Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of hedonic shopping motivation, sales promotions and shopping lifestyle on the impulse buying of Shopee e-commerce users, both simultaneously and partially. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The population in this study was 45 employees at PT.Metro Makmur Jaya Pematang Siantar. Simultaneously, hedonic shopping motivation, sales promotions and shopping lifestyle influence the impulse buying of Shopee e-commerce users. Impulse buying which is influenced by hedonic shopping motivation, sales promotions and shopping lifestyle is 70% while the remaining 30% is influenced by other factors not examined in this research.

Abstract

- This study aims to build a decision support system that can help facilitate the selection of the right used car for potential buyers. To be able to buy a used car that suits the needs and funds owned by consumers, buyers must consider the many criteria and factors of each used car which consists of various brands that exist today. This study uses the ELECTRE (Elimination and Choice Translation Reality) method. The criteria in the comparison used in this decision support system are documents, cylinder volume, year of production and car price. The ELECTRE method is used in conditions where alternatives that do not meet the criteria are eliminated, and suitable alternatives can be generated. Of the 8 samples of used cars studied, the best recommendation was Ayla (A4) with a total aggregate of 4 and an alternative that was not recommended was Agya (A3) with a total aggregate of 0.

Abstract

Student learning interest plays a crucial role in educational success, as it directly influences engagement, comprehension, and academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the influence of pedagogical strategies on students’ learning interest using a machine learning approach with the Random Forest algorithm. Eight aspects of teaching strategies were examined as predictor variables, while learning interest was measured through two main indicators: interest in real-world application of the material and motivation for self-directed learning. Data were collected from 100 students via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Orange Data Mining. The model was validated through 10-fold cross-validation and evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and AUC. The results indicate strong model performance, with 95% accuracy, 96.7% precision, 97.8% recall, and a 97.2% F1-score. Feature importance analysis identified practical activities (P4), an inclusive learning environment (P6), and the use of technology (P3) as the most influential predictors of learning interest. In contrast, variables such as P1, P2, and P8 showed minimal contribution. These findings demonstrate that Random Forest is not only effective for classification tasks but also valuable in identifying key factors for improving pedagogical strategies. The results are expected to inform the development of more adaptive, interactive, and student-centered learning environments.

Abstract

Abstract The performance of an employee towards the company is very important in the world of work, every company wants its employees to have good performance in working, for that, to create good performance among employees, a good work environment and organizational culture and job satisfaction are needed. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the work environment and organizational culture through job satisfaction as an intervening variable that has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) Pematangsiantar. The type of research used by the researcher is quantitative descriptive. The population used in this study were all employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Pematangsiantar totaling 55 people who work in all divisions within the company. Data analysis techniques were carried out using path analysis. The results of the study showed that the work environment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, the work environment and organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Job satisfaction can mediate between work environment and organizational culture on employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) Pematangsiantar, Data processing using SPSS 22 application.
