For example, a soccer practice generally requires multiple soccer balls, cones or other boundary/goal marking devices, pinneys, water, and other items to be carried to the practice site. These manners of facilitating a practice is generally inefficient and time consuming.
  • Accordingly, there is a need in the art for a coaching bag that organizes and retains all the items needed to run a practice in a manner that can be easily carried by one person.
  • SUMMARY
  • The present disclosure is directed to a coaching bag.
  • According to an aspect is a coaching bag, comprising an interior space defined by a bag body that is adapted to be selectively open and closed; at least one divider positioned within the interior space that divides the interior space into at least two areas into each of which at least one ball can be contained; a two-piece strap attached to the bag body that includes a closure buckle that permits the two pieces to be connected and disconnected from one another, the two-piece strap adapted to retain a plurality of cones; a hand carrying strap attached to the bag body; a shoulder carrying strap attached to the bag body; a plurality of pockets attached to the bag body; and a tripod retaining strap assembly attached to the bag body.
  • According to an embodiment, the coaching bag further comprises a water bottle holding sleeve attached to the bag body.
  • According to an embodiment, the coaching bag further comprises a set of cones that are selectively removably coupled to the two-piece strap.
  • According to an embodiment, each of the at least two areas defined by the dividers are sized and shaped to retain a plurality of soccer balls in a stacked relation to one another.
  • According to an embodiment, the tripod retaining strap assembly comprises at least two straps positioned in vertically spaced relation to one another.
  • These and other aspects of the invention will be apparent from the embodiments described below.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The present invention will be more fully understood and appreciated by reading the following Detailed Description in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a coaching bag, in accordance with an embodiment.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a coaching bag, in accordance with an embodiment.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a coaching bag, in accordance with an embodiment.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a coaching bag, in accordance with an embodiment.
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a coaching bag in its open condition, in accordance with an embodiment.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
  • The present disclosure describes a coaching bag, designated generally by reference numeral 10.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1-5 , in one embodiment, is coaching bag 10 comprising a bag body 12 having an open interior defined by front and rear sides 14, 16, side ends 18, 20, a bottom 22, and a top 24 that includes a zipper 26 to place the bag into open (see FIG. 5 ) or closed conditions. The open interior is separated into (two or more) compartments 28 by dividers 30 (there can be as few as one divider, or as many as desired), wherein each compartment is sized and shaped to receive a plurality of soccer balls 32 (or basketballs, volleyballs, etc) in stacked relation to one another. Bag 10 includes several variously sized, zippered and open pockets 34 attached to its side 14 to hold various items (e.g., cleats, sneakers, towels, etc.), a water bottle sleeve 36 attached to end 20 for holding a water bottle 38, and a tripod retaining assembly 40 consisting of two vertically spaced apart straps 42, 44, attached to end 18 for retaining a tripod 46. A pair of hand carrying straps 48 and a shoulder carrying strap 50 are attached to top 24 to allow the bag 10 to be carried by hand or over the shoulder. Finally, a two piece strap 52 with a buckle 54 is provided and attached to side 16 and passes through and permits cones 56 to be tethered to bag 10; releasing the two straps allows cones 54 to be removed from bag 10.
  • The bag 10 is preferably composed of ballistic nylon or other durable, flexible material, and preferably a material that is water-proof or water-resistant.
  • While various embodiments have been described and illustrated herein, those of ordinary skill in the art will readily envision a variety of other means and/or structures for performing the function and/or obtaining the results and/or one or more of the advantages described herein, and each of such variations and/or modifications is deemed to be within the scope of the embodiments described herein.
