Abstract

This research aims to see the role of Pasang Ri Kajang which is a cultural heritage from ancestors of Kajang tribe society in Bulukumba district, South Sulawesi. This research is expected to be able to provide a substantial contribution in the preservation of local cultural products which are increasingly squeezed by the flow of globalization. In this research used ethnographic method which is regard to the social sciences. This research used library and field research in the form of interview technique. The library research is directed to find the supporting theories about the role of Pasang Ri Kajang. Field research carried out the interview techniques with several informants who were considered representative to provide an overview of all cases that related to the Pasang Ri Kajang culture. The result of data from library and field research used descriptive qualitative techniques to produce conclusions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the racial issues that were contained in the poem and to find out the impact of racism on black people in the poem. The method used was descriptive method with a social approach. The researcher really understands the contents of the poem by reading it repeatedly, noting important parts, then compiling data that are directly related to this research. The results showed that in Jericho Brown's poetry, there were many issues of racism that occurred both from the past and the present. There were racism types that can be found in the poem, such as discrimination, injustice, skin color, segregation and slavery and in this poem, it is also found that there are racist acts against black people in the form of oppression, death, hunger, and death that happened to people. black skinned. In this study, it is explained that racist acts have a bad impact on those who experience them and there are many types of racist acts that can be understood. The conclusion of this research was various types of racist acts are found in three of Jericho Brown's poems entitled the tradition, at the end of hell, and langstone blue, namely discrimination actions, injustice, segregation, slavery and skin color by people with white skin against black people in the past and present.

Abstract

Menyusui adalah proses alamiah yang keberhasilannya tidak diperlukan alat khusus dan biaya yang mahal, namun membutuhkan kesabaran, waktu dan pengetahuan tentang menyusui serta dukungan dari keluarga terutama suami. Cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif ditingkatkan dengan merancang intervensi yang efektif. Inisiatif yang dapat mendorong penyediaan kualitas dukungan untuk ibu menyusui. Rekomendasi yang dilakukan berupa program ASI eksklusif, yaitu memberikan ASI saja sejak bayi lahir sampai usia 6 bulan, kemudian dilanjutkan sampai usia 2 tahun dengan bantuan makanan pendamping ASI atau MP ASI. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh sikap dan self efficacy terhadap niat untuk menyusui pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Rappokaling Kota Makassar. Design penelitisn ini adalah Cross Sectional study. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah ibu hamil yang kehamilannya memasuki trimester III, sebanyak 46 ibu hamil. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menguji pengaruh hubungan variabel yang diteliti dengan menggunakan uji chi square.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh sikap dan self efficacy terhadap niat untuk menyusui pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Rappokaling Kota Makassar. Disarankan Petugas puskesmas untuk selalu memberikan dorongan kepada ibu hamil dalam berniat untuk menyusui bayinya. Ibu hamil hendaknya sering melakukan pemeriksaan kehamilan sehingga dapat meningkatkan keyakinan diri dalam berniat untuk menyusui.Keluarga dan orang terdekat hendaknya mendukung ibu hamil dalam berniat untuk menyusui dalam bentuk menceritakan pengalaman-pengalaman orang lain sebelumnya. Exclusive breastfeeding program, which is giving breast milk only from a baby born to the age of 6 months. This program so that babies can grow and develop normally and normally. The target of approving exclusive breastfeeding starting in 2010 is 80% of the total number of babies born, national approval approved by ASI in Indonesia fluctuates and shows a tendency to increase in the last 3 years. The purpose of the study was to prove the intention of the mother, the future conditions of childbirth, and the smoothness of the production of breast milk towards the decision of the mother to care. This research design is a cash control study. Population and study sample of breastfeeding mothers at the Makassar Rappokalling Health Center. Data analysis was carried out by comparing the effect of relationships carried out using the chi square test.

Abstract

Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah adalah bayi yang lahir dengan berat badan kurang dari 2.500 gram tanpa memandang masa kehamilan. Bayi yang berada di bawah persentil 10 dinamakan ringan untuk umur kehamilan. Bahaya BBLR meliputi: Asfiksa, Hipotermi, Ikterus/Hiperbilirubin, Hipoglikemia Berat, Sindrom Aspirasi Mekonium, Infeksi Dugaan sepsis, masalah pemberian minum. Secara statistik menunjukkan 60-80% kejadian BBLR didapatkan di Negara berkembang dan angka kematiannya 20 kali lebih tinggi dibanding pada bayi dengan berat badan lahir lebih dari 2500 gram. Hal ini dapat terjadi dan dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti ibu mempunyai penyakit yang langsung berhubungan dengan kehamilan, dan usia ibu. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui agar dapat melaksanakan asuhan kebidanan pada Bayi Ny ‘’I’’ dengan BBLR di RSKDIA Siti Fatimah Makassar Tahun 2020. Jenis penilitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus manajemen kebidanan yang terdiri dari 7 langkah varney yaitu : pengumpulan data dasar, interpretasi data dasar, diagnose actual, diagnose potensial, tindakan segera, rencana asuhan, pelaksanaan asuhan serta mengevaluasi keberhasilannya. Dari kasus bayi Ny ‘’I’’ yaitu BBLR dan tidak terdapat tanda-tanda pemenuhan nutrisi. Penilitian ini, bidan dapat menerapkan manajemen asuhan kebidanan sesuai dengan prioritas masalah pasien secara menyeluruh sehingga tindakan yang akan dilakukan bidan dapat dipertanggung jawabkan berdasarkan metode ilmiah. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between formal reasoning abilities and student achievement motivation. The method used is a quantitative research method with analysis using product moment correlation, assisted by SPSS version 16. Correlation research is a type of research used to explore the relationship between two or more variables. This study aims to determine whether there is a statistical relationship between these variables and to what extent this relationship is correlated. As for this study, researchers used the help of SPSS version 16 in analyzing the data. The sample selection in this study used a random sampling of 30 students. The independent variables in this study are formal reasoning (X1) and achievement motivation (X2), and the dependent variable is learning achievement (Y). Collecting data on formal reasoning, achievement motivation, and student achievement using a questionnaire The results of this study indicate that formal reasoning and achievement motivation have a strong relationship with student achievement, with each sig. (2-tailed) 0.02 between formal reasoning and learning achievement, so that 0.020.05 is smaller than the r table, which means there is a correlation between formal reasoning and learning achievement. As for learning motivation and learning achievement, the sig. (2-tailed), namely 0.02  0.05, means there is a correlation between learning motivation and learning achievement. From these results, formal reasoning allows individuals to think logically and systematically, while achievement motivation encourages academic success. The two mutually reinforce and enhance each other, creating a productive learning environment and enhancing overall individual achievement.

