UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES R. DE BEVOISE, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,100, dated July 26, 1898.
Application filed June 29, 1898. Serial No. 684,758- Term of patent '7 years.
To (all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that LGHARLES R.DE BEVOISE, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, (F1ushing,) in the county of Queens and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Shirt- Waist, of which the following is a specification.
This design relates to an underwaist having a corded strip provided with eyes or perforations.
The design is illustrated in the annexed drawings, in which Figure 1 is a plan or face view of the underwaist. Fig. 2 is a section along a: 00, Fig. 1.
The waist 1 is shown with the upper edge 2 and lower edge 3, the armholes being shown at 4. Extending downward from upper portion of the garment are strips, each comprising the outer flat or plain portions 5 and the central or corded portion 6. This corded portion gives the appearance of a rib or iiuting. The strip 5 6 is provided at its lower portion with eyes orperforations 7. These eyes or eyelets 7 are shown at the outer or plain portions 5 of the strip.
The underwaist having the ribbed perforated strip aifords a striking, ornamental, and characteristic appearance.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
