Abstract

An apparatus, method and assembly for storage and display of a handbag that includes at least one bracket, at least one support rod and at least one head adapter for holding the handle or strap of a handbag. The apparatus, method and assembly provides for an aesthetically-pleasing design for displaying high-end handbags, that prevents wear and tear on the handbag and more, specifically, prevents wear and tear on the handle or strap of a handbag.

Description

PRIORITY

The present application is a continuation of, and claims priority benefit of, PCT/US2017/046150, filed Aug. 9, 2017, which claims the benefit of and priority to U.S. Provisional Application 62/373,844, filed Aug. 11, 2016. The entirety of each of the foregoing applications are hereby incorporated herein by reference.

BACKGROUND

This invention relates to an apparatus, method and system for storing and displaying handbags. In particular, the present invention serves several purposes including but not limited to a need to provide a system for displaying high-end handbags in a manner that the display system provides a sleek and aesthetically-pleasing design that complements and enhances the quality of the displayed handbags. Additionally, the present invention provides a storage and display system that preserves the integrity of the handbag and more particularly, the handle of the handbag, which can become damaged when not hung and stored properly.
It is known in the art that there are various methods for storing and display of clothing, personal accessories (for example, jewelry and scarves) and handbags that are designed for various purposes. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 3,160,279 (A. T. Hovey) shows a rack hanging device for garments used for transportation and shipment. Also, U.S. Pat. No. 3,638,890(Burrell et. al) shows a handbag hanger that is also designed to hang complimentary wearing apparel (for example, a scarf). Additionally, U.S. Pat. No. 3,235,218 (H. E. Graham) shows an article display board or panel for displaying merchandise. Further, U.S. Published Application 2014/0263116 (Wojciechowski) shows an organizer for storing and displaying jewelry and accessories. Also, U.S. Pat. No. 8,128,043 (Walter) shows a hanging device for displaying merchandise. Lastly, Design Pat. No. D748,458 (Zech) shows a handbag holder.
While each of these inventions describe a method, apparatus or system of storing and displaying clothing, personal accessories or handbags, none of them provide an apparatus, method or system of storing and displaying that provides for various designs of handbags with various handle sizes and shapes to be stored and displayed, in a manner that protects the integrity of the handbag handle while also providing a storage and display system that is aesthetically and functionally designed in a manner to enhance and complement the high quality of the high-end handbag.
There exists a need for an apparatus, method and assembly for storing and displaying high-end handbags that provides the previously stated attributes.

