During 2024, seven technology startups in Israel received 'unicorn' status as part of funding deals that valued them at over 1 billion U.S. dollars. This represented an increase of three companies from the previous year and an easing of a downward trend since 2021. The slowdown in unicorn creation can be attributed to an overall cooling of the Israeli startup market, as well as a global slowdown in the tech sector.
