Abstract

The retractor for laparoscopic operations performed in the peritoneal cavity is in the form of a balloon (1) fitted with an insufflation / desuflation tube (1), which after ballooning (1) has the shape of a hollow cylinder with an annular cross-section, whereas before insufflation it is folded into a harmonica towards the balloon axis (1) and rolled up around the balloon axis (1). The balloon (1) is made of thin-walled plastic polymer material, especially of modified nylon or duralin. Preferably the retractor is disposable.