SUMMARY

In one aspect, the present invention provides a storage and display system for high-end handbags.
In another aspect, the present invention provides a storage and display system for handbags that preserves the integrity (prevents damage) of the handle of a handbag.
In yet another aspect, the present invention provides a storage and display system for handbags that is aesthetically and functionally designed in a manner to enhance and complement the high quality of the high-end handbag.
In yet another aspect, the present invention provides a storage and display system for handbags that provides multiple supports and head adapters to accommodate a variety of shapes and sizes of handbags, simultaneously.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate an assembly 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 10 generally includes at least one bracket portion 12 that removably engages at least one head adapter 14, via at least one removably engagable support rod 16 (not shown in FIG. 1), said assembly 10 being removably affixable to a wall 18 (not shown in FIG. 1) and said assembly 10 providing for the display and storage of at least one handbag 20.
FIGS. 3 and 4A-4B illustrate an assembly 10 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 10 generally includes at least one bracket portion 12 that removably engages at least one head adapter 14, via at least one removably engagable support rod 16 (not shown in FIG. 3, but shown in FIG. 4A), said support rod 16 having an attachment portion 16 a (not shown in FIG. 3, but shown in FIG. 4A), said assembly 10 being removably affixable to a wall 18 (not shown in FIG. 3) via at least one wall anchor 22 (not shown in FIG. 3) and said assembly 10 providing for the display and storage of at least one handbag 20. This embodiment also includes, but is not limited to, the use of security or anti-theft devices 24. In FIG. 4B, the bracket 12 a shows a top view of a free-standing bracket system, which is also contemplated within the present invention.
FIG. 5 illustrates an assembly 10 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 10 generally includes at least one bracket portion 12 that removably engages at least one head adapter 14, via at least one removably engagable support rod 16 said assembly 10 being removably affixable to a wall 18. This embodiment further illustrates at least one positioning notch 16 b to position and removably engage at least one head adapter 14 in a desired position on a support rod 16.
FIGS. 6A and 6B illustrate an expanded view of a portion of the assembly 10 according to the embodiment of the present invention as shown in FIG. 5. The assembly 10 generally includes at least one bracket portion 12 that removably engages at least one head adapter 14, via at least one removably engagable support rod 16 said assembly 10 being removably affixable to a wall (not shown in FIGS. 6A and 6B). This embodiment further illustrates at least one positioning notch 16 b to position and removably engage at least one head adapter 14 within a port portion 14 a of said head adapter 14, fitted to receive said support rod 16. In the present embodiment, said head adapter 15 further comprises a fastening portion 14 b, to removable secure said head adapter 14 to said support rod 16 at said positioning notch 16 b. FIG. 6A illustrates the assembly 10 in an unfitted support rod 16 position and FIG. 6B illustrates the assembly 10 in a substantially partially fitted support rod 16 position.
FIG. 7 illustrates an expanded view of a portion of the assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and, for example, as shown in FIG. 4A, and more specifically, FIG. 7 illustrates an expanded side view of a bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention. The bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention includes, but is not limited to, a receiving hole 12 c that is fitted to receive a support rod 16 (and more specifically, an attachment portion (not shown here) of said support rod 16). The bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention includes, but is not limited to, a hidden bracket surface fastening portion 12 d.
FIG. 8 illustrates an expanded view of a portion of the assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and, for example, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 7, and more specifically, FIG. 8 illustrates an expanded rear view of a bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention. The bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention includes, but is not limited to, a rear view of a hidden bracket surface fastening portion 12 d (not shown), that further comprises fastening holes 12 e that removably engage both the bracket portion 12 and a wall 18 (not shown here).
FIG. 9 illustrates an expanded view of a portion of the assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and, for example, as shown in FIGS. 4, 7 and 8 and more specifically, FIG. 9 illustrates an expanded side view and expanded isometric view of a bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention. The bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention includes, but is not limited to, a receiving hole 12 c that is fitted to receive a support rod 16 (and more specifically, an attachment portion (not shown here) of said support rod 16). The bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention includes, but is not limited to, a hidden bracket surface fastening portion 12 d, fastening holes 12 e that removably engage both the bracket portion 12 and a wall 18 (not shown here), via a wall anchor or screw 22.
FIGS. 10A and 10B illustrate an expanded view of a portion of the assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and, for example, as shown in FIGS. 4, 8 and 9 and more specifically, FIGS. 10A and 10B illustrate an expanded top view and expanded isometric view of a bracket portion 12 of at least one embodiment of the present invention. The bracket portion 12 of the present embodiment includes, but is not limited to, at least one receiving channel 12 f, for receiving a support rod 16 (not shown—and more specifically, an attachment portion (not shown here) of said support rod 16) at a receiving hole 12 c.
