggunakan aplikasi canva dan capcut. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini agar remaja dapat memanfaatkan media sosial untuk berbagi edukasi terkait kesehatan dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi desain grafis sebagai alat untuk membuat media edukasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan di wilayah Kelurahan Limbungan Baru, Kota Pekanbaru. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam pelatihan ini dengan pemberian materi dan demonstrasi terkait cara pembuatan media edukasi, pendampingan kepada remaja, dan evaluasi terkait pembuatan media edukasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan responden sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pelatihan pemanfaatan media sosial pada remaja. Kata Kunci: Remaja, Pelatihan, Media Sosial, Edukasi Kesehatan  ABSTRACT Teenagers are active social media users, therefore teenagers can utilize social media, one of which is as a place to share health education by creating educational media through graphic design using the Canva and Capcut applications. The purpose of this community service is so that teenagers can utilize social media to share health-related education by utilizing graphic design applications as a tool to create educational media. This training activity was carried out in the Limbungan Baru Village area, Pekanbaru City. The method used in this training was to provide material and demonstrations related to how to create educational media, mentoring teenagers, and evaluations related to creating educational media. Abstract

ABSTRAK Masa remaja merupakan periode kritis terhadap kesehatan sehubungan dengan peningkatan perubahan fisik, psikologis dan social yang drastis. Sekolah merupakan sarana yang dapat mendukung upaya peningkatan kesehatan remaja. Fasilitas Unit Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) belum dapat termanfaatkan sebagai media promotive dan preventif. Inovasi UKS berbasis virtual dirancang sebagai media yang fleksibel dan kreatif digunakan remaja. Platform website dinamakan uksku.id Pengembangan media platform uksku.id dilaksanakan oleh tim influencer yang telah dilatih. Media dimanfaatkan oleh siswa/siswi untuk mendapatkan informasi kesehatan yang telah diupload influencer. Pemanfaatan media juga diberikan kepada sekolah agar dapat mengakses informasi kesehatan siswa/siswa sebagai landasan dalam pengembangan program kesehatan sekolah. Pihak puskesmas juga diberikan akses dalam menggunakan media agar mengintegrasi kesinambungan intervensi dengan pihak sekolah. Pihak sekolah diharapkan dapat terus memanfaatkan keberadaan website yang telah tersedia. Perlu pengembangan aplikasi lanjut yang lebih aplikatif dan terintegrasi dengan berbagai institusi Pendidikan dan layanan kesehatan masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Pelayanan Kesehatan, Remaja, Sekolah, Uks, Virtual  ABSTRACT Adolescence is a critical period for health due to the drastic physical, psychological, and social changes that occur. Schools can support efforts to improve adolescent health. However, School Health Unit (UKS) facilities have not been effectively utilized as promotional and preventive media. To address this, a virtual-based UKS innovation was designed as a flexible and creative medium for teenagers. The website is called uksku.id. The development of the uksku.id platform was undertaken by a team of trained influencers. This media platform is used by students to access health information uploaded by influencers. Additionally, schools have access to the media to obtain student health information, which serves as a foundation for developing school health programs. Health centers are also granted access to use the media to ensure the continuity of intervention with schools. It is recommended that schools continue to utilize the existing website. Abstract

Mahasiswa yang berada pada usia remaja yang saat ini sedang berada pada perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju sehingga mempengaruhi kejadian peningkatan screen time dan perilaku makan yang berdampak terhadap kejadian indeks massa tubuh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan screen time dan perilaku makan terhadap indeks massa tubuh (IMT) mahasiswa di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakankuantitatif dengan desain studi cross sectional. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 240 orang dengan teknik pengambilan total sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan berupa kuesioner serta pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan, menggunakan analisis uji Chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan yaitu 124 responden dengan persentase 51,7% memiliki screen time tinggi, perilaku makan responden 172 orang memiliki perilaku makan yang buruk dengan aspek external eating merupakan aspek tertinggi yang terjadi yaitu 214 responden (89,2%), analisis Chi square menunjukkan antara screen time terhadap perilaku makan pada mahasiswa fakultas keperawatan angkatan 2023 p-value = 0,745 (p>0.05), antara screen time terhadap IMT mahasiswa fakultas keperawatan angkatan 2023 p-value = 0,353 (p>0,05) dan antara perilaku makan dengan IMT mahasiswa fakultas keperawatan angkatan 2023 p-value =0,035 (p<0,05). Penelitianselanjutnya dapat menggunakan hasil penelitian ini sebagai referensi dan dapat menelusuri faktor-faktor lain yang memengaruhi IMT mahasiswa tahun pertama dan mencari instrumen penelitian yang lebih mudah dimengerti oleh responden dalam penentuan intensitas screen time pada mahasiswa
