pretty sure your notification settings on the announcements/(and or)updates category were set to “Watching”, you should be able to change it back in the top right corner while in a category page

Hey, you are “Watching” the Announcements category. This is not something enabled by default, maybe you accidentally enabled it recently.

You can manage these settings here: Developer Forum | Roblox

You can also manage it by going to a specific category page and using this widget:

Closing this out as this is intended behavior. If you find repro steps for it turning on without your consent please post a bug report with precise repro steps to achieve that case.
