Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus Gestasional (DMG) merupakan suatu gangguan intoleransi glukosa pada masa kehamilan. Terapi farmakologi yang umumnya diberikan yaitu Insulin dan obat hipoglikemik oral seperti metformin. Metformin sering digunakan pada pengobatan DMG saat ini. Metformin dapat melewati barrier plasenta, namun belum ditemukan adanya bukti kecacatan pada janin atau komplikasi pada bayi. Banyak penelitian melakukan uji coba untuk membandingkan efektivitas dan keamaan metformin pada ibu hamil. Tujuan review artikel ini yaitu untuk mengulas beberapa literature terkait efektivitas dan efisiensi penggunaan obat metformin yang dibandingkan dengan insulin pada DMG. Metode yang digunakan yaitu literature review dengan menggunakan data primer berupa artikel ilmiah atau jurnal, dilakukan penelusuran melalui database Google Scholar, Elsevier, atau PubMed dengan rentang tahun terbit 5 tahun terakhir. Hasil dari review artikel ilmiah menunjukan bahwa insulin tidak menjadi pilihan utama pada pengobatan DMG karena dapat menyebabkan peningkatan berat badan sedangkan penggunaan metformin lebih banyak digunakan. Kesimpulan dari review ini menunjukan tidak terdapat perbedaan efektivitas dalam penggunaan terapi insulin dan metformin dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah pasien DMG. Penggunaan metformin lebih efisien karena tidak menimbulkan kenaikan berat badan dan mengurangi risiko makrosomia dan neonatal hipoglikemia.

Abstract

Obesity can cause enlargement and increase in the number of adipose cells in the body as well as a decrease in adiponectin levels. Adiponectin is an anti-inflammatory cytokine. Obesity is also associated with vascular endothelial dysfunction, which is caused by reduced nitric oxide (NO) availability, as a result of increase production of oxidative stress. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of rosella flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn) on adiponectin levels and serum NO levels in animal models of fructose-induced obesity. The research method was using a Post Test Only Control Group Design, using male Wistar rats for 60 days. This study consisted of 6 groups, namely the normal group (normal diet), the induction group (normal diet + fructose 60%), the comparison group (normal diet + fructose 60% + orlistat), and 3 test groups (normal diet + fructose 60% + ethanol extract of rosella flowers 125 mg/ kgBW, 250 mg/kgBW and 500 mg/kgBW). The results show that the ethanol extract of rosella flowers has a reducing effect on body weight and increases serum adiponectin and NO levels. In conclusion, ethanol extract of rosella flowers at a dose of 250 mg/kgBW can increase adiponectin levels and a dose of 500 mg/kgBW is the best dose in improving endothelial dysfunction.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of liquidity, solvency, and operating cash flow on financial distress with the audit committee as a moderating variable. The purposive sampling method was used as a sampling technique with 28 selected companies from all infrastructure companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2020 – 2021. This research uses secondary data obtained by documentation techniques from financial statements, cash flow reports, and company annual reports. The data was processed using panel data regression analysis with the Eviews 12 program. The results of this study indicate that liquidity and operating cash flow have a significant positive effect on financial distress. Meanwhile, solvency does not affect financial distress. Then the audit committee as a moderating variable in this study is unable to moderate the effect of liquidity, operating cash flow, and solvency on financial distress.

Abstract

Pancasila is the view of life of the nation and state which is the basis for the implementation of national life. The precepts in "Pancasila" are the crystallization of the values​​that live in Indonesian society. This is certainly a new thing in the Indonesian legal system which is more inclined towards the civil law system. The omnibus concept is better known in countries with a common law system. However, as stated by Mochtar Kusumaatmadja thatin efforts to develop law there must be alignment between the national legal system and the development of modern law from other countries. This alignment is solely intended so that the law can adapt to the times.The method used in this research is the normative legal method. -Invitation” which accommodates the omnibus method. This method is an effective and efficient effort to overcome regulatory obesity that occurs in Indonesia. However, in its implementation, future improvements are needed to achieve the target to be achieved.