FIG. 11 illustrates a front view of an assembly 10 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 10 generally includes at least one horizontal bracket portion 12 that removably engages at least two vertical bracket portions 12, said bracket portions 12 being removably affixable to one another via at least one fastening hole 12 e. It is further contemplated in at least one embodiment of the present invention that the assembly is removably affixable to a wall 18 (not shown in FIG. 11). In at least one embodiment of the present embodiment, it is contemplated and preferred that said holes (12 e and/or 12 c) are hidden within the design of the assembly 10, and not visible, once the assembly is assembled and installed.
FIGS. 12A, 12B and 12C illustrate a front view, side view and rear view, respectively, of an assembly 10 according to another embodiment of the present invention, and more specifically, FIGS. 12A-12C illustrate the vertical bracket portions 12 of the embodiment as shown in FIG. 11.
In this embodiment of the assembly 10 of the present invention, the bracket portions 12 are shown unassembled, having a top portion 12 and a bottom portion 12, each having a fastening hole 12 e, and which are removably affixable at said receiving holes 12 c and thereafter, removably affixable to a wall 18 (not shown in FIGS. 12A-12C) at at least one fastening hole 12 e via wall anchor or screw 22 (not shown in FIGS. 12A-12C).
FIGS. 13A and 13B illustrate a partial front view and cross sectional view of at least one embodiment of the present invention 10. FIG. 13A illustrates a partial front view of at least one embodiment of the present invention 10 and more specifically, a vertical bracket 12, a horizontal bracket 12 and a wall 18, to which the present invention 10 is mounted. FIG. 13B illustrates a cross sectional view of at least one embodiment of the present invention 10 and, more specifically, illustrates a cross sectional view of the present invention 10 as shown in FIG. 13A. FIGS. 14A, 14B, 14C AND 14D illustrate multiple isometric views of at least one embodiment of an assembly 10 as contemplated in the present invention. FIG. 14A illustrates an isometric view of a top portion 12 of a bracket 12 of the present invention. FIG. 14B illustrates an exploded side view of a full assembly 10 as contemplated in the present invention 10, including but not limited to a vertical bracket 12, including a top portion 12 and a bottom portion 12, removably affixable at a fastening hole 12 e via a fastener 22. FIG. 14B further illustrates a horizontal bracket 12 that is removably affixable to the assembled vertical bracket portion 12 and the assembly 10 in its entirety is may be removably affixed to a wall (not shown) via wall anchors/fasteners 22. FIG. 14C illustrates a partial isometric view of a horizontal bracket 12 removable affixable (in part) to a bottom portion of a vertical bracket 12, wherein the horizontal bracket 12 engages the vertical bracket 12 (top and bottom portions 12) at a grooved interface 12 f, as shown. FIG. 14D illustrates a partial rear isometric view of a fully assembled assembly 10 as contemplated within the present invention 10, including but not limited to, at least one vertical bracket 12, having a top portion 12 and a bottom portion 12 that are removably affixed via a fastening hole 12 e and a held together via a fastener 22, a horizontal bracket 12 being removably affixable to an assembled vertical bracket 12 (as shown), at the grooved interfaces 12 f of said horizontal bracket 12. FIGS. 15A, 15B and 15C illustrate various views (cross sectional, isometric and exploded views, respectively) of at least one embodiment of a support rod assembly 16 as contemplated in the assembly 10 of the present invention 10. The support rod assembly 16 as shown herein includes, but is not limited to, a support rod 16 having a substantially open end 16 c and a partially open end 16 d, which are on opposite ends of said support rod 16, as shown. The substantially open end 16 c of said support rod 16 removable engages a head adapter 14 (not shown in FIGS. 15A-15C), that ultimately supports a handbag 20 (not shown in FIGS. 15A-15C). The partially open end 16 d of said support rod 16 removably engages an attachment portion 16 a at a fastening hole 16 e, as shown. Said attachment portion 16 is designed to snugly engage said support rod 16 and said support rod 16 at said partially open end 16 d has a threaded opening to receive a fastener 22, that removably affixes said support rod 16 to said attachment portion 16 a. Said attachment portion 16 a, in at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, additionally has at least two receiving holes 16 e that are oriented symmetrically to one another, which receive a fastener 22. Said symmetrical receiving holes 16 e are positioned at the receiving hole 12 c (not shown here, but example found in FIG. 16) of a bracket 12 (not shown here, but example found in FIG. 16), and thereafter, a fastener 22 is inserted through said symmetrical receiving holes 16 e to removably secure said attachment portion 16 a and support rod 16 to a bracket 12 (not shown here, but example found in FIG. 16). See also FIG. 42 for additional detailed illustration of an attachment portion 16 a as contemplated within the scope of the present invention 10. See also FIG. 43 for additional detailed illustration of a fastener 22 for use with an attachment portion 16 a and support rod 16 that is contemplated within the scope of the present invention 10. See also FIG. 44 for additional detailed illustration of a support rod 16, including a substantially open end 16 c and a partially open end 16 d that is contemplated within the scope of the present invention 10.
FIG. 16 illustrates various views (top views, isometric and side views) of a step-by-step assembly 10 as contemplated in the present invention 10, including but not limited to a support rod 16 being removably affixable to an attachment point 16 a, which is thereafter removably affixable to bracket 12, said attachment point having fastening holes 16 e that are removably affixable to a bracket 12 via a fastener 22, and including but not limited to said bracket 12 being removably affixable to a wall 18 via a wall 18 anchor/fastener 22.
