Hello,

The article on “Airtable automation action: Send MS Teams message” has options mentioned in it that I don’t see on my airtable (we have enterprise), specifically the “Dynamically messaging channels and users” section. Are these upcoming changes? I would love to see these implemented, especially being able to tag people in teams messages or sending messages straight to users.

Let me know.

Thanks!

That article says that you can dynamically message users but you can’t dynamically message a channel.

You might be able to solve your dilemma of dynamically messaging a channel by creating conditional groups in your automation — each conditional group could message a different channel.

Otherwise, if you would like significantly more advanced Microsoft Teams automations — including the ability to dynamically message a channel — you can use Make’s Microsoft Teams integrations in conjunction with Make’s Airtable integrations.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

Hope this helps!

@ScottWorld Do you see this on your MS Team Send Message Automation configuration, because I do not?

I don’t have a Teams account to test with… I was just clarifying what the support article was saying.

If you don’t have the option to dynamically message a user, than I would probably open a support ticket with support@airtable.com and point them to that support article as well.

Although honestly, I would not depend on Airtable’s automations for integrations with external apps. I always use Make for all of my external integrations, because you get so much more power and flexibility… and so many more features as well.
