Abstract

The use of smartphones in the current digital era has many positive and negative impacts on students. Therefore, it is necessary to use rules that are right on target so that they do not have implications for students' reading interests. The purpose of this research is to describe the impact of smartphone use intensity on students' reading interest at SMAS DDI Babussalam Boddie Pangkep. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Subject determination uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation regarding smartphone use and students' reading interest. The data analysis technique is carried out in the form of qualitative analysis. The results showed that students were allowed to use smartphones at school by following the rules of use, for example only as a learning medium. The positive impacts of using smartphones include: accessing a large number of reading sources, increasing students' interest in reading, and accessing reading quickly and easily. Meanwhile, the negative impacts are eliminating interest in reading books in the library, lack of concentration on reading material, potential for misunderstanding the content of reading texts, and access to learning video content reducing students' interest in reading.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah latihan masih terfokus pada teknik dan taktik strategi tim secara umum. Sehingga kemampuan dalam setiap pemain dalam kecepatan lari belum begitu optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Latihan Ladder Drill Terhadap Kecepatan Pemain Sepak Bola Kabupaten Pasangkayu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian The One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 12 pemain. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan hasil penelitian maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut : (1) Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari perhitungan statistic t hitung untuk latihan ladder drill = 10,6873 dengan menggunakan taraf signifikan 5% dari d.b = (N – 1) = 12 – 1 = 11 diperoleh nilai t tabel sebesar 2.201 hal ini berarti bahwa nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel atau 12,3731 > 2.201 atau peningkatan antara pre-test dan post-test adalah 18,62 dengan mean deviasi sebanyak 1,5516.

Abstract

Rice is the staple food of the Indonesian people. Rice is produced through a lenghty process. One crucial stage of the post-harvest process is the drying of rice. The decline in rice production occurs at this drying stage. This research designs a tool that can dry rice automatically in order to facilitate the drying process of rice grain. This tool uses a DHT22 sensor as a temperature and humidity detection sensor. The Power Window motor is used as a driver of the rice  rain stirring shaft that is being dried, while the Blower and Heater as a heater. This tool is equipped with NodeMCU as a microcontroller to send signals to the Telegram application on a smartphone so that status notifications on the LCD of this tool can be seen through a long distance. Testing of this tool is carried out on rice weighing 5 kg and 10 kg with a test time of 3 consecutive days. Drying is done in the morning and afternoon.  Rice drying tests in the morning for 5 kg of grain are 32 minutes, 41 minutes, and 45 minutes, then 45 minutes, 55 minutes and 55 minutes for 10 kg of grain.  In the afternoon, 27 minutes, 25 minutes and 29 minutes for 5 kg of grain, and 42 minutes, 38 minutes and 36 minutes for 10 kg of grain. The average grain shrinkage during the drying process in the test period was 7,5 percent for 5 kg of grain and 7,7 percent for 10 kg of grain ABSTRAK; Beras merupakan makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia. Beras dihasilkan dengan proses yang panjang. Tahapan proses pasca panen yang sangat penting adalah pengeringan gabah padi. Penurunan produksi beras banyak terjadi pada tahapan pengeringan ini. Penelitian ini merancang alat yang dapat mengeringkan padi secara otomatis agar dapat mempermudah proses pengeringan terhadap gabah padi. Alat ini menggunakan Sensor DHT22 sebagai sensor pendeteksi suhu dan kelembaban. Motor Power Window digunakan untuk penggerak poros pengaduk gabah padi yang sedang dikeringkan, sedangkan Blower dan Heater sebagai pemanas. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan NodeMCU sebagai mikrokontroller untuk mengirim sinyal ke aplikasi Telegram pada smartphone sehingga notifikasi status pada LCD alat ini bisa dilihat melalui jarak yang jauh. Pengujian alat ini dilakukan pada padi seberat 5 kg dan 10 kg dengan  lama waktu pengujian 3 hari berturut-turut. Pengeringan dilakukan pada saat pagi dan siang hari.  Pengujian pengeringan padi pagi hari untuk 5 kg gabah yaitu 32 menit, 41 menit, dan 45 menit,  kemudian 45 menit, 55 menit dan 55 menit untuk gabah 10 kg.  Pada siang hari yaitu 27 menit,25 menit dan 29 menit untuk gabah 5 kg, dan 42 menit, 38 menit dan 36 menit untuk gabah 10 kg. Penyusutan gabah rata-rata selama proses pengeringan dalam periode pengujian alat, yaitu sebesar 7,5 persen untuk gabah seberat 5 Kg dan 7,7 persen untuk gabah seberat 10 Kg.

