Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengenalkan kosakata bahasa daerah (Marori) sebagai bahasa ibu kepada siswa SD Negeri Wasur 1 Merauke. Selain itu tujuan penelitian lain yang dapat dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah menumbuhkembangkan rasa kecintaan siswa terhadap bahasa ibu (Marori) yang dari hari ke hari semakin pudar. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran ini adalah teknik retrival jaringan semantik yakni dengan mengaitkan konsep kosakata dalam kehidupan siswa. Pembelajaran dikaitkan dengan skemata siswa dengan media MaindMaple Lite. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Penekanan dalam penelitian ini adalah pada aspek pemahaman secara mendalam untuk melihat permasalahan dalam suatu masalah. Dengan adanya penelitian kualitatif dapat menghasilkan makna dan informasi yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan perbendaharaan kosakata bahasa daerah (Marori). Pertemuan pertama sebanyak 8 siswa mampu metrif 6 kata dengan 100%, 6 siswa meretrif 4 kata (22,22%), 4 siswa meretrif 4 kata (22,22%). Pertemuan  kedua sebanyak 10 siswa meretrif 6 kata (100%), 6 siswa meretrif 5 kata (22,22%), dan 2 siswa meretrif 4 kata  (22,22%). Pertemuan ketiga sebanyak 12 siswa meretrif 8 kata (100%), 2 siswa meretrif 7 kata (11,11%) dan 4 siswa meretrif 7 kata (22, 22%). Pertemuan keempat dari jumlah 18 siswa mampu meretrif 11 kata dengan desain peta semantik dengan presentasi 100%.

Abstract

The use of technology in language learning has been going on for a long time. Many technological characteristics are currently utilized in language learning as a result of the rapid growth of technology. MALL is one of them. This study aims to review integrating MALL in English language teaching (ELT). The study employed a systematic review checklist as a method. Findings suggest that MALL has a good impact on students' English language development, which leads to positive outcomes, according to the overall findings. Parents, teachers, and students expressed an interest in promoting MALL in ELT. Teachers were enthusiastic about MALL and felt that it could be utilized to teach English. MALL also had a positive influence in educational contexts, with students enthusiastic about utilizing it in English classes. They also believe that MALL provides them with numerous benefits when performing their tasks. Due to the challenges teachers and students encounter in applying and using MALL in ELT, such as psychological, pedagogical, and technical limits, stakeholders are expected to develop solutions and policies to achieve effective technology-oriented learning in ELT.  Keywords: Systematic review, MALL, ELT

Abstract

Speaking English is a skill that should be having of young generation in the revolution industry 4.0 due to its uses as a communication tool in science and technology. Students’ ability in speaking can improve through various media, such as procedural text. Investigating using procedural text to improve speaking ability is the main objectives of this study. To acquire data, it used a test done in the pre-action, while observation used during the whilst-action. Finally, this action research indicated students’ improving with the speaking components; fluency, diction, intonation, sentence structure, or grammar. The study implies integrating oral and written skills can teach simultaneously. Also, combining procedural text with technology is the recommendation for future study.

Abstract

This paper was conducted by literature research which is, firstly, aimed to describe the spread of Biak language as a lingua franca in the past in relation to its classification, users, domains, concurrent languages, internal varieties, spoken tradition and standardisation as well as the typology of the language. The language has been developed by its speakers throughout the bird’s head peninsula of West Papua. Secondly, it intended to trace “who (ancestors) and where” the language has been used. It is believed that language provides clues to investigate the ancestors and the spread of a race.

Abstract

Teacing English as foreign language in junior hogh school forced teacher to used to technology as an interest media to attract student in learning. Chiefly, An application was blasted off by CultureAlley in 2014; hello English has potential to solve student’s problem of understanding simple past tense. To seeing the using Hello English Aplication giving impact significantly in understanding of simple past tense was the crucial intention of this study. In doing treatment, it used experimental and control class with 46 participants. Crucially, study proven that Data findings and discussion proven 1) there was difference significantly of posttest between at experiemental class; 95.6% and control class; 60.9% 2) Normality distribution figured out experimental group in posttest is 0.200> ? (0.05) and the significance value of control group in posttest is 0.051>? (0.05). The significance value of both groups are higher than ? (0.05). It means that H0 is accepted and H1 is refused. So, the test distribution of both two groups is normal 3) Homogenity test confirmed ? value (significant value) is higher than ? value. ? > ?, 0,955 > 0,05. Back to the hypothesis, H? is accepted if ? > ?. So it means that the classes are homogeny 4) T-Test delighted 0.000 < a (0.05) for this reason H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Absolutely this study concludes the using hello English Aplication is an interest effective media in learning simple past tense; encouraging self-learning; gadget’s changing better behaviour. Abstract

  Self-efficacy is the belief that someone can do work successfully. The study purposes to explore whether collaborative task-based instruction (TBI) can empower EFL self-efficacy? The study uses a critical review, content analysis, and interpretation regarding five perspectives namely in terms (1) cognitive-interactionist, (2) psycholinguistics, (3) sociocultural, (4) psychological, and (5) educational. The results note TBI is effective to use to empower EFL learners’ self-efficacy. And, psychological perspective is the most significant to use.

Abstract

Penggunaan e-learning diyakini dapat mengatasi keterbatasan perkuliahan di kelas dan  menyediakan  layanan belajar yang dapat diakses darimana saja dan kapan saja.  Kegiatan  pelatihan  ini  diharapkan  dapat meningkatkan  keterampilan  pendidik  dalam  menggunakan  e-learning.  Pelatihan  ini dilaksanakan  selama  satu  hari  di  melalui aplikasi webex dan didampingi oleh Gelora jatim . Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam  bentuk  simulasi,  latihan,  dan  pemecahan  masalah.  Materi  pelatihan  adalah pedoman  penggunaan  e-learning  berbasis  Moodle  untuk  dosen,  yang  terdiri  dari pengaturan  mata  kuliah,  penambahan  sumber  belajar,  membuat  grup,  memantau progress  belajar  mahasiswa,  dan  penggunaan  fitur  forum,  chatting,  penugasan,  kuis, dan  laporan  nilai.  Kegiatan  pelatihan  dapat  dikatakan  berhasil  berdasarkan kemampuan peserta dalam memperagakan materi dan dibuktikan dengan hasil karya mereka  pada  laman  e-learning.  Peserta  merasa  pelatihan  ini  penting  karena  dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam mengelola pembelajaran melalui e-learning
