Dr. Ir. Hary L. Razafindralambo is currently Head of the e-Lab (ProBioLab) of Multidisciplinary Science and Technology and Principal Investigator of international research projects at the University of Liège, Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, Belgium. He also serves as a Visiting Professor at An Giang University, Vietnam. He received his Ph.D. in Agronomic Sciences and Biological Engineering in 1996 and earned degrees in Chemistry and Agro-industry Engineering in 1990 from Gembloux Agricultural University. His research and teaching expertise lie in the physical chemistry and functional properties of bioactive molecules & particles, with a particular focus on colloid and interface sciences, synergism, and interactions among functional biotic systems, including probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, and synbiotics. His research activity also includes formulation engineering for food and nonfood products. He supervises master’s and doctoral students, as well as international postdoctoral visiting researchers, in these fields. He has recently served as editor of the books Trends in Probiotic Applications and Bacillus subtilis: Functionalities and One Health Applications (IntechOpen), and as Guest Editor of the Special Issues Probiotics and Their Metabolites and Role of Probiotics in Human Health for Biomolecules. He is also the founder of the journal Current Probiotics, later continued as the Journal of Human Nutrition and Probiotics.