FIGS. 17A, 17B and 17C illustrate cross sectional views of an assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention, and more specifically, FIGS. 17A, 17B and 17C illustrate a support rod 16 that is removably affixable to a head adapter 14, as shown. FIG. 17A illustrates a pre-assembled support rod 16 and head adapter 14 assembly 10. FIG. 17B illustrates a partially-assembled support rod 16 and head adapter 14 assembly 10. FIG. 17C illustrates a substantially partially-assembled support rod 16 and head adapter 14 assembly 10. More specifically, FIGS. 17A-17C illustrate at least one embodiment of an assembly 10 of the present invention 10 that includes, but is not limited to, a support rod 16 having a partially open end 16 d that removably engages an attachment portion 16 a (not shown here, but an example is provided in FIGS. 15A-15C) and further having a substantially open end 16 c, that removable engages a head adapter 14 at and within a port portion 14 a of said head adapter and wherein said support rod 16 engages said head adapter 14 via notch portions 16 b provided along said support rod 16 and wherein said head adapter 14 includes at least one fastening portion 14 b that removably engages said notch portions 16 b of said support rod.
FIG. 18 shows at least one example of a fastening portion 14 b as contemplated within the scope of the present invention. Such fastening portions 14 b may include, but are not limited to, levers, screws, attachment pins, ball plungers, spring plungers, nuts and bolts (or any combination thereof) and other fasteners that would be known by persons of ordinary skill in the art. Such fastening portions may include, but are not limited to, any number of materials such as metal, glass, plastic, fabric, adhesives or any combination thereof and any other such materials that would be known by persons of ordinary skill in the art.
FIGS. 19A, 19B and 19C illustrate cross sectional views of an assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention, and more specifically, FIGS. 19A, 19B and 19C illustrate a support rod 16 that is removably affixable to a head adapter 14, as shown. FIG. 19A illustrates a pre-assembled support rod 16 and head adapter 14 assembly 10. FIG. 19B illustrates a partially-assembled support rod 16 and head adapter 14 assembly 10. FIG. 19C illustrates a substantially partially-assembled support rod 16 and head adapter 14 assembly 10. More specifically, FIGS. 19A-19C illustrate at least one embodiment of an assembly 10 of the present invention 10 that includes, but is not limited to, a support rod 16 having a partially open end 16 d that removably engages an attachment portion 16 a (not shown here, but an example is provided in FIGS. 15A-15C) and further having a substantially open end 16 c, that removable engages a head adapter 14 at and within a port portion 14 a of said head adapter and wherein said support rod 16 engages said head adapter 14 via notch portions 14 c provided within said head adapter 14 and wherein said support rod 16 includes at least one fastening portion 16 f that removably engages said notch portions 14 c of said head adapter 14.
FIG. 20 illustrates an expanded isometric view of at least one embodiment of an assembly 10 in accordance with the present invention. More specifically, FIG. 20 illustrates a head adapter 14, having a view of the port portion 14 a and which houses a fastening portion 14 b that removably engages a support rod 16.
FIGS. 21-26 illustrate front views and side views of an assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and more specifically, FIGS. 21-26 illustrate various embodiments of head adapters 14 that are contemplated in the present invention. As shown in various examples, it is contemplated within the scope of the present invention that a head adapter 14 may include ornamental designs or design features and a variety of materials, fabrics, shapes (an any combination thereof) that are aesthetically pleasing or enhancing in the display of a handbag 20 (not shown in these figures).
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a head adapter 14 includes, but is not limited to, a simple cylindrical structure that is fitted to removably engage the handle or strap of a handbag 20 (not shown her). In at least another embodiment of the present invention 10, a head adapter 14 includes, but is not limited to, material that substantially forms a closed loop. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, a closed loop would be defined as a head adapter 14 that comprises at least one piece of material that is substantially symmetrical in references to its edges and/or other identifiable dimensions and is fitted with at least one port portion 14 a (not shown here) or penetrative hole, substantially through its width, that is fitted to receive a support rod 16 (not shown here). In at least another embodiment of the present invention, the head adapter 14 includes, but is not limited to, a cross body arc design (that is, a half circle that converts to a full circle) which may accommodate handbags 20 that include, but are not limited to, those with large tote handles, shoppers and/or cross body strapped handbags. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, a head adapter 14 may include, but is not limited to, a two-piece design wherein a fixed pull-down arm is adjusted into position allowing for the arc to be converted into an ellipse shape (for example, see FIG. 32).
In at least another embodiment of the present invention 10, a head adapter 14 includes, but is not limited to, a wing line design (that is, a track/mount assembly, a center attachment point that removably engages a support rod 16) and an attachment mechanism with friction pin (see for example, FIG. 46).
