When I open Notepad on Windows 11, there is an icon for Microsoft's Copilot AI in the top right corner. How do I remove it?

7I really like those questions how to disable a "great new feature"... I often feel the same.mpy– mpy2025-10-21 19:45:17 +00:00Commented yesterday

1That's it, I've forced my wife onto Linux. Far too much time spent working around and disabling irritating new features on win11. Just use a quieter OS and be done with it.Neil_UK– Neil_UK2025-10-22 13:33:03 +00:00Commented 10 hours ago

Click the Settings gear in the top right corner of Notepad, then scroll to the bottom and switch Copilot to Off.