Abstract

The community service activity titled "The Use of Organic Waste Bins to Address Waste in RT 03 RW 17, Cibiru Wetan Village, Cileunyi, Bandung" was carried out as an effort to tackle the issue of organic waste in the area. Poorly managed organic waste has the potential to pollute the environment and disrupt public health. This program aims to raise awareness, knowledge, and the ability of the community to manage organic waste into beneficial compost. The implementation stages include planning, providing facilities in the form of organic waste bins, education, compost-making training, and evaluation. A total of 2 units of organic waste bins have been distributed in strategic locations. The socialization successfully reached representatives of the residents, and the compost-making training involved 30 participants who showed positive results and were able to produce simple compost. The results of the activity indicate an increase in awareness and changes in community behavior regarding waste management. Residents have started to separate organic waste in their homes and utilize compost for small-scale agricultural activities. This program has also successfully reduced the volume of waste sent to landfills. The sustainability of the program requires the formation of community working groups to monitor implementation in the field, provide ongoing education, and collaborate with relevant parties. This program is expected to serve as a model for community-based waste management that can be replicated in other areas. With this activity, the community of Cibiru Wetan Village is expected to create a cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally friendly environment

Abstract

Asupan tinggi fruktosa dapat menyebabkan gangguan metabolisme terhadap timbulnya sindrom metabolik dan diabetes melitus tipe 2. Dalam penelitian ini akan disampaikan beberapa dampak yang di dari konsumsi fruktosa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pemodelan hewan uji dengan pemberian fruktosa 60% terhadap resistensi insulin. Metode penelitian menggunakan 8 ekor tikus putih jantan galur Wistar yang dikelompokkan menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok normal dan kelompok fruktosa 60%. Parameter yang diamati terhadap bobot badan, kadar glukosa darah, Konstanta Tes Toleransi Insulin (KTTI), kadar adiponektin dan kadar TNF-α serta histologi jaringan adiposa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian fruktosa 60% selama 60 hari menunjukan adanya perbedaan untuk kadar glukosa darah yang dumulai pada hari 30-60, Nilai KTTI kelompok fruktosa lebih kecil dibandingkan kelompok normal, kadar adiponektin kelompok fruktosa lebih kecil dibandingkan kelompok normal , sedangkan  kadar TNF-α kelompok fruktosa lebih besar dibandingkan kelompok normal  dan terjadi pembesaran diameter jaringan adiposa putih dan pengecilan adiposa cokelat  pada kelompok fruktosa, namun belum terjadi perbedaan pada bobot badan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian fruktosa 60% selama 60 hari dapat digunakan sebagai pemodelan hewan uji resistensi insulin.

Abstract

Euphorbia heterophylla. Desf (kate mas) menunjukkan aktivitas penurunan glukosa darah, serta memiliki sifat antioksidan dan antiinflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi ekstrak etanol daun Euphorbia heterophylla Desf (EEH) sebagai anti resistensi insulin dalam pengelolaan diabetes mellitus tipe 2 (DMT2). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efek dan dosis efektif Ekstrak Etanol Daun Kate Mas (Euphorbia heterophylla Desf), disingkat EEH, terhadap tikus yang diinduksi makanan tinggi karbohidrat, lemak, dan fruktosa 30%. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara in vivo menggunakan 24 tikus jantan putih galur wistar yang dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol normal, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, EEH 50 mg/KgBB, 100 mg/KgBB, dan 200 mg/Kg BB dengan melakukan tes  kadar glukosa darah (KGD), pengukuran konstanta tes toleransi insulin (KTTI) dan histopatologi sel pankreas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa EEH pada semua kelompok dapat menurunkan KGD (92,25 mg/dL±7,04 untuk 50 mg/KgBB; 99,75 mg/dL±13,57 untuk 100 mg/Kg BB; 117,00 mg/dL ±0,85 untuk 200 mg/Kg BB; dan 89,00 mg/dL ±5,34 untuk metformin) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol negatif (132,00 mg/dL ±7,16). EEH 50 mg/Kg BB secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan sensitivitas insulin (3,95±0,53) dibandingkan dengan kelompok negatif (1,24±0,98). Hasil histologi pankreas menunjukan EEH pada semua kelompok uji dapat menurunkan jumlah nekrosis sel pankreas dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol negatif.  Kesimpulannya, EEH memiliki potensi untuk dieksplorasi lebih lanjut untuk aktivitas dalam meningkatkan sensitivitas insulin.

