Abstract
Provided is a high Mn steel that has excellent corrosion resistance, in particular corrosion resistance in a salt corrosive environment. The present invention has composition components of C: 0.20 to 0.70 pcnt , Si: 0.05 to 1.00 pcnt , Mn: 15.0 to 35.0 pcnt , P: 0.030 pcnt or less, S: 0.0200 pcnt or less, Al: 0.010 to 0.100 pcnt , Cr: 0.5 to 8.0 pcnt , and N: 0.0010 to 0.0300 pcnt . The balance is Fe and unavoidable impurities. At least 60 pcnt of the Cr contained is solid solution Cr.
