Abstract

The present invention provides a hybrid picture classification method. The method integrates the decision tree classification method and the association rule mining method for both single-object picture classification and multiple-object picture classification. In the case of single-object picture, classification is made based on a representative object in the picture and, in the case of multiple-object picture, the association rule is applied to determine the relationship between the objects before classification. Then, a virtual syntax module is employed and every picture is transformed before the classification method is applied.