Abstract

Pondok Pesanten Umar bin Khattab (UBK) di Desa Karya Indah Kecamatan Tapung, Kabupaten Kampar menggunakan sumber listrik dari PT. PLN (Persero) untuk menghidupkan lampu dan mesin-mesin listrik, salah satunya mesin pompa air. Namun, keterbatasan daya terpasang menyebabkan sistem mesin pompa air tidak bekerja secara maksimal karena masih terjadi pemadaman bergilir. Pihak pondok pesantren meminta tim Universitas Riau untuk mencarikan solusi sistem pompa air listrik yang baik. Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini tim akan membuat mesin pompa berbasis sel surya yang menggunakan energi matahari. Alat ini menggunakan sel surya, pengendali pengisian baterai (charge controller) dan batre kering yang dihubungkan ke mesin pompa air. Alat pengisi muatan baterai akumulator bersifat fix. Alat ini digunakan untuk mengisi muatan baterai di siang hari dan pada malam harinya baterai tersebut digunakan untuk mencatu mesin pompa air listrik. Sistem yang akan dibuat terdiri atas panel surya yang terpasang pada atap bangunan, 1 unit pengendali pengisian baterai dan baterai akumulator jenis sealed lead acid atau baterai kering 7,2 Ah. Dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini pihak pondok pesantren mendapat nilai tambah investasi dan fasilitas sumber energi listrik baru dan mesin pompa air yang baik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of religion and science in Biology learning at SMA 4 Padangsidimpuan, by highlighting the problems, objectives, and application of qualitative research methods in analyzing the relationship between the two. The integration of religion and science in education is often considered difficult, especially in Biology lessons which are usually seen as contradictory to religious teachings. Therefore, this study aims to determine how Biology teachers at SMA 4 Padangsidimpuan connect religious values ​​in science teaching, and how students respond to this approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with Biology teachers, and analysis of curriculum documents and teaching materials applied. In addition, interviews were also conducted with students to determine their views and attitudes towards Biology learning that combines religious elements. The results of the study indicate that Biology teachers at SMA 4 Padangsidimpuan integrate religious values ​​with Biology materials by connecting the natural phenomena studied with religious concepts, such as creation by God, the balance of nature, and human responsibility in protecting the environment. The methods used include discussion, reflection, and providing real examples that link religious teachings with scientific theories. In conclusion, the integration of religion and science in Biology learning at SMA 4 Padangsidimpuan provides a more comprehensive understanding for students, where they not only learn scientific concepts, but also appreciate the relationship between science and religious teachings in their lives. This approach enriches students' insights and fosters positive attitudes towards both fields.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the views of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers regarding the implementation of educational democracy at SMK 3 Padangsidimpuan. Democracy in education is seen as important to create a fair and inclusive learning environment, as well as providing equal opportunities for all students. This study uses a qualitative approach with an in-depth interview method with several experienced PAI teachers at the school. The data obtained were analyzed thematically to understand the perceptions of PAI teachers regarding the implementation of democratic principles in learning activities, both in terms of teaching materials, interactions with students, and learning methods used. The main objective of this study is to determine the extent to which the principles of educational democracy are implemented in PAI learning at SMK 3 Padangsidimpuan, as well as to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by teachers in implementing these principles in the classroom. The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers at this school are generally aware of the importance of democracy in education, although its implementation is still limited to certain aspects such as providing freedom of opinion to students and respecting differences of opinion. The obstacles faced include the lack of facilities and support in implementing educational democracy comprehensively. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of more democratic education, especially in the context of Islamic Religious Education, as well as being a reflection material for teachers and schools in building a more participatory and inclusive learning approach.