FIGS. 27 and 28 illustrate front views and side views of an assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and more specifically, FIGS. 27 and 28 illustrate an assembly 10 that includes, but is not limited to, front view of a head adapter 14, storing and displaying a handbag 20 and a side view of an assembly 10 that includes, but is not limited to, a head adapter 14, removably affixed to a support rod 16 (that illustrates a notch portion 16 b, that may removably engage a head adapter 14), and said head adapter 14 storing and displaying a handbag 20.
FIGS. 29, 30A and 30B illustrate front views of assemblies 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and more specifically, FIG. 29 illustrates a head adapter 14 storing and displaying a handbag 20. FIGS. 30A and 30B illustrate a head adapter 14 in a closed position (FIG. 30A) and an open position (FIG. 30B), said open position providing extra strap extension and support (strap drop position) for said handbag 20. FIG. 31 illustrates a more detailed (and varied) view of an assembly 10 of at least one embodiment of the present invention, and more specifically, a detailed view of at least one example of the head adapter 14 shown in FIGS. 30A and 30B. FIG. 32 illustrates another series of views of a least one embodiment of the present invention 10 and more specifically, a head adapter 14 having a closed position and open position.
FIGS. 33A and 33B illustrate an isometric and exploded view of an assembly 10 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 10 generally includes at least one bracket portion 12 that removably engages at least one head adapter 14, via at least one removably engagable support rod 16, wherein said head adapter is removably engaged with said support rod 16 via a fastening portion 14 b, said support rod 16 having an attachment portion 16 a, wherein said attachment portion 16 a is removably affixed to said bracket 12 via a fastener 22, and wherein said assembly 10 being removably affixable to a wall 18 (not shown) via at least one wall anchor 22 and wherein said assembly 10 provides for the display and storage of at least one handbag (not shown here).
FIG. 34 illustrates top, bottom and side views of an assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention and more specifically, FIG. 34 illustrates a bracket portion 12 of the present invention that is removably engaged with an attachment portion 16 a and said attachment portion 16 a is embedded within the structure of the assembled bracket 12. FIG. 35 illustrates top, bottom, side and isometric views of at least one embodiment of an attachment portion 16 a as contemplated within the scope of the present invention 10, and more specifically, FIG. 35 illustrates an expanded view of an attachment portion 16 a as shown in FIG. 34.
FIGS. 36A and 36B illustrate isometric and exploded views of an assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 10 is substantially vertical in orientation and generally includes several vertical bracket portions 12 that are removably affixed to one another via at least one bracket joiner portion 12 h and the outermost bracket portions 12 of said assembly 10 being removably affixed with bracket end caps 12 g. Said brackets 12 additionally removably engage at least one support rod 16 and said support rod 16 removably engages at least one head adapter 14 with fasteners 22 and fastening portions 14 b, as shown herein and as has already been disclosed previously in the present application.
FIGS. 37A and 37B illustrate isometric and exploded views of an assembly 10 according to at least one embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 10 is substantially horizontal in orientation and generally includes several horizontal bracket portions 12 that are removably affixed to one another via at least one bracket joiner portion 12 h and the outermost bracket portions 12 of said assembly 10 being removably affixed with bracket end caps 12 g. Said horizontal bracket portions 12 are further removably engaged with additional vertical support brackets 12, as shown. Said horizontal bracket portions 12 additionally removably engage at least one support rod 16 and said support rod 16 removably engages at least one attachment portion 16 a and which further removably engages at least one head adapter 14 with fasteners 22 and fastening portions 14 b, as shown herein, and as has already been disclosed previously in the present application.
FIG. 38 illustrates various expanded views (side, bottom and isometric rear and front views) of at least one embodiment of a bracket end cap 12 g as contemplated within the scope of the present invention 10 (other contextual views of bracket end caps 12 g are already shown in FIGS. 36A-37B herein).
FIGS. 39 and 40 illustrates various views (top end isometric, bottom end, front and side views and rear isometric view) of at least one embodiment of a bracket 12 that is fitted to receive a bracket end cap 12 g (not shown here) as contemplated within the scope of the present invention 10. FIGS. 45A-50 illustrate various views (front, top, bottom, side, isometric) of embodiments of head adapters 14 that are contemplated within the scope of the present invention 10. The figures further illustrate head adapters 14 that include, but are not limited to, port portions 14 a that are fitted to receive a support rod 16 (not shown). FIGS. 45A and 45B illustrate a head adapter 14 having a substantially open position and a substantially closed position (that can accommodate various handbag handle or strap designs). FIG. 46 illustrates a head adapter 14 that includes a substantial wing portion that is reversibly extendable (substantially laterally) between substantially closed and open positions (that can accommodate various handbag handle or strap designs).
FIGS. 47-50 illustrate additional embodiments of head adapters 14 that further include a port portions 14 a (as shown) for receiving a support rod 16 (not shown).
FIG. 51 illustrates a various examples of button caps 14 d, which is an additional optional feature contemplated for use with at least one embodiment of an assembly 10 of the present invention. Said button cap 14 d may come in various shapes and sizes, to cover a port portion 14 a (not shown here) of a head adapter 14 (not shown here), as has been previously described and shown in various figures in the present application.
