Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the implementation main values of Character Education Reinforcement on the elementary schools located in Semarang. The study was conducted by using qualitative approach-based descriptive method with case study design. The data gathering methods that had been implemented were observation, semi-structured interview, and documentation study. Then, the data analysis was performed by means of interactive analysis model. For ensuring the data validity, technique-based and resource-based triangulation were performed. The results of the study showed that the implementation main values of Character Education Reinforcement in elementary school on the values of religion and nationalism have been very good and had also become the elementary schools’ culture. However, the independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity have been good but have not been maximally and routinely implemented by all of the elementary schools’ community members. Despite the fact that these values have been integrated into the learning activities in the classroom, the school environment, and the role of surrounding community. The obstacles that have been found are the limited school facility, the violation toward the school’s regulation, the parental abandonment, and the influence of surrounding community. The solutions for overcoming these obstacles might be that the schools should establish cooperation with the parents through the provision of additional prayer equipment in the classroom, the school should play the national anthems more often prior to the beginning of the teaching-learning process, the school should give penalty to the students who violate the school regulation, the school should give awards to the students for their role-modelling activities, the school should give direction to the students’ parents, and the school should provide role model, habituation, and monitoring on the students’ daily activities through their parents.

Abstract

ABTRACTThe purpose of this study was to describe the understanding of the geometry concept of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Candi 01 after the implementation of a problem based learning model containing ethnomatematics. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The selection of research subjects was selected by purposive sampling technique based on the learning achievement of students, which were classified into three high, medium and low learning achievements. The subject of high learning achievement and being able to restate a concept. The subject is always active in every stage of learning activities. The subject of low learning achievement is less able to express money as a concept. They tend to be less active in the learning process which includes being less active in asking questions if they experience difficulties and in group discussions they still depend on friends and teacher guidance. All three subjects were able to use and utilize and select procedures to solve the perimeter and area of squares, rectangles and triangles, but experienced errors in determining the area and perimeter formulas for squares and rectangles. The subject of high learning achievement is the only subject that is able to apply the concept in problem solving. The subject uses the plan he devised to solve the problem and then communicates his conclusion correctly.Keywords: Ethnomatematics, Problem Based Learning, Understanding of Geometry Concepts ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep geometri peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Candi 01 setelah implementasi model problem based learning bermuatan etnomatematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pemilihan subyek penelitian dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan prestasi belajar peserta didik, yang digolongkan menjadi tiga prestasi belajar tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Subjek prestasi belajar tinggi dan sedang mampu dalam menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep. Subjek selalu aktif dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan pembelajaran. Subjek prestasi belajar rendah kurang mampu dalam menyatakan uang sebuah konsep. Mereka cenderung kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran yang meliputi kurang aktif dalam bertanya jika mengalami kesulitan dan dalam diskusi kelompok masih bergantung pada teman dan bimbingan guru. Ketiga subjek mampu menggunakan dan memanfaatkan serta memilih prosedur untuk menyelesaikan keliling dan luas persegi, persegi panjang dan segitiga, tetapi mengalami kesalahan dalam menentukan rumus luas dan keliling persegi dan persegi panjang. Subjek prestasi belajar tinggi merupakan satu-satunya subjek yang mampu mengaplikasikan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah.  Subjek menggunakan rencana yang dibuat untuk menyelesaikan masalah, lalu mengkomunikasikan kesimpulannya dengan benar.Kata kunci: Etnomatematika, Pemahaman Konsep Geometri, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji secara spesifik tentang implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter(PPK) berbasis masyarakat pada SD di Kota Semarang. Penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptifpendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian inimenggunakan metode checklist, observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis datadilakukan dengan model analisis interaktif. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasiteknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implemntasi PPK berbasis masyarakat melaluipemanfaatan sumber pembelajaran yang terdapat pada lingkungan sekitar dengan bekerjasama ataukolaborasi dengan masyarakat melalui kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis cagar budaya, musium, dan sanggarseni seperti Kota Lama Semarang, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah, taman budaya Raden Saleh, LawangSewu, dan musium Ronggowasito, kerjasama dengan seniman dan budayawan sekitar dalam latihanekstrakulikuler seni tari dan lukis; kelas inspirasi dengan mendatangkan narasumber tokoh profesionalseperti dokter, tentara, polisi untuk mengisi kegiatan pembelajaran dalam ruang kelas dan di luar ruangkelas; gerakan literasi berkolaborasi dengan, PERPUSDA, percetakan, toko buku; kerjasama dengan PTNdan PTS meliputi riset pembelajaran, pengembangan inovasi pembelajaran, evaluasi menejemen sekolah;kerjasama sekolah dan komunitas keagamaan berupa rebana dan BTQ.