Abstract

One of the triggers for obesity is high fat and high carbohydrates foods which increase Free Fatty Acid (FFA) and Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), that trigger oxidative stress and chronic inflammation, which play a role in various degenerative diseases. This study aims to determine the potency and effective dose of ethanol extract of roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) and gotu kola leaves (Centella asiatica) combination on oxidative stress (represented by Malondialdehyde or MDA) and its effect on inflammation (represented by Tumor Necrosis Factor-α or TNF-α). This research used in vivo experimental preventive method using 35 mice which were divided into normal group, induction group, comparison group curcumin 1.8 mg/kgBW, test group 1 EDP 200 mg/kgBW, test group 2 EBR 250 mg/kgBW, test group 3 EBRDP 125:200 mg/kgBW and test group 4 EBRDP 250:100 mg/kgBW. MDA levels were measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at 532 nm and TNF-α levels were measured using an ELISA kit on the 60th day. The results showed a decrease in blood MDA levels in EDP 200 mg/kgBW, EBR 250 mg/kgBW and EBRDP 250: 100 mg/kgBW and in liver MDA levels in EDP 200 mg/kgBW and EBRDP 250:100 mg/kgBW. The study also showed decreasing TNF-α levels in EDP 200 mg/kg BW, EBR 250 mg/kgBW, and the combination of EBRDP dose 125:200 mg/kgBW. In conclusion, the combination of EBRDP dose 250:100 mg/kgBW is the most effective dose in reducing MDA levels. The combination of EBRDP dose 125:200 mg/kgBW is the most effective dose in suppressing TNF-α levels.

Abstract

Abstract: Dyslipidemia is characterized by changes in lipid levels in plasma, a common indicator that is prone to the risk of cardiovascular disease. Plants that are suspected to have antidislipidemia activity, one of which is mango leaves. This study aimed to determine the effective dose in a decoction of mango manalagi leaves (Mangifera indica L. var. Manalagi) in decreasing levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, and increasing HDL levels in high-fat feed-induced rats and propylthiouracil for 28 days. This research method was carried out preventively using 30 Wistar strain male rats which were grouped into 6 groups, namely negative control, positive control, comparison control (simvastatin 1.8mg/Kg BW), and a decoction test of manalagi mango leaves at a dose of 200, 400, 800 mg/kg BW. The parameters of the observed lipid profile are determined enzymatically using the micro lab. The results of the study on total cholesterol levels, showed the largest decreasing in the 200mg/kg BW dose group by 31.29%, in triglyceride levels the largest decreasing was found in the 400mg/kg BW dose group by 40.59%, in LDL levels the largest decreasing was found in the 200 mg/kg BW dose group by 48.03%, and in HDL levels there was the largest increasing in dose 800mg /kg BW of 97.40%. This study concludes that manalagi mango leaf decoction can be an antidyslipidemia in decreasing total cholesterol, triglyceride, and LDL levels as well as increasing HDL levels, with an effective dose of 200mg/ kg BW.

Abstract

Abstract: Spare dadap plants contain flavonoids that can potentially lower glucose levels in the blood and reduce glucose absorption in the intestine. The purpose of the study was to determine the inhibitory activity of the α-glucosidase enzyme and the effect of giving Spare Dadap Leaf Ethanol Extract (EEDDS) on blood glucose levels of male white Wistar rats and its effective dose. The research method used the in vitro method with inhibition of α-glucosidase enzyme and the in vivo method Glucose Tolerance Test (TTGO) with amylum manihot induction using 25 rats divided into 5 groups with EEDDS doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg / kg BB, then measured blood glucose levels for 120 minutes. The results of the EEDDS α-glucosidase enzyme inhibition study showed the best % inhibition value of 41.81% at 100 ppm and the lowest % inhibition value at 10 ppm, which was 13.33% with an IC50 value of 146.30 ppm, which was included in the weak category in inhibiting α-glucosidase. The results of TTGO research induced amylum manihot, EEDDS 400 mg / KgBW have a significant effect on reducing blood glucose levels in the T60 to T120 range. The conclusion in this study is that spare dadap leaf ethanol extract has potential as an antihyperglycemic both in vitro and in vivo.