FIG. 52 illustrates at least another embodiment of an assembly 10 of the present invention. More specifically, FIG. 52 illustrates an assembly which includes, but is not limited to, a head adapter 14 that is fitted with an anti-theft or security device 24, that aids in preventing the theft of a handbag 20, as shown.
FIG. 53 illustrates at least another embodiment of an assembly 10 of the present invention. More specifically, FIG. 53 illustrates an assembly 10 which includes, but is not limited to, a head adapter 14 having an offset cap portion 14 e that provides a guardrail or barrier for the handle or strap of a handbag 20 to rest against, in the event that the handbag has a center of gravity or weight that causes it to lean versus hanging in a straight up-and-down fashion. Such offset cap portion 14 e would prevent said handbag 20 from falling off of said head adapter 14.
FIGS. 54 and 55 illustrate at least another embodiment of a wall track bracket 12 assembly 10 and wall clip 12 i, respectively. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, a wall track bracket 12 assembly 10 and wall clip 12 i, would be ideal for commercial and/or retail types of clients with large handbag 20 collections, as it would enable said client to laterally attach their handbag 20 collection left-to-right, while the Wall Brackets still enable the client to adjust vertically. In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a wall clip 12 i would be removably affixable with a wall track bracket 12, thereby affixing said assembly to a wall 18 with fasteners 22 by means of threading said wall track bracket 12 and wall clip through fastening holes 12 e.
FIG. 56 illustrates at least another embodiment of the assembly 10 of the present invention that comprises a telescoping support arm portion 16. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, said support arm portion 16 would further include, but would not be limited to, an internal support arm 16 g portion secured within the interior surface of said support arm portions 16, which permits telescoping of said overall support arm 16 from an open position to a closed position, as is shown in FIG. 56.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, an assembly 10 that prevents damage to a handbag. An assembly 10 ideally promotes less handling of a handbag in a retail setting because a crescent shape resembles a woman's shoulder, so a customer can see how a handbag hangs without removing it from a rack and trying it on. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that removes pressure points of a handbag, which can cause indentation to a handbag handle or strap. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that provides a product line that addresses a fundamental void in protecting and more so, showcasing an elegant and sophisticated style imbued through the craftsmanship and design of luxury handbags. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that provides seasonal range of assembly materials (that is, support rods, brackets and/or head adapters) by color (for example, spring pastels, vibrant summer hues, autumn and winter earth tones, as well as a myriad of monochromatic lines). In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that provides design range in the form of shapes (for example, Howard Hughes' inspired line and geometric), flora (flowers/leaves) and modern elegance to match both personality of an individual and a handbag. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that offers a sophisticated, scalable and customizable solution in meeting both commercial (for example, retail) and personal consumer (personal home or closet storage and display assembly) applications.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that has at least one support rod 16 that comprises stainless steel, box tubing and/or tube rod. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that has at least one single support rod 16 that can hold multiple shaped and numbered head adapters 14 or merely a single head adapter 14. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that has at least one support rod 16 that can have an adjustable length moving between stored and displayed positions. Said adjustable lengths may comprise, but are not limited to, notches, slides, screw locks, fasteners, etc., as would be contemplated by persons of ordinary skill in the art.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that can be standard, customized, wall mounted, single-sided self-standing, double-sided self-standing, triple-sided self-standing or any multi-sided self-standing assembly 10 that is physically feasible for storing and displaying a handbag.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an assembly 10 comprises, but is not limited to, as assembly 10 that includes support rods 16 and attachment portions 16 a comprised of stainless steel, plastic, glass, rubber, wood or any combination thereof. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, an attachment portion 16 a and bracket portion 12 assembly 10 has a distinctive convex shape at the front and so too will the attachment point. The key is for this item to slide onto the guides of the wall bracket without hindrance. In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, the assembly would include: a ⅜″ screw with a hex head and must be countersunk so not to interfere with wall bracket and attachment point assembly; an attachment point height screw 10-32 machine screw; a recessed area for finger screw to be partially if not all countersunk with just top and bottom threads available for adjustment; the side does not push through, therefore when the screw is tightened it will seat without protruding; a support rod 16 is 19 mm in diameter and will be 6.5″ in length; the attachment portion 16 a is also 19 mm in diameter to give a clean marriage to the parts; notice indents to line up support rod 16 onto attachment portion 16 a at the 3-6-9 o′clock positions; the support rod is hollow for the exception of where ⅜″ screw will make contact; walls of support rod 16 are 2 mm thick; a bracket portion 12 has a this 5 mm opening (at the rear of the bracket), which accommodates a 10-32 stainless steel machine screw that connects the attachment portion 16 a to the bracket portion 12, that further provides a load bearing focus for the design for the support rod 16 and attachment portion 16 a.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a method of assembling an attachment portion 16 a to a support arm 16 would include, but is not limited to:
Step 1: aligning a support rod 16 with an attachment portion 16 a;
Step 2: sliding a support rod 16 arm onto an attachment portion 16 a in desired positions: 3-6-9 o′clock; and
Step 3: placing a screw into a threaded opening (or fastening hole, as previously described herein) and using a hex key to tighten. Now attachment portion 16 a and support rod 16 is one unit.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a method of attaching an attachment portion 16 a and support rod 16 onto wall bracket (bracket portion) 12 would include, but is not limited to:
Step 1: attaching a wall bracket 12 to a wall 18;
Step 2: placing an attachment portion 16 a over the channels (receiving holes 12 c, as previously described) of wall bracket 12;
Step 3: sliding an attachment portion 16 a to a first position over the channel on a wall bracket 12; and
Step 4: threading an attachment portion 16 a pin/fastener 22 into the opening (receiving hole) 12 c.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a wall bracket (bracket portion 12) would include, but is not limited to a wall bracket 12 having a modern, sleek look (no screws shown in mounted position); could be mounted both horizontally and vertically with existing hardware in a number of lengths depending on a user's needs. In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, bracket portions 12 may be comprised of (but not limited to): vertical (single bracket); horizontal, with two vertical brackets/supports; double sided self-standing version (not wall mounted, but free-standing).
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a wall bracket channel/track for an attachment portion would include, but not be limited to, an opening that is 5 mm wide to allow for 10-32 machine screws, a channel that is no more than 9 mm wide to allow for an attachment adapter to follow along smoothly.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a wall bracket 12 attachment feature for hanging on a wall would include: a top portion 12, a bottom portion 12, a 4 mm opening-smooth and 12 mm on center of opening from top/bottom edge (fastening hole, as previously described), 9.5 mm threaded opening, 25 mm on center of opening from top/bottom edge (must be countersunk so screw is flush when horizontal wall bracket is attached). Threads would be dual purpose and intentionally designed as such. This will allow for an 8×1-¼ pan head screw and attachment for a horizontal wall adapter accessory.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, an assembly would include, but not be limited to, a double sided self-standing bracket-double sided option for self-standing units and sleek oval shape in center of wall bracket when facing forward and with screws or without screws (which would act as leverage point)
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, wall bracket portions 12 would include a horizontal configuration that includes two vertical wall bracket supports. A horizontal bracket accessory would include: a 14-piece accessory kit requiring 2 horizontal brackets. Applications whereby the length of the wall is much longer will require added vertical supports in sets equal to the length of your purchased wall bracket length. Two wall bracket supports could include, but are not limited to: 2 top plates, 2 bottom plates, 2 set screws, 4 wall board screws and 8×1-¼, 4 wall anchors.
Additional embodiments of wall bracket support could include, but are not limited to, a cutout which serves two functions: (1) indicative to brand and reduces material usage when time for production, and (2) hollow still provides enough material to hide screws thereby maintaining sleek look.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, a method of assembling a horizontal bracket accessory would include, but is not limited to:
Step 1: Lining up notches and recesses on both top and bottom plate. These notches and recesses add strength to the bracket system;
Step 2: Lining up top plate, bottom plate, set screws and wall board screws with wall bracket;
Step 3: Sliding bottom plate in from under the wall bracket along the rail system on the rear of the unit (end closest to the wall);
Step 4: Lining up bottom plate screw opening with threaded opening at the rear of wall bracket;
Step 5: Placing top plate onto bottom plate with rear notches seated into the bottom plate recesses;
Step 6: Aligning threaded holes of top and bottom plate; and
Step 7: Fastening set screw. Now wall bracket and horizontal accessory kit is one unit. Repeat steps 1-6 above for remaining support brackets.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, assemblies could include, but are not limited to: applying head adapters 14 to preexisting racks; applying head adapters to disclosed support rods 16 and wall brackets 12; applying head adapters 14 to rail system/support rods 16 with multiple shaped head adapters (as shown in the various figures disclosed herein.
In at least one embodiment of the present invention 10, assemblies 10 may include, but are not limited to, portions and parts that are reutilized, repurposed, rearranged and/or recycled.
Although the invention has been described in terms of particular embodiments and applications, one of ordinary skill in the art, in light of this teaching, can generate additional embodiments and modifications without departing from the spirit of or exceeding the scope of the claimed invention. Accordingly, it is to be understood that the drawings and descriptions herein are proffered by way of example to facilitate comprehension of the invention and should not be construed to limit the scope thereof.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A head adapter for supporting and displaying a handbag, comprising:

