Abstract

Embedding is an anatomical pathology laboratory device that is very important for producing quality slices and is also a device used to process paraffin tissue, so that the tissue can be cut with higher precision using a microtom (slicer). From the process of melting paraffin crystals using a manual heating process with bunsen flame heaters (fire heaters) so that the paraffin crystals can be transformed from the crystal into liquid. While paraffin crystals that have been processed from the crystal to liquid form are poured into the mold and left to freeze. In this case, an embedding system device will be made equipped with heating and cooling. The temperature used for the liquefaction process is 50ï‚°C while the temperature for cooling is 17ï‚°C. After making the process of making device, experiment device, and retrieving data, the error percentage results were 0.016% at the heating temperature and 0.08% at the coolant temperature, and the percentage of heating samples obtained in the sample was 61.3%, while the percentage samples for parts coolers get a value of 92%

Abstract

Baby incubator is very important to keep the newborn’s body temperature especially for premature babies. The research aimed to design a baby incubator with controlled temperature and humidity. The incubator is designed to have a length of 60 cm, a width of 40 cm, and a height of 30 cm. System of baby incubator will automatically turn on or turn off the fan and or heating in accordance with the normal range of temperature and humidity in the incubator. The normal limits of temperature used is 33°C to 35°C. While the normal limits of air humidity in the incubator used is between 40% and 60%. Data acquisition system consists of temperature and humidity sensor, microcontroller ATmega8535, fan, heater, and LCD. LCD is used to display the results of measurements of temperature and humidity. Heater is used to regulate the temperature in the incubator. While fan is used to regulate the humidity in the incubator. Test results show that the heater will turn on if the temperature is below the limits of 33°C. While the fan will turn on if the humidity is above 60%

Abstract

The research investigated the automatic control system implemented with the 5 DOF (Degree of Freedom) arm robot control system using the closed-loop control method with the MPU 6050 sensor, which integrated the rotation of the MG995 motor servo as a feedback function. The control of this robot used android–based application, in which the app sends data of the rotate angle for each servo motor rotated to a certain angle. The HC – 05 Bluetooth received the data and the Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller processed them. The microcontroller managed every rotation of each servo motor that integrated with an MPU6050 sensor with serial monitor communication to display the rotation of each servo motor. The test results obtained by the standard deviation value showed how large the sample diversity was. The result of this study showed a standard deviation correlation with the number of sample diversity. The higher the standard deviation value, the more sample data spread (data diverse or varies). Otherwise, the smaller the standard deviation value, the more homogenous the sample data. If the standard deviation equals zero, it indicates that the sample has identical data. The highest standard deviation value from servo motor 1 is 5.20, servo motor 2 and 3 are 1.00, servo motor 4 is 2.89, and servo motor 5 is 2.9

Abstract

Cardiac tests generally use an electrocardiograph, the results of which are used by medical teams to diagnose heart conditions. Individual ECG examination is held in a health care institution so that it cannot be held independently, considering the high costs and the need for analysis by a specialist.  It is, therefore, necessary to have a functional and portable device to detect heart rate. The heart rate measuring device, equipped with a finger sensor, was designed for adults. The 15-second measurement interval showed the heart rate in one minute and the results were shown on an LCD. The minimum system circuit used ATMega 16.

Abstract

ECG or Electrocardiograph is a tool to find out the electrical activity of the heart in patients. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a graphic result records electrical potential resulting from by heartbeat, (Mervin J. Goldman, 1990). ECG recording very useful to know present certain hypertrophy, arrhythmia, pericarditis, for example potassium electrolyte disturbances. Tool this be named generator signal ECG. Tool the generator signal ECG functioning for produce the signal Electric heart in adult patient sand to check ECG error or no. So that it can ease technical electro medic in maintenance medical equipment periodically. The tool utilizes IC 14521 as oscillator or signal generator and using IC 14 017 as a shift register who has responsibility to remove from pin 1 to pin the other. The benefits of the ECG signal generating device so that technical electro medic easy and not difficult in check ECG without must using patients. So this tool as a form clone of the human heart. The tool such as a patient simulator. Based on the results of laboratory tests that have been done with the author concluded that, ECG signal generating device to function properly so that produce form of mock patient's heart signal that shown monitored oscilloscope in the waveform display P, Q, R, S, T.

Abstract

This research will discuss health services in the role of diagnostics and life support. The system designed is a system that is able to provide information on the user's health condition, in this case, is a measure of heart rate and body temperature. In taking heart rate data using a heart rate sensor (fingertip sensor). This system works taking data from the blood flow on the index finger for the 60s, the data will be displayed through the LCD. For body temperature parameters the data collection uses the LM35 temperature sensor. Changes in sensor heat will be converted into electricity, which is translated into digital form through a 10-bit ADC that is processed by the ATMega 16 microcontroller and displayed to the LCD. The results of an ideal measurement show the error of each parameter heart rate and body temperature min 1.702% and 0.55%
