Abstract

AbstrakResiliensi keluarga sangat dibutuhkan agar keluarga sebagai sistem terkecil dalam masyarakat mampu mengatasi tantangan dalam kehidupannya. Dalam membentuk resiliensi di dalam keluarga melibatkan berbagai faktor. Penelitian ini ingin menguji parenting stress sebagai faktor risiko yang memengaruhi  resiliensi keluarga dan identitas budaya Jawa sebagai faktor protektif yang dapat memengaruhi resiliensi keluarga. Selain itu, pada penelitian ini juga ingin menguji kontribusi identitas budaya Jawa terhadap resiliensi keluarga serta menguji parenting stress terhadap resiliensi keluarga yang dimoderasi identitas budaya Jawa. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah orang tua suku Jawa yang memiliki anak usia 2-18 tahun dan berjumlah 129 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert. Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah parenting stress memiliki hubungan negatif terhadap resiliensi keluarga (t (127) = -7.593, p<0.05), sedangkan identitas budaya memiliki hubungan yang positif terhadap resiliensi keluarga (t(127) =  9.415, p < 0.05). Sementara, hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada interaksi antara parenting stress dengan identitas budaya Jawa terhadap pembentukan resiliensi keluarga (b = 0.0250, t (127) = 1.4206, p>0.05).  Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua suku Jawa tidak cukup hanya mengandalkan identitas budaya saja untuk dapat menghadapi stres dalam pengasuhan, akan tetapi membutuhkan faktor lain untuk mendukung implemetasi identitas budaya tersebut di kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga dapat menjadi pendorong terbentuknya keluarga yang resilien.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic brought a disruption to society. There were a lot of changing plans in every area or life, starting from home-based learning for the students and problems in the economy. These changes, in one way or another, put people in unrealized griefs. Losses of the life that they know and loss of control of unknown things. This psychoeducation was held online to socialize this condition of society, especially to those who were the member of the church as the location of this occasion. Understanding of the current condition was then continued with the discussion about the emotion regulation process that they could do. Each step was discussed and then ended with a relaxation activity in the form of self reflection. This psychoeducation activity was hoped to be used by participants in facing daily struggle with emotions. Questions and answers session was interactively held throughout the presentation and discussion of materials. Participants gave positive feedback from the pooling taken. They stated that the materials are relevant and showed interest to join similar seminars with further topics about emotions .  Keywords—emotion regulation, covid-19, psychoeducation

Abstract

The current condition of the Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on financial, health, education and other aspects makes families need to support each other so that they can develop resilience in the family. The purpose of community service carried out within the scope of Esa Unggul University lecturers is to provide knowledge about building family resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation method is carried out through laptop electronic devices and through the Zoom application with the speaker distributing slides through Zoom and then a discussion is held in the form of questions and answers to increase the participants' understanding. As a result, most of the participants considered this community service activity very important and very beneficial, but a small proportion considered it the opposite. In the future, it is hoped that community service activities will be held with topics related to family resilience but focused on tips or ways that participants can do. In addition, a guidebook can also be made regarding ways to increase family resilience so that it can be used by participants and the wider community. Keywords: family resilience, covid-19 pandemic, challenges

Abstract

The research examined the contribution of parental beliefs and students’ self-regulated learning simultaneously toward students’ reading comprehension of junior high school in Bali. The separate examination has also been carried out namely the contribution of Balinese parental beliefs on students' reading comprehension and the contribution of students’ self-regulated learning on reading comprehension. The sample of this research consisted of 71 junior high school students and Balinese parents living in Kabupaten Karangasem, Bali. This research sample was obtained using the nonprobability sampling method through convenience sampling technique. The research used questionnaires taken from Reading Comprehension Measuring Tools in order to measure students' reading comprehension, The Parental Beliefs Questionnaire to measure parents' beliefs and Motivated Strategies for Learning. The research data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis conducted using SPSS 23 and qualitative analysis. The results showed that parental beliefs and students' self-regulated learning simultaneously influenced students’ reading comprehension in Bali. Students’ self-regulated learning also had a significantly positive effect on reading comprehension. However, Balinese’s parental beliefs did not directly contribute to reading comprehension.

Abstract

Situations that parents handle affect how they parent their children and this will affect howtheir children develop later on. The aim of this research is to analyze how parenting stressaffects other factors in parent’s psychological condition, especially in their self-esteem. Thisresearch was held to parents with middle school children who live in JABODETABEK with241 participants. The scale that was used to measure parenting stress is the one that Berry andJones (1995) developed and to measure self-esteem is The Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventorythat was developed by Ryden (1978). This research used a quantitative descriptive method todescribe parenting stress and self-esteem of participants and used simple regression analysisto measure how parenting stress affects self-esteem of middle school children’s parents. Fromthe statistical analysis it was found that parenting stress contributed negatively (t (241) = -7.330, p <0.005) to self-esteem of parents with middle school age children in JABODETABEK.The higher the parenting stress the lower self-esteem becomes. Parenting stress contributed 18percent to self-esteem that means the remaining 82 percent of a parent's self-esteem wasdetermined by other factors.

