Abstract

As the main source of income for farmers in Telang Karyamaka Village is needed proper rice farming management in order to increase farmer production and income. To achieve this goal, farmers as a manager must be able to utilize the existing production factors optimally. This study aims to: 1) Calculate the cost production and income of tidal paddy rice farming 2). Analyze the factors of production affecting tidal paddy farming 3). Analyzing the efficient use of production factors in tidal paddy rice farming. This research was conducted in Telang Karya Village Muara Telang Sub District The method used in this research is survey method and sampling in this research is Simple Random sampling method. The results showed that income earned on rice farming in Telang Karya Village was Rp.42.954.291 per planted area per planting season. Factors that have significant effect on rice farming are: seeds, SP36 fertilizer, pesticide and labor while fertilizer variable urea and NPK fertilizers have no significant effect on rice farming. The use of inefficient production factors is urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer and SP36 fertilizer. While the inefficient production factors are seeds, pesticides and labor.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang  20 Oktober 2020. pp. xxx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Fragrant lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus L.Rendle) is a grass plant, originally potential to prevent soil erosion and rehabilitating critical lands, it turns out that this plant contains essential oils from the leaves and stems which is very potential to be used by the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. This study aims to determine the effect of harvesting time and time of distillation process on the characteristics of citronella oil produced. This study used a randomized block design arranged in a factorial which consists of two factors, namely the age of harvest of fragrant lemongrass leaves (4 and 6 months) and distillation time (3,4,5,6 hours), with 8 treatment combinations, and three replications. Implementation of research on CV Alam Palindra Agro, komplek kavling Palindra Green City Indralaya Ogan Ilir. The results of the study are harvest age of 4 months of fragrant lemongrass leaves gives the best results against yield, geraniol, citronellal, specific gravity and refractive index. The distillation time was treated for 5 hours gives the best results against yield, geraniol, citronellal, specific gravity and refractive index. The interaction between harvesting age of 4 months of citronella leaves and 5 hours of distillation time give the best influence on yield, geraniol, citronellal, and specific gravity but the best refractive index at 6 months of harvest. The conclusion is harvest age 4 months and distillation 5 hours provide the best yieldand quality of lemongrass oil.

Abstract

The majority of  cattle  farmers businesses in Rejodadi Village Sembawa Disrict Banyuasin Regency  are still managed in a small-scale traditional pattern with an average number of 3-5 cattle and are used as a side business, where the main business is plantation labor. The study aimed  to : 1) Calculating the income from cattle business in Rejodadi Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency, 2) Analyzing what factors affect the income level of beef cattle business in Rejodadi Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in Rejodadi Village, Sembawa District. The location selection was done purposively, the research method used in this study was a survey method, for the sampling method was simple random sampling, which took as many as 30 respondents from 60 cattle breeders in Rejodadi Village. Based on the research results, the average income of beef cattle business in Rejodadi Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency is Rp. . 20,146,016. The factors that significantly affect the income variable of beef cattle business in Rejodadi Village are the cost of feeder cattle (X1), the cost of medicines (X2), the cost of feed (X3), the price (X4), the cost of the cage (X5). . While the variable that has no significant effect on livestock business income is the experience of raising livestock (X6).

Abstract

Waste, both organic and inorganic, has become a global problem. Waste generated from kitchen activities, such as leftover vegetables and fruit, contributes significantly to the waste problem. This community service activity aims to train people in Sungsang IV Village, Banyuasin II Distric, Banyuasin Regency, to process vegetable and fruit waste resulting from kitchen activities to be eco-enzymes and their derivative products. Activities are carried out for 3 months, starting from initial preparation of situation and needs analysis. Implementation in the field involves socialization and training methods for making eco-enzymes and their derivative products in the form of soap and fertilizer. As a result of this activity, the people of Sungsang IV Village succeeded in making 50 liters of eco enzymes and 20 liters of liquid soap. In this activity, the community was also given training to use eco-enzymes as fertilizer. Training participants are taught to grow organic vegetables in their home yards by using eco-enzymes. The people in Sungsang IV village have a high curiosity about new and positive things. They enthusiastically took part in the training and as a result, on October 7, 2023, they participated in an exhibition for MSMEs making eco-enzymes and their derivative products. The Exhibition was organized by the Banyuasin Regency Government.

