According to a survey carried out in 2023, almost 23 percent of people reported having a healthcare need in Mexico during that year. By that same period, roughly 90 percent of people in need of medical services sought health care, while 89 percent of those who searched for these services received medical care, and 46 percent of those who received medical care made use of public health institutions.