Abstract

Gerakan literasi sekolah merupakan program pemerintah yang sedang gencar di terapkan. Gerakan tersebut dilaksanakan melalui Budaya literasi. Adanya budaya literasi sangat membantu para siswa dalam mempengaruhi keterampilan 4C pada diri siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis budaya literasi pada keterampilan 4C siswa. Metode yang digunakan penelitian yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik di mana melalui proses pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data/ kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan budaya literasi yang sudah berjalan berlangsung sangat efektif budaya literasi membuat para siswa mempunyai keterampilan 4C (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, dan Creativity and Innovation) yang baik.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui media pembelajaran matematika pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di sekolah dasar, khususnya di Cipondoh, Kota Tangerang.  Subjek penelitian yaitu Sekolah Dasar di daerah Cipondoh, Kota Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan penelitian yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) pembelajaran matematika saat covid-19 ini dilakukan dengan blended learning menggunakan media teknologi berupa handphone atau laptop, 2) selama pembelajaran berlangsung siswa diberikan materi, menyimak video pembelajaran, dan hasil belajar

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji secara spesifik tentang implementasi PPK berbasis budaya sekolah pada SD di Kota Semarang. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif desain penelitian studi kasus, sumber data dilakukan secara purposive sampling, pengumpulan data menggunakan checklist, observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Pengujian data mengunakan trianggulasi teknik dan sumber. Teknik analisis data kualitatif model Milles and Huberman. Implementasi berbasis budaya sekolah dalam mengembangkan tradisi – tradisi unggulan PPK di sekolah telah baik, mengapresiasi kearifan lokal dan menumbuhkan keterampilan abad 21 sudah berjalan dengan sangat baik. Namun, ada sekolah yang belum maksimal menerapkan bimbingan konseling. Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan PPK berbasis budaya sekolah meliputi menyusun jadwal harian/mingguan, mendesain kurikulum 2013, evaluasi peraturan sekolah, pengembangan tradisi sekolah, pengembangan kegiatan kokurikuler, ekstrakurikuler.

Abstract

There is a lot of news in the mass media about deviant behavior among students, including acts of bullying, physical violence, discriminating against friends, and so on. At SD FULLDAY DAQU SCHOOL, the school has tried to counteract these things by internalizing the character values of mutual cooperation in the school environment and in learning. This study aims to analyze the application of mutual cooperation character values that are internalized into civics education learning. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were headmaster, teachers and students of low class I, II, III. This study uses interviews, observation, and documentation in data collection. The analysis technique uses triangulation of data sources. The results showed that students were trained to give alms and pray for each other which were contained in the daqu method, cooperation, respect, and solidarity. In practice, teachers use ICT, PBL, cooperative, and contextual learning models. The learning methods used are lectures, demonstrations, singing, discussions, and class outings as well as the learning strategies used are contextual, inquiry and expository.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the character of caring for the environment can be integrated into the Adiwiyata school program at SDN Cipondoh 5. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, a case study type. Data collection uses observation; interviews with informant sources, the school principal, 2 teachers, 2 people in charge of the Adiwiyata program, and 5 students; and documentation studies. The data validity techniques used by researchers are technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it shows that the Adiwiyata school program can grow and improve the environmentally caring character of students at SDN Cipondoh 5 as they get used to it at school. Integration is carried out through the curriculum, development of environment-based learning tools, activities to bring your own food and drinking bottles, training to make biopore holes, clean Friday activities. The integration carried out by the school also collaborates with the school community, student parents, health centers and other related agencies. The obstacles faced are related to the lack of coordination between teachers and inadequate land in optimizing the adiwiata program. The implications are for schools in overcoming obstacles through integrating the Adiwiyata program in collaboration with environmental agencies so that they can regain the national level Adiwiyata school certificate award

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the communication challenges faced by fifth grade students in elementary schools through a case study approach. The research method used is qualitative with a focus on case studies. Data collection was carried out through observing the student counseling process, interviews with 5th grade elementary school teachers, and documenting the results of individual counseling assessments. Research subjects were selected using a purposive sampling method. Data validation uses triangulation of sources and techniques. Data analysis is carried out through interactive analysis which includes data collection, reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The research results show that individual student counseling is carried out through an initial stage which includes relationship building and counseling principles, a core stage which includes problem exploration and reassessment, and a final stage which includes action planning and evaluation of the counseling process and results. Students experience gradual changes in communication skills, so they can interact with other students better and more confidently. The counseling approach applied by teachers has a key role in helping students overcome barriers to communication. The implication is that teachers can develop better communication skills and increase students' self-confidence in interacting in the school environment and outside the classroom.
