Learn about plein air at Chester gallery

CHESTER - Boston artist Dianne Panarelli Miller, an award- winning, plein air painter, will give a talk and demonstration on plein air painting, Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Maple and Main Gallery.

Miller is a signature member of the New England Plein Air Painters and a "Copley Master." She combines the classic atelier training of the "Boston School," which seeks to combine the truth of impressionist color with technically sound drawing, composition and paint handling. The cost is $10, and registration is not required.

Tonight from 5-8, the gallery hosts a reception for the artists in the Summer Exhibition, which features all new paintings and sculpture in a wide array of styles. …
