Abstract

Senyawa fenolik merupakan senyawa yang mampu bertindak sebagai antioksidan, mencegah penyakit jantung, mengurangi peradangan, dan diabetes. Salah satu tanaman yang memiliki kandungan senyawa fenolik yaitu buah okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fenolik total yang terdapat pada ekstrak etil asetat A. esculentus secara kualitatif dengan Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) dan secara kuantitaif dengan Follin-Ciocalteu menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Metode ekstraksi A. esculentus yang digunakan adalah metode maserasi dengan pelarut etil asetat. Uji KLT pada ekstrak etil asetat A. esculentus menghasilkan 2 noda pada plat KLT dengan nilai Rf 0,23 dan 0,38 dan perubahan noda setelah disemprot dengan FeCl3 10% menghasilkan perubahan warna menjadi hijau. Pengujian secara kuantitatif dengan mengukur absorbansi sampel uji menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil uji kualitatif ekstrak etil asetat A. esculentus menggunakan KLT menunjukkan adanya senyawa fenol dengan ditandai perubahan warna bercak noda menjadi hijau setelah disemprot dengan FeCl3 10%. Hasil uji kuantitatif didapatkan kadar fenolik total ekstrak etil asetat A. esculentus sebesar 11,16 mg GAE/gram.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Nanas merupakan komoditi Kabupaten Barito Kuala yang diunggulkan. Salah satu jenisnya yaitu Nanas Tamban yang memiliki ciri daging buah berwana kuning dengan jumlah kadar air banyak. Saat ini buah nanas yang berasal dari Barito Kuala memiliki beberapa produk hasil olahan yang sudah dibuat namun jumlahnya masih terbatas dan kurang bervariatif. Melakukan diversifikasi produk olahan dari buah Nanas berupa pembuatan cuka nanas dan selai nastar nanas. Tahapan yang dilakukan terbagi menjadi tahap persiapan dengan melakukan survei ke lokasi,  melakukan diskusi awal dengan tim mitra yaitu Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Karya Bunda Bersama serta melakukan proses perizinan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi pembuatan produk olahan cuka nanas dan selai nastar nanas, simulasi pengolahan produk olahan serta pendampingan pengolahan produk yang dilakukan oleh tim mitra.  Produk yang dibuat yaitu cuka nanas dan selai nastar nanas. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan tim mitra ≥ 75 % sangat setuju jika pelaksanaan kegiatan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan dari beberapa penilaian parameter yang diberikan. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa olahan cuka nanas dan selai nastar nanas bernilai komersil dan dapat diperjualbelikan. Kata Kunci: Barito Kuala, Nanas, Tamban, Produk  ABSTRACT Pineapples are a favorite commodity in Barito Kuala Regency. One type is the Tamban Pineapple which is characterized by yellow flesh with a large water content. Currently, pineapple fruit from Barito Kuala has several processed products that have been made, but the quantity is still limited and less varied. To diversify processed products from pineapple fruit in the form of making pineapple vinegar and pineapple jam. The stages carried out were divided into the preparation stage by conducting a survey of the location, conducting initial discussions with the partner team, namely the Karya Bunda Bersama Women Farmers Group (KWT) as well as carrying out the licensing process and carrying out activities including socializing the manufacture of processed pineapple vinegar and jam products, simulation of processed product processing and product processing assistance carried out by the partner team.  The products made are pineapple vinegar and pineapple jam. The results of the activity evaluation showed that the partner team ≥ 75% strongly agreed if the implementation of the activity was as expected from several parameter assessments provided. The products produced in the form of processed pineapple vinegar and pineapple jam have commercial value and can be traded. Keywords: Barito Kuala, Pineapple, Tamban, Product

