Abstract
FIELD: microbiological and medical industries. SUBSTANCE: inactivation unit has collector 1 for collecting suspension of microorganisms to be inactivated, inactivating liquid collector 2, mixer 3 connected with collectors 1 and 2 through branch pipes 4 and 5, vessel 6 for ultraviolet irradiation of mixture Vessel 6 has bottom 7 and cover 8 and is further provided with supply branch pipe 9 and discharge branch pipe, as well as with germicidal lamps 11. Inactivation unit has inactivated mixture collector 12. Mixer 3 is formed as cyclone provided with centrifugal nozzle 13 positioned axially of cyclone in its upper part and supply branch pipe 14. Nozzle 13 has flaring outlet end. Branch pipe 14 is positioned tangentially on body of nozzle 13 so that it provides direction of rotation of inactivating liquid, which is opposite to that of microorganism suspension flow supplied into cyclone shell. Inactivating unit is provided with heat-exchanger 15 connected to cyclone and vessel 6 and adapted for thermal inactivation of microorganisms. Vessel 6 has light-transmitting tube 16 positioned axially of it and connected to bottom 7 and cover 8. Tube 16 has auger-type insertion 17 for turbulization of mixture subjected to irradiation. Germicidal lamps 11 are arranged around tube 16. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation of unit by combined action of chemical, thermal and ultraviolet factors. 4 dwg
