In Portugal, the share of Portuguese music broadcast on the private radio stations Rádio Comercial, RFM, and Rádio Renancença (RR) has fluctuated in 2024. RR was the station with the highest share of Portuguese music aired, namely 34.4 percent in the first half of 2024, while Rádio Comercial stayed at the mark of 32 percent. During the following semester, RFM complied to the mandatory minimum quota, as 30.8 percent of the music aired was Portuguese.