Abstract

This study discusses the factors that influence the decline in the number of marriages in Padangsidimpuan, nowadays many people including the government, historians, and the general public, are paying attention to the decline in the number of marriages. This downward trend is increasingly visible in several areas in Indonesia, such as Padangsidimpuan. Many factors influence the decline in the number of marriages. Humans are by nature social creatures, who cannot live alone without the help of others. Therefore, humans are created in pairs to be able to share emotional and physical. Marriage as a basic social institution not only reflects the relationship between two individuals, but also has a significant impact on social structure, family sustainability, and the welfare of society as a whole. The decline in the number of marriages can cause various problems and the economy. There are certain factors that contribute to this change, such as shifts in values ​​or economic factors. Knowing the views on this is important to formulate appropriate policies and find effective solutions. In this article, the research method used is the writing method using library research by collecting various sources of library studies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the implementation of gender equality values ​​in the management of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SD Negeri 200508 Padangsidimpuan. The main focus of the problem studied is how gender equality values ​​are implemented in PAI learning, whether there is a tendency for gender bias, and how teachers' efforts are to create a fair learning atmosphere for male and female students. The results of the study indicate that although there is no formal policy regarding gender equality in PAI learning at SD Negeri 200508 Padangsidimpuan, teachers have tried to create classes that are free from gender discrimination. Some of the steps implemented include equal time division, providing equal opportunities for all students to speak and ask questions, and teaching the importance of respecting each other without distinguishing between genders. However, several challenges, such as the existence of gender stereotypes that are still developing in society and limited educational facilities that support, affect the effectiveness of the implementation of gender equality principles. In conclusion, although teachers have tried to integrate gender equality values ​​in Islamic Religious Education learning, there is a need for increased training for teachers and improvements to the curriculum that are more responsive to gender issues to realize more inclusive learning at SD Negeri 200508 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Suatu perusahaan seringkali dihadapkan pada permasalahan sistem manajemen pembiayaan yang kurang efisien, sehingga menyebabkan pemborosan biaya pada proyek. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan analisa dan simulasi perhitungan pembiayaan agar dapat meminimalisir pemborosan. Tujuan dari peneIitian ini adalah untuk memahami cara manajemen proyek dalam hal pembiayaan persediaan bahan baku material, untuk mengetahui penerapan sistem just in time (JIT), dan untuk mengetahui hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman perusahaan dalam menerapkan sistem just in time (JIT) pada manajemen proyek untuk meningkatkan efisiensi biaya produksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis just in time. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa konsep just in time pada perumahan Permata Tammu-Tammu, Desa Moncongloe Bulu, Kec. Moncongloe, Kab. Maros hanya difokuskan pada material yang banyak digunakan yaitu pasir, semen, kerikil dan besi beton. Berdasarkan kondisi JIT, penghematan pasir menjadi 229,35 m3, semen menjadi 489,75 zak, Kerikil menjadi 20,25 m3, dan besi beton D10, D8, serta D8 berturut-turut sebanyak 94,87 batang, 70,64 batang, 61,19 batang.

Abstract

Praktikum survey dan pemetaan merupakan salah satu mata kuliah praktek di Jurusan Teknik Sipil Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang (JTS-PNUP). Selama ini untuk menentukan titik awal pengukuran saat praktikum menggunakan koordinat dan elevasi lokal. Objek yang digunakan juga tidak standar sesuai pengukuran sebenarnya di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat Benchmark (BM) di kampus PNUP, dan mendapatkan nilai koordinat global dan elevasi BM yang dibuat tersebut. BM yang dibuat bermanfaat dalam menunjang proses peraktikum pengukuran survey dan pemetaan, sehingga mahasiswa sudah dikenalkan dengan objek BM dan identitasnya sesuai standar. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan pembuatan fisik BM berbentuk kubus berukuran 30x30x cm3. Pada bagian bawah BM dibuat telapak berukuran 60x60 cm2 dan tebal 10 cm. Identitas BM dipasang pada pelat marmer 20x20 cm2 yang memuat informasi nama skim penelitian dan nama BM. Koordinat dan elevasi tiap BM mengacu kepada Titik Tinggi Geodesi (TTG) No. 459A berada pada posisi X= 772808.448 mT dan Y= 9423192.181 mU, dengan tinggi elipsoid 62.551 m. Berdasarkan hasil survey GNSS dengan metode statik diperoleh koordinat dan elevasi (X,Y,Z) masing-masing BM yaitu: BM.1 (775095.198, 9432589.309, 8.023), BM.2 (775095.817, 9432623.818, 7.855), BM.3 (775169.274, 9432624.950, 10.114) dan BM.4 (775158.457, 9432564.650, 8.820) berdasarkan sistem proyeksi peta UTM pada Zona 50M.
