Among these, the most represented were bed and breakfast locations, followed by hotels and vacation homes. The city recorded around **** million tourist overnight stays from abroad in 2024, which was an increase compared to the year before. In addition to a thriving accommodation industry and lots of famous history, Berlin offers a lot of opportunities to enjoy nature in or not far from the city. The German capital also houses one of the most famous attractions in Europe and the world - the Berlin Wall.

Berlin booming

Berlin is one of the three German city-states, alongside Hamburg and Bremen. This means that in addition to being metropolitan areas, all three also have federal state status.
