An apparatus (5) comprising a first layer (20) comprising a colourimetric indicator; and a second layer (30) provided on at least a portion of the first layer (20), the second layer (30) comprising or consisting of a protective material, wherein the protective material is transparent or substantially transparent to UV radiation, and wherein the protective material comprises or consists of a glass material or a polymeric material.
