Abstract

Se describe un dispositivo compacto de compresión de gas compuesto por: a) uno o más compresores centrífugos; y b) un motor eléctrico síncrono de imán permanente de flujo axial de alta velocidad. El motor eléctrico y el compresor están acoplados directamente en un solo eje y soportados por cojinetes pasivos magnéticos y electrodinámicos, libres de lubricación. El equipo no usa sellos mecánicos ya que el rotor está colocado dentro de la contención de presión del gas. El equipo no requiere de sistemas auxiliares para enfriamiento, filtración, separación o alimentación de fluidos lubricantes.A compact gas compression device is described, composed of: a) one or more centrifugal compressors; and b) a high speed axial flux permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. The electric motor and the compressor are directly coupled to a single shaft and supported by passive magnetic and electrodynamic bearings, free of lubrication. The equipment does not use mechanical seals since the rotor is placed inside the gas pressure containment. The equipment does not require auxiliary systems for cooling, filtration, separation or feeding of lubricating fluids.