a closed loop that substantially supports at least a portion of a handbag; and

an opening within said closed loop wherein said opening is substantially fitted to receive a support rod.

2. The head adapter of claim 1, wherein said closed loop is substantially the shape of a cylinder.

3. The head adapter of claim 1, wherein said closed loop is substantially symmetrical.

4. The head adapter of claim 1, wherein said opening with said closed loop fully pierces said closed loop.

5. The head adapter of claim 1, wherein said closed loop is reversibly separable into at least two parts to further support at least a portion of a handbag.

6. The head adapter of claim 1, wherein said closed loop is reversibly extendable and retractable into at least two orientations.

7. The head adapter of claim 1, wherein said closed loop further comprises at least one additional support portion that engages at least a portion of said handbag.

8. An assembly for supporting and displaying a handbag, comprising:

at least one closed loop;

at least one opening within said closed loop for receiving a support rod; and

at least one support rod comprising a support rod.

9. The assembly of claim 8, wherein said support rod comprises a substantially cylindrical shape.

10. The assembly of claim 8, wherein said support rod comprises an extendable length.

11. An assembly for supporting and displaying a handbag, comprising:

at least one closed loop;

at least one support rod;

at least one bracket;

an opening within said at least one closed loop for receiving at least one of the support rods.

12. The assembly of claim 11, wherein said assembly comprises at least one bracket comprising a substantially vertical orientation that is affixed to a wall.

13. The assembly of claim 11, wherein said assembly comprises at least one bracket comprising a substantially vertical orientation that is a free standing unit.

14. The assembly of claim 11, wherein said at least one bracket comprises a substantially horizontal orientation, comprising a substantially horizontal bracket that is affixed to two vertical support brackets that are further affixed to a wall.

15. The assembly of claim 11, wherein said assembly comprises at least two support rods comprising reversibly extendable lengths.

16. The assembly of claim 11, wherein said at least one bracket comprises a vertical orientation that is affixed to a wall.

17. The assembly of claim 11, wherein said at least one closed loop further comprises at least one closed loop that is fully penetrated with a support rod and at least one closed loop that is partially penetrated by said support rod.

18. The assembly of claim 11, wherein said at least one closed loop further comprises a closed loop that comprises an additional support portion for supporting a handle or strap of a handbag.

19. The assembly of claim 12, wherein said assembly comprising at least one bracket comprising a substantially vertical orientation that is affixed to a wall further comprises at least two laterally connected vertically oriented brackets that further comprise at least two support rods removably connected therefrom and that further comprise each at least one closed loop.

20. The assembly of claim 14, wherein said assembly comprising a substantially horizontal bracket that is affixed to two vertical support brackets that are further affixed to a wall further comprises at least two laterally connected horizontally oriented brackets that further comprise at least two support rods removably connected therefrom and that further comprise each at least one closed loop.