(pp. 472-481).  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Achieving productivity in rice farming cannot be separated from the performance of farmer groups. The research objective is to measure the combined performance of farmer groups in increasing the productivity of rice farming. Calculating productivity and analyzing the relationship between Kelompok Tani performance and rice farming productivity. The research method is a survey method. Determination of samples using a simple random method. The results of this research based on the total score of 50.9, the performance of the farmer group is with medium criteria. Average production is 5,181 kg/year/arable area. The productivity of rice farming ranges from 1000 kg/ha to 6500 kg/ha and the average productivity is 3,455 kg/year/ha. There is a significant relationship between the performance of farmer groups and the productivity of rice farming. The performance of the rice farmer group as a vehicle for learning classes, a vehicle for collaboration and as a production unit has a score of 50.9 with medium criteria. The average productivity of rice farming is 3,455 kg/ha/year. There is a positive and significant relationship between the performance of farmer groups and productivity with a correlation coefficient value of 0.385 with the criterion of medium closeness.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the importance of farmers in marketing pineapples as a leading commodity in Senuro Village. This study aims to analyze the marketing behavior of pineapple commodities based on the demographics of farmers in Senuro Village. The method used in this research is the survey method. The sampling method employed is simple random sampling with a sample size of 33 farmers. Research data were collected by distributing questionnaires. The data were processed and analyzed using the independent Sample t-Test. The research results indicate that the concept of pineapple commodity marketing behavior significantly affects the demographics of farmers in Senuro Village, and there is no significant difference between selling time, behavior towards the fruit, and buyers with education level and farming experience.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya petani dalam memasarkan nanas sebagai komoditas unggulan di Desa Senuro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku pemasaran komoditas nanas berdasarkan demografi petani desa senuro. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode survei. Metode penarikan contoh dengan menggunakan metode simple random sampling dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 33 petani. Data penelitian diambil dengan menyebarkan kuisioner. Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan uji independent Sample t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep perilaku pemasaran komoditas nanas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap demografi petani Desa Senuro dan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara waktu jual, perilaku terhadap buah dan pihak pembeli dengan tingkat pendidikan dan pengalaman bertani.

Abstract

Tanaman kelapa pada area yang mengalami siklus pasang surut dan penggenangan air mengahadapi beberapa kendala jika tidak dikelola dengan optimal. Untuk itu penyuluhan budidaya yang tepat, dan pengenalan pola tanam yang optimal untuk dapat meningkatkan penerimaan yang maksimal pada usahatani kelapa menjadi sangat perlu. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman petani pada pengetahuan tentang tumpang sari meningkat dari 36,4% (4 orang) menjadi 90,9% (10 orang), pemahaman terhadap manfaat meningkat dari 27,3% (3 orang) menjadi 81,8% (9 orang), dan keyakinan akan nilai ekonomi tumpang sari meningkat dari 45,5% (5 orang) menjadi 72,7% (8 orang). Sebanyak 10 dari 11 petani menyatakan ketertarikan untuk menerapkan optimalisasi lahan melalui teknik tumpang sari, meskipun masih ditemukan satu petani yang ragu karena terbatasnya modal, usia petani, dan usia tanaman yang sudah tidak memungkinkan untuk melakukan adaptasi terhadap metode budidaya baru. Kegiatan penyuluhan yang telah dilakukan berhasil mengubah persepsi dan minat petani, membuka peluang peningkatan produktivitas dan pendapatan petani. Untuk keberlanjutan diperlukan kegiatan penyuluhan sesuai kebutuhan yaitu pelatihan maupun pengetahuan dalam analisis pasar dan praktik lapangan.Abstract. Coconut plants in areas that experience ebb and flow cycles and waterlogging face several obstacles if not managed optimally. For this reason, appropriate cultivation extension and introduction of optimal planting patterns to be able to increase maximum income from coconut farming are very necessary. The results showed an increase in farmers' understanding of intercropping knowledge increased from 36.4% (4 people) to 90.9% (10 people), understanding of the benefits increased from 27.3% (3 people) to 81.8% (9 people), and belief in the economic value of intercropping increased from 45.5% (5 people) to 72.7% (8 people). As many as 10 out of 11 farmers expressed interest in implementing land optimization through intercropping techniques, although one farmer was still hesitant due to limited capital, age of the farmer, and age of the plants that no longer allow for adaptation to new cultivation methods. The extension activities that have been carried out have succeeded in changing farmers' perceptions and interests, opening up opportunities for increasing farmer productivity and income. For sustainability, extension activities are needed according to needs, namely training and knowledge in market analysis and field practice.

Abstract

UMKM Ayam Crispy 99 adalah salah satu usaha mikro yang bergerak dalam bidang makanan cepat saji dan lokasi usaha berada di Kota Palembang. Dalam pengelolaan persediaan UMKM Ayam Crispy 99 masih menggunakan sistem tradisional. Pemilik usaha biasanya mencatat jumlah ayam yang diperoleh dari pemasok lokal serta jumlah yang terjual sehari sebelumnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kuantitas pembelian bahan baku ayam yang efisien untuk memenuhi permintaan konsumen pada UMKM Ayam Crispy 99. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling) di UMKM Ayam Crispy 99 karena merupakan sentra kuliner berbasis ayam yang mengalami kendala dalam pengendalian persediaan bahan baku. Responden penelitian adalah pemilik UMKM Ayam Crispy 99. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung (Idata primer), serta telaah pustaka dan data dari instansi terkait (data sekunder). Data diolah secara kualitatif dan secara kuantitatif untuk analisis perhitungan EOQ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) didapatkan bahwa jumlah pesanan paling ekonomis adalah 730 kg, yang secara signifikan akan mengurangi frekuensi pemesanan dan berpotensi menekan total biaya persediaan. Selain itu, perhitungan menunjukkan perlunya persediaan pengaman (safety stock) sebesar 22 kg dan titik pemesanan kembali (Reorder Point/ROP) pada 52 kg untuk memastikan ketersediaan bahan baku dan kelancaran produksi.
