The Guilded product will sunset at the end of 2025.

Hi Creators,

Today we’re announcing that the Guilded product will sunset at the end of 2025. Our goal is to help creators build a community with users of all ages in a safe and civil way. Since Guilded is only for ages 13 and up, we are focused on improving Roblox Communities (formerly known as Roblox Groups), rather than investing in two separate products. This means we’ll be making it easier than ever for creators to engage with their entire user community in a single destination directly inside Roblox.

Roblox Communities already serve as a hub for creators and users to interact. We’re committed to making that interaction feel even more natural by giving creators new tools that are seamlessly integrated across Roblox, Creator Hub, and Roblox Studio. This will create a richer experience for all, right where we’re already building and playing.

We also plan to build:

  • More engagement-building and user feedback tools within Communities (e.g. polls, upvoting, leaderboards),
  • Deeper in-experience integrations connecting gameplay with community participation (e.g. Join Community API and Forum API),
  • Automated moderation tools that enable safe yet expressive communication.

While Guilded can continue to be used for the remainder of the year, we encourage you to continue building your community within Roblox. We remain committed to supporting Announcements and intend to make them available directly within Roblox Communities. Stay tuned for more updates on this in the coming weeks.

Let us know if you have any questions and what new features you’d like to see. We’ll keep sharing roadmap updates as they become available.

Thank you.

I never really used Guilded, but IIRC it was similar to Discord, no? Will there be a chat room feature added to Communities similar to channels in Discord?

What even was the point in buying it then?

This is, unfortunately for those involved, a great change. Guilded was slow and took literal minutes to open. And seeing you focus all of your effort towards on-site communities is thrilling! Communities are already better for connecting with the community than the old inbox system.

Can’t wait to see what’s next for communities.

Farewell Guilded, just wondering if roblox has any plans with partnering with any other messaging websites after the sunset of their most notorious messaging software

Great job Roblox..

  • *Announces ending support*

Granted nobody used it in the first place, but wow what a waste of money and resources :skull:

I understand the reasoning but can we please transition towards discord for CFP?

I love the transparency through guilded and how easy it was to do things through it.
As useful as the devforum is, I think something like guilded was really useful in regards to getting notified with different 1:1 and betas as well as communicating with staff.

WOW! You guys really have made the WORST possible decision ever.

  • Purchases Guilded in 2021 as the result of market interest
  • Decides to compete with Discord
  • Forces everyone to migrate their accounts to Roblox-only, leading most people to leave Guilded
  • Partners(???) with discord in 2024 for The Hunt event
  • Pushes foward with the introduction of the account connection on Discord
  • Shutsdown Guilded

NOOOOOOOO

RIP Guilded, my 2nd favorite messaging app

I do hope that the new CFP server allows us to continue having an open dialogue rather than a strictly forum based layout

it gets worse when they partnered with Discord

It’s what big companies do nowadays, buy a smaller company, extract what they need from it, then kill it.

i previously used Guilded in early 2023, and had the opportunity to get Gil bundle

and im assuming legacy UGC creators wont be moved to the new programs communication server, while i understand why this would happen it would be a shame if the people who were the most active in the programs chat were left behind.

who even used guilded as their main app bro, just use discord
plus, what was the point of getting guilded if you’re just discontinuing it, waste of money
you could’ve integrated the features without even needing to buy it
