Teachers’ Perception, Plan, Implementation, and Evaluation toward The Use of Super Minds Textbook in EFL Classroom Septiana, Eka; Mujiyanto, Januarius; Sutopo, Djoko

Abstract

This study proposes to explore teachers’ perception, plan, implementation, and evaluation toward the use of Super Minds textbook in EFL Classroom. The study employed case study approach. Two teachers were selected to become participants in this study. The data were gathered through questionnaire, semi-structured interview, classroom observations, and document analysis. The result of this study revealed that both teachers had positive perception on the use of Super Minds textbook. That was indicated from their positive thoughts on their planning and implementation that Super Minds textbook became an effective and engaging learning source in the classroom. The two teachers planned the lesson using the topic and material from Super Minds textbook. Although the teachers’ did the same stages in planning, the plan was implemented and resulted in different ways. They used supplementary materials provided from the textbook package as their teaching aids for enhancing the students in the classroom. The two teachers are evaluated as good practitioners for students in using Super Minds textbook. All this result leads to the alignment between teachers’ perception, plans, implementation, and evaluation. It was proven by teachers’ positive perception on toward the use of Super Minds textbook reflected in their planning, actual implementation, and evaluation in the classroom. It was expected for further research to possibly continue this study by using another textbook in different level of students so that it will give another perspective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari kurangnya pemahaman konsep siswa pada pembelajaran tema yang dibuktikan dari hasil wawancara dan observasi dengan data nilai ulangan harian memperoleh presentase ketidaktuntasan 56% muatan Matematika dan 50% pada muatan Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan pemahaman konsep dengan menerapkan media pembelajaran Patatik  (Papan Pintar Tematik) pada materi sudut dan simbol siswa kelas III SD. Media Patatik merupakan media Papan Pintar Tematik yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran tema khususnya muatan Matematika dan Bahasa Indonesia. Pemahaman konsep merupakan kemampuan memahami materi untuk diungkapkan kembali dalam bentuk lainnya. PTK ini dilaksanakan di kelas III SDN Sumberjo dengan subjek penelitian 18 siswa. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 2 siklus yang terdiri dari 2 pertemuan setiap siklusnya dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan tes pemahaman konsep. Uji validitas yang digunakan adalah validitas isi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada siklus I memperoleh presentase klasikal sebesar 61% dengan kategori cukup kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II memperoleh presentase klasikal sebesar 83% dengan kategori baik.

Abstract

Arabic language learning is often carried out by Islamic educational institutions such as madrasa-based or integrated Islamic schools. Nowadays, Arabic is often considered a scary and difficult subject to understand. Method is a method or path that must be followed in achieving learning goals, including Arabic language lessons. By holding educational games as a learning method, it can support students' learning process. This can happen because students will feel happy when learning. The method used by the author in this article is a qualitative descriptive method, where data is collected through interviews and observations at MTs Negeri 2 Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The educational games applied to learning Arabic in this school include crossword puzzles, snakes and ladders, and the singing method for memorizing vocabulary.

Abstract

Calligraphy is a branch of Arabic knowledge that focuses on the art of writing in Arabic. The art of writing has developed over time. Especially nowadays, an application called Anā Muhtarif Al Khaṭ has emerged, where this application has an influence in the field of calligraphy. Based on this, the author is interested in knowing the impact of using the Anā Muhtarif Al Khaṭ application on calligraphy science. In this research, the author uses qualitative methods, where the author collects data and information through literature studies and trials. The results of this research are that this application has a good influence, especially for audiences who want to create calligraphic works who do not have special talent or expertise in the field of calligraphic writing. On the other hand, this application also has negative impacts, including threatening the history of calligraphy in terms of writing manually using a brush and canvas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Financial Knowledge, Persepsi, Religiusitas, dan Disposable Income Terhadap Minat Menabung di Bank Syariah(Studi Pada Pelaku UMKM di Kecamatan Terbanggi Besar Lampung Tengah).Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan populasi yaitu Pelaku UMKM sebanyak 550 usaha dengan sampel yang digunakan yaitu tekhnikstratified random sampling yaitu sampel yang digunakan 41 Pelaku UMKM.Berdasarkan hasil uji secara parsial dapat disimpulkan bahwa Financial Knowledge berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat menabung pelakuUMKM di bank syariah. Hal ini berdasarkan perhitungan uji T yaitu thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,408 > 2,02809. Persepsi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minatmenabung pelaku UMKM di bank syariah. Hal ini berdasarkan perhitungan thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,490 >2,02809. Religiusitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikanterhadap minat menabung pelaku UMKM di bank syariah. Hal ini berdasarkanperhitungan thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,237 > 2,02809. Disposable Income tidakberpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat menabung pelaku UMKM di bank syariah. Hal ini berdasarkan perhitungan thitung < ttabel yaitu 1,976 < 2,02809.Dan berdasarkan uji simultan bahwa dapat disimpulkan Financial Knowledge,Persepsi, Religiusitas, dan Disposable Income berpengaruh secara positif dansignifikan terhadap minat menabung pelaku UMKM di bank syariah. Hal ini dapatdilhat dari nilai Fhitung sebesar 4,204 yang lebih besar dari Ftabel sebesar 2,63.
