Abstract

The role of the wholesale and retail trade sector, car reparation and motorcycle repair ranks first among other sectors and has a direct effect in accelerating economic activity to produce goods and services. The role of this sector during the 2015-2019 period fluctuated to reach the level of 30.60 percent in 2019. Gampong Karang Anyar has 3 Cassava chip industries that are still underdeveloped. It is due to the lack of innovation in products, traditional marketing strategy and low information technology marketing utilization. Based on these problems, business actors need deeper knowledge of business management concept for product commercialization, especially related to packaging design and marketing that utilize information technology. The method of implementing this community service activities was counseling or socialization for improving packaging and marketing designs as well as training and mentoring for digital marketing by using Google My Business platform. By having this activity, partners are expected to be better in managing their business and capable to expand market share so that they can support business development and progress, which can increase business income.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the tourism industry development strategy on Rukui Island of Aceh Tamiang Regency. The population is tourist visitors, Regional Development Planning Agency, and Tourism, Youth and Sport Office. The analysis method uses SWOT. The results show that the main strength factor is that the community supports the government in developing tourism objects; the weakness is that the facilities are not yet available (public toilets and lounging huts); the opportunity is that this tourist attraction is able to encourage economic activity, create jobs for the surrounding community, the number of tourists who want to visit Rukui Island; and, the threat is the lack of awareness of tourists to maintain cleanliness. The recommended strategies are to increase promotion through various print and electronic media; improve facilities, infrastructure and supporting infra-structure; government and private investors joint together to create new innovations; and, the government cooperates with the community to provide socialization and guidance so as to improve the quality of human resources.

Abstract

East Aceh District is one of the areas that has a high stunting prevalence rate/above the Aceh Provincial average of 33,5 percent. This means that, according to WHO, East Aceh District has a poor public health problem or a chronic stunting problem. The purpose of this study was to identify the socio-economic determinants of stunting and formulate an alternative model for handling stunting in East Aceh District. This research used a qualitative approach, whit primary data sources through FDGs and interviews with relevant agencies. After obtaining result about the determinants of stunting, an analysis was carried out using the SWOT method to obtain an alternative model. The results of the study obtained that the dominant factor causing stunting is the family economy and the alternative handling model is through empowering village communities in meeting food needs independently.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of education and per capita income on the poverty rate in Aceh Province during the period 2010 to 2023. The level of education is measured through average years of schooling, while per capita income reflects the economic welfare condition of the community. Secondary data in this study were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and analyzed using multiple linear regression method. The results show that education has a negative and significant influence on poverty, while per capita income shows a positive but insignificant influence. Overall, these two variables have a significant influence on poverty in Aceh Province. This shows the importance of increasing access to education and improving income distribution to reduce poverty. However, increasing per capita income alone is not effective enough if it is not accompanied by equal distribution and improved quality of education. The coefficient of determination (R²) for the variables of education and per capita income on poverty in Aceh Province is 92.41%, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the variables of this study.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of education on poverty and unemployment in Aceh within the timeframe of 2013-2022. The method employed is time series data analysis using path analysis. The results indicate that education has a direct, negative, and significant impact on the poverty rate, as well as a direct, negative, and significant impact on the unemployment rate. Additionally, it is found that poverty has a direct, positive impact on unemployment, albeit not significant. Indirectly, education also exerts a significant influence on the unemployment rate through the poverty variable. The total coefficient of determination in thus study is 99,44%, while the remaining 0,03% is influenced by other variables such as per capita income, labor force participation rate, and others.

Abstract

Angka kemiskinan di Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan masih dijadikan problematika pada pembangunan yang belum bisa terselesaikan. Tujuan studi ini mengetahui dampak Pertumbuhan Ekonomi, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia dan Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja atas Tingkat Kemiskinan di Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan Tahun 2014-2023. Analisis data menggunakan metode Regresi Linier Berganda dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Eviews Versi 10 Student Lite. Dengan nilai F 39,24989 dan nilai sig 0,0159, studi mendeskripsikan bahwasanya variabel independent memberi dampak significant atas variabel dependent secara bersamaan. Tingkat kemiskinan dipengaruhi secara negative dan tak significant oleh pertumbuhan ekonomi, sedangkan indeks pembangunan mempunyai dampak negative dan tak significant. Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja mempunyai dampak negative dan significant di Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepadatan penduduk, pendidikan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap kriminalitas di Kota Langsa. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder, dengan periode pengamatan sepuluh tahun yaitu tahun 2014-2023. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda. Perangkat lunak yang digunakan untuk melakukan analisis adalah eviews 10. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : secara parsial kepadatan penduduk berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kriminalitas di kota Langsa, pendidikan memiliki berpengaruh negatif dan singnifikan terhadap kriminalitas di Kota Langsa, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengarun negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kriminalitas di Kota Langsa. Sementara secara simultan kepadatan pendudukan, pendidikan, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap kriminalitas di Kota Langsa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisa bagaimana peningkatan infrastruktur di Provinsi Sumatera Utara mempengaruhi ketimpangan ekonomi. Meskipun dapat mendorong perluasan ekonomi, infrastruktur yang memadai tidak selalu menjamin pemerataan perekonomian. Studi ini melihat pengaruh panjang jalan, penjualan listrik pelanggan, dan jumlah air bersih yang diberikan kepada pengguna. Data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sumatera Utara dianalisis menggunakan model regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini dapat membantu pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Utara mengembangkan kebijakan yang dapat meningkatkan infrastruktur dan mengurangi kesenjangan ekonomi dengan memberikan masukan dan saran. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pentingnya infrastruktur dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan mengurangi ketimpangan sekaligus memberikan kontribusi di bidang perekonomian, khususnya di bidang kesenjangan ekonomi dan infrastruktur.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of government spending and local revenue (PAD) on economic growth in North Sumatra for the period 2014-2023. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression, with t-tests and F-tests to determine the significance of the variables. The results indicate that government spending has a positive but insignificant effect on economic growth, with a coefficient of 2.83. In contrast, PAD shows a negative and significant effect on economic growth, with a coefficient of -2.08. Simultaneously, government spending and PAD have a significant influence on economic growth, with an R-squared value of 65.90%. These findings highlight the need for local governments to optimize spending and enhance the effectiveness of PAD in supporting sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Dana Alokasi Umum (DAU) dan Dana Alokasi Khusus (DAK) terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Meskipun pemerintah telah mengimplementasikan berbagai kebijakan untuk mengatasi kemiskinan, isu ini tetap menjadi tantangan yang kompleks. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) periode 2014-2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa DAU berpengaruh negatif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap kemiskinan, sedangkan DAK berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Secara simultan, DAU dan DAK menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat kemiskinan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun terdapat pengaruh dari alokasi dana, efektivitas dalam mengurangi kemiskinan masih dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain, termasuk pengelolaan dan distribusi dana yang tepat sasaran.