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyakit degeneratif adalah suatu kondisi yang mempengaruhi organ tubuh dan biasanya terjadi pada orang-orang berusia tua atau muda.  Kolesterol disebabkan oleh seringnya konsumsi makanan tinggi lemak dan dapat memicu berbagai penyakit seperti hipertensi, jantung, stroke, dan diabetes mellitus. Hipertensi merupakan penyakit paling mematikan di seluruh dunia.  Sekitar 1,28 miliar orang dewasa berusia antara 30 dan 79 tahun di seluruh dunia menderita tekanan darah tinggi. Desa Sungai Rangas kecamatan Martapura Barat merupakan daerah yang banyak menderita hipertensi di provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi terkait pemanfaatan jus bawang putih tunggal (Allium sativum) terhadap pencegahan hipertensi, glukosa dan kolesterol. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu mulai dari proses permohonan izin pelaksanaan, persiapan alat dan bahan, pendataan warga dan pembagian form pemeriksaan kesehatan, sosialisasi dan pemeriksaan kesehatan, dan yang terakhir pembagian produk jus bawang putih tunggal. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah dari 31 orang warga Desa Sungai Rangas yang menjalani pemeriksaan kesehatan mempunyai tekanan sistolik dengan rentang 110 - 180 mmHg dan tekanan diastolik 61 - 100 mmHg. Hasil pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol berkisar pada rentang 134 - 289 mg/dl, dan kadar glukosa berkisar pada rentang 4,9 - 11,4 ml/mol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat di Desa Sungai Rangas masih ada yang memiliki kadar kolesterol, glukosa, dan darah yang cukup tinggi, sehingga harapannya edukasi dan pemeriksaan kesehatan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam pemeliharaan kesehatan. Kata Kunci: Jus Bawang Putih Tunggal, Kolesterol, Glukosa, Hipertensi, Desa Sungai Rangas  ABSTRACT Degenerative disease is a condition that affects organs of the body and usually occurs in people of old or young age. Cholesterol is caused by frequent consumption of high-fat foods and can trigger a variety of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes mellitus. Hypertension is the deadliest diseases in the world. Approximately 1.28 billion adults aged between 30 and 79 worldwide suffer from high blood pressure. The Sungai Rangas Village, located in the West Martapura subdistrict of South Kalimantan province, suffers with hypertension. This service aims to provide education regarding the use of single garlic juice (Allium sativum) to prevent hypertension, glucose and cholesterol. The method used is starting from the process of applying for an implementation permit, preparing tools and materials, collecting data on residents and distributing health examination forms, socialization and health examinations, and finally distributing single garlic juice products. The results obtained were that 31 residents of Sungai Rangas Village who underwent health checks had systolic pressure in the range of 110 - 180 mmHg and diastolic pressure of 61 - 100 mmHg. The results of cholesterol levels ranged from 134 - 289 mg/dl, and glucose levels ranged from 4.9 - 11.4 ml/mol. It can be inferred that some residents in Sungai Rangas Village have elevated levels of cholesterol, glucose, and blood. Therefore, it was suggested that providing education and health screenings may improve public awareness in maintaining good health. Keywords: Single Garlic Juice, Cholesterol, Glucose, Hypertension, Sungai Rangas Village

Abstract

The use of herbal medicine as a treatment is increasing, especially in Mekarsari District, Barito Kuala Regency. Without proper education, traditional medicine practices can have a negative impact on health. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and use of traditional medicine in patients seeking treatment at the Mekarsari Health Centre. This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all outpatients at the Mekarsari Health Centre in January 2023. This study used a purposive sampling technique in sampling and used a validated questionnaire instrument in data collection. The results showed that 47% of respondents had a sufficient level of knowledge, 25% had a good level of knowledge, 14% had a poor level of knowledge, and 13% had a poor level of knowledge. Based on the method of obtaining traditional medicine, it is known that 55% said that it was from herbal medicine sellers in the form of powder or infusions with a duration of use ranging from one to three days. The majority of traditional medicine users use it to relieve pain and aches (22%). Based on the effects after consuming traditional medicine, 78% said they felt better and 99% said they had no side effects.

Abstract

Traditional medicines are widely used by people from the herbal medicine group, standardized herbal medicines and phytopharmaca. People know that traditional medicine is limited to herbal medicine and standardized herbal medicine. while phytopharmaca still sounds unfamiliar to the public. Regarding knowledge and use of medicines that are beneficial for health in traditional medicine, it is still limited, the majority of people consume traditional herbal medicines as many as 100 people, which they make themselves using nutritious plants. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between knowledge and the use of traditional medicine in Sungai Rutas Village. Analytical observation research method with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling containing 100 samples. The results of the research show that the level of knowledge of the majority of people is sufficient, as many as 54 people (54%), and the majority of people's use of traditional medicine is sufficient, as many as 45 people (45%). Apart from that, the results of relevant statistical analysis, namely the chi-square test, found that there was a relationship between knowledge (p-value = 0.008) and the use of traditional medicine as alternative medicine in the community in Sungai Rutas Village, Tapin Regency. The conclusion was that the level of public knowledge regarding the use of traditional medicine was sufficient knowledge, namely 54 people (54%). 46 people (46%) used traditional medicine. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance with a p-value = 0.008.

Abstract

Karamunting plant (R. tomentosa) (Aiton) Hassk.) is a plant that can be used as a source of natural antioxidants. Karamunting contains active compounds of natural antioxidants such as flavonoids. The purpose of this study was to find out the best formula based on the physical characteristics of the karamunting fruit infusion gummy candies preparation with different gelatin content and to determine the level of respondent's preference for the karamunting fruit infusion gummy candies preparation. The gummy candies formulation was made with variations in gelatin concentration of 7%, 9%, 10%, and 11%. The physical evaluations carried out included organoleptic tests, pH tests, water content tests, weight uniformity tests, elasticity tests, and hedonic tests. The organoleptic results showed that F1 and F2 were green in color, tasted not sweet, had a melon aroma, were semi-solid, and had a texture that was easily crushed or not chewy. F3 and F4 are green in color, taste less sweet and sweet, melon aroma, semi-solid, chewy texture, evaluation of gummy candies preparations shows pH 5.01-6.38, but the water content exceeds the requirements, namely 92.59% -58.11%. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that based on the physical characteristics of the gummy candies infusion preparation of karamunting fruit, formula III met the requirements based on the results of the physical test of the preparation and became the most preferred formula based on the hedonic test