Abstract

Sejak 2018, terdapat beberapa kasus bunuh diri dari kalangan mahasiswa di Pulau Sumbawa. Depresi merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi ide bunuh diri. Penelitian ini menguji perbedaan ide bunuh diri berdasarkan pada perbedaan level depresi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan online survei pada mahasiswa S1 (n = 163). Analisis statistik menggunakan Anova One-Way, dan hasilnya mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat 5 level depresi mengacu pada BDI-II, yaitu: Normal, gangguan mood ringan, batas depresi klinis, depresi sedang, dan depresi berat. Uji Anova One-Way menemukan signifikansi perbedaan tingkat ide bunuh diri berdasarkan pada kategori depresi pada mahasiswa. Kategori depresi berat mempunyai kontribusi tertinggi terhadap ide bunuh diri, sedangkan kategori normal mempunyai pengaruh terendah terhadap ide bunuh diri. Bagi psikolog dan psikiater, temuan penelitian berimplikasi agar memberikan intervensi dan treatment yang berbeda untuk mengatasi ide bunuh diri pada mahasiswa berdasarkan pada level depresi.

Abstract

Peran orang tua sangat dibutuhkan dalam perkembangan anak. Untuk dapat mendidik anak secara optimal dibutuhkan sikap dan perilaku dari orang tua berdasarkan pandangannya sendiri sehingga dapat melalui pengasuhan secara sadar dan efektif. Penelitian ini ingin menguji kontribusi mindful parenting terhadap self-esteem orang tua. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah The Self-Esteem Inventory (SEI) yang dikembangkan oleh Coopersmith (1981). Sedangkan alat ukur untuk mengukur Mindful Parenting adalah Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire (MIPQ) yang dikembangkan oleh  McCaffrey, Reitman, dan Black (2017). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner secara langsung (offline) dan online kepada orang tua yang memiliki anak Sekolah Dasar. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode nonprobability sampling secara spesifik digunakan teknik convenience sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier sederhana (simple linier regression) yang diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi  antara mindful parenting terhadap self-esteem orang tua.

Abstract

Pasar merupakan area publik dimana penyebaran Covid-19 lebih banyak ditemukan, tercatat hingga tanggal 9 November 2020 sebanyak 1.568 pedagang pasar tradisional yang positif terpapar Covid-19 dan total kasus yang meninggal dunia sebanyak 65. Pasar Kemiri adalah salah satu pasar di Jakarta yang juga pernah ditutup sementara akibat terdapat pedagang yang terpapar virus Covid 19. Faktor yang mempengaruhi penutupan pasar yaitu kurangnya kesadaran diri (self awareness) dan kedisiplinan pedagang dan pembeli dalam menaati protokol kesehatan di lingkungan pasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesadaran diri (self awareness) dan kedisiplinan menaati protokol kesehatan pada pedagang Pasar Kemiri, Kembangan Utara, Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan teknik incidental sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 63 orang pedagang pasar berdasarkan perhitungan teknik Slovin. Pengukuran menggunakan skala kesadaran diri (self awarness) dengan 32 aitem valid dan koefisien reliabilitas α 0,820 dan skala kedisiplinan dengan 22 aitem valid dan koefisien reliabilitas α 0,763. Hasil perhitungan pearson product moment menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif signifikan (sig 0,001 dan r 0,399) antara kesadaran diri (self awareness) dan kedisiplinan pedagang Pasar Kemiri, Kembangan Utara, Jakarta Barat. Markets are public areas where the spread of Covid-19 is more common, it was recorded that up to November 9 2020 as many as 1,568 traditional market traders were positively exposed to Covid-19 and a total of 65 cases died. Pasar Kemiri is one of the markets in Jakarta that has also been temporarily closed due to traders who were exposed to the Covid 19 virus. Factors influencing market closure were lack of self-awareness and discipline of traders and buyers in adhering to health protocols in the market environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-awareness and discipline in complying with health protocols for traders at Pasar Kemiri, Kembangan Utara, West Jakarta. This research is a correlational study with incidental sampling technique. The number of samples in this study amounted to 63 market traders based on Slovin technique calculations. The measurement using self-awareness scale with 32 valid items and a reliability coefficient of α 0.820 and a disciplinary scale with 22 valid items and a reliability coefficient of α 0.763. The pearson product moment results show that there is a significant positive relationship (sig 0.001 and r 0.399) between self-awareness and the discipline of Pasar Kemiri traders, Kembangan Utara, West Jakarta.

Abstract

The increasing number of violence against children, which in February 2020 was reported to be 2,851, increased to 7,190 cases in December 2020. This shows that the psychological condition of parents can affect their behavior in parenting and greatly affect the development of children. Parents, especially working mothers, have challenges to carry out their role of caring for children while working. This will be a stressor for a mother as a parent who has a major role in raising her child. To reduce the stressful conditions experienced by parents in parenting, it is necessary to have training and awareness from within the parents. Awareness in parents can be trained and understood through parenting that is carried out with full awareness continuously called mindful parenting. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of mindful parenting on parenting stress. The population and sample in this study were parents, especially working mothers, amounting to 113 people. The measuring instrument used to measure mindful parenting is the Mindfulness in Parenting Scale (MIPQ) developed by McCaffrey, Reitman and Black (2017) with a reliability value of 0.865. Meanwhile, the measuring instrument for measuring parenting stress is the Parenting Stress Scale, a measuring instrument developed by Berry and Jones (1995) with a reliability value of 0.87. The research method used is the simple linear regression method, and the analytical test used is SPSS 25. The results showed that there was a significant negative effect between mindful parenting on parenting stress in working mothers.
