Be very clear and upfront if you think a deadline may be in jeopardy. Maintain consistency in communication. Do not be scared to let someone know if their actions are directly affect the timeline downstream.

When working with tight deadlines and client expectations in AR app development, clear communication is key. From my experience in IT project management, I’ve learned that breaking the project into manageable steps and keeping the client updated at every stage helps keep things on track. It's important to be honest about potential challenges - like technical limitations or integration hurdles - so the client knows what to expect. I also try to offer realistic solutions, whether that’s prioritizing core features or releasing a Minimum Viable Product first. At the end of the day, educating the client and making decisions based on real data helps ensure we're all on the same page and set up for success.

To manage unrealistic client expectations under tight AR app deadlines: 1. Set Boundaries – Define what’s feasible and suggest phased delivery. 2. Educate – Explain technical limits clearly. 3. Prioritize – Focus on core features first. 4. Offer Solutions – Suggest alternatives, not just rejections. 5. Communicate – Keep updates transparent. 6. Document – Record agreements to avoid misunderstandings. Clear expectations and transparency ensure quality results and a strong client relationship.

One thing I’ve found helpful is setting milestones based on the MoSCoW approach—prioritizing features into Must-Have, Should-Have, Could-Have, and Won’t-Have categories. This ensures that the fundamental aspects are built within the given time and budget, while leaving room for enhancements in the next phase. I also make it a point to show 3D assets to the client early and get approvals as much as possible to prevent last-minute revisions. Additionally, I analyze potential risks, predict efficiency, and give a heads-up on challenges like tracking accuracy, latency issues, and stability. This way, we can optimize output within the defined timeline while planning for future improvements.

Set Clear Expectations: Discuss and agree on what the project will include and set realistic timelines from the start. Break into Phases: Start with a simple version to get early feedback. Transparent Communication: Keep the client updated regularly and make sure they understand what can and can’t be done within the timeframe. Prioritise Features: Focus on the most important parts first and leave less critical features for later. Risk Management: Anticipate challenges and plan extra time for unexpected issues. Educate the Client: Explain the challenges involved as early as possible. Leverage Teamwork: Work together efficiently and consider outsourcing specific tasks to specialists when necessary.