Abstract

This research objective was aimed to find out the kinds of speech acts and to describe the meaning of speech acts found in the movie script of The Boss Baby: Family Business written by Michael McCullers. To find the aimed objectives, this research then used qualitative descriptive method in analysing the data. The data were obtained by reading, identifying, classifying the words that includes speech acts in character's utterance in the movie script by applying Austin and Searle's theories. The results of the research then reveal that there are three kinds of speech acts were used in the movie script The Boss Baby: Family Business: they are locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary. From the result it is found that each speech act has a different meaning from each category in each kinds of speech act, such as locution (imperative, interrogative, and declarative), illocution (assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declaration), then perlocution (act of convincing, act of scaring, act of insulting, and act of amusing). The locutionary act was the dominating speech act found in the movie script The Boss Baby: Family Business.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of crime, causes of crime, and the effects of crime found in the novel The Hit by David Baldacci which was published in 2013 by Grand Central Publishing in USA by analyzing the actions, conversations, and statements made by the main characters in the novel. The research used qualitative descriptive method through forensic approach. The data were obtained by reading, identifying, and taking notes to classify the kinds, causes, and effects of crime in The Hit novel. The writer used sociology of crime theory by Bonger as main theory and forensic text type theory by John Ollson as supporting theory. The result of this study showed that there are 4 types of crime in The Hit novel, such as personal crime, property crime, organized crime, and white-collar crime. The writer also found 3 causes of crime and 3 effects of crime in the novel. The causes of crime in the novel are social cause, economic cause, and psychological cause. While the effects of crime in the novel are material losses, trauma, and loss of life.

Abstract

This study aimed to discover the types of behavior of The Call of The Wild characters and also what impacts of human behaviour that can affect towards animals in the The Call of The Wild Novel. In this research the descriptive qualitative method are applied through the theory of B. F Skinner. The results of the study showed that there were two types of behavioristic model found the novel The Call of The Wild, namely operant conditioning and classical conditioning so that positive and negative reinforcement processes are formed in The Call of The Wild novel. Besides that, there were each character with a different personality that influences the dog’s behavior that resulting in the impact on the dogs behaviours it was that the dog (Buck as a dog) experienced changes in behavior when faced with different owners or characters and these changes occurred depending on the surrounding environment, therefore the presence of humans behaving badly, kindly, assertively, violently and the treatment received by human that leading to attack, showing aggressive behaviour due to fear or discomfort, exhausted resulting in showing a drastically losing body weight, laziness and disobedient as a negative impact and showing obedient, happy and protective nature as a positive impact

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the types of social deixis used in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie script, and to describe the referential meaning of each type of social deixis used in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie script using descriptive analysis method. The result shows that there are 6 types of social deixis used in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie script, they are person marking, speech levels, formal distinctions, different in names, titles, and kinship designation, linguistic performance that is count as social act and linguistic performance that can accompany the social act. The writer found 982 expressions of social deixis where the most frequently used category is the person marking. Other types that are also found The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie script are speech level formal distinction of utterance different ways which names, titles and kinship relationships designated, social acts and expressions that complete social acts. The referential meaning in this research, were took one examples of each type data of social deixis that has been found in the movie script

Abstract

This study aims to find out the language features and their meaning of Maya Angelou’s selected poems. The study used qualitative descriptive approach by applying the theory of Geoffrey Leech’s in analyzing the level of language. The results show that there were four language levels found in Maya Angelou’s selected poems. The first was phonological level, which divided into alliteration, assonance, consonance, and rhyme scheme. The second was grammatical level which are simple present tense, simple present perfect tense and simple past tense to see the relation between tenses and the meaning of the poem. The third was Lexical level such as nouns, verbs, adjectives and pronouns. The semantically level consisted of figurative language were simile, hyperbole, metaphor, and imagery. For the Phenomenal Woman poem had a message for all women to convey that radiate your own beauty, without see the other woman beauty but self-confident. Our Grandmothers poem reveal that the woman avoided slaved and tell her children the worst that could happen, it was feeling injustice. Mother, a Cradle to Hold Me poem conveyed the mother love and speaker love to his mother and his afraid to lose his mother
