Description

PACKAGING IN THE SHAPE OF MARINE SHELL TO STORE AND DISPLAY CONSUMER PRODUCTS FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a package used to store and display consumer products, as well as to the packaging known as a shell consisting of two sides generally made of a thermoplastic material and sealed together, used for the purpose of storing a consumer product .
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Shell or bubble wrap packaging is a well-known type of packaging used in a wide variety of consumer products, such as electric or electronic products such as portable compact disc players, cassette recorders, players and other portable audio and video products. Often these packages are designed to be resistant to theft, allowing in turn to clearly display the design and characteristics of the product to the consumer in commerce. However, it is not common to use such packaging to store and display personal care or household cleaning products. including perfumed products such as hair conditioners, liquid body soaps, skin lotions, deodorants, detergents and fabric softeners and the like. In stores, consumers tend to interact with products used for personal care and cleaning the home smelling, for example, their perfume. Unfortunately, marine-shaped packages tend to isolate the consumer from the product, thus preventing this type of interaction. Frequently a consumer product can be packaged in an inverted container, also called a tottle. Some examples include products used in the shower, such as shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash. A disadvantage of the inverted containers used in the packaging of these products is that, if the lid has not been closed firmly, they can cause losses and spillage of the product in the counters of the stores. For this reason, the need arose to develop a package in the shape of a seashell that can store and effectively exhibit the product, especially a perfumed consumer product, allowing the consumer to interact with the product, such as by smelling it without having to open the packaging in the shape of a marine shell. An attempt was also made to develop a secondary packaging capable of storing and exhibiting the product packaged in an inverted container and also avoiding spills on store counters.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a package used to store and display consumer products packaged in bottles with a lid. The shell-shaped packaging comprises a first side in the form of a marine shell and a second side in the form of a marine shell, further characterized in that at least a part of the first and second side in the form of a marine shell are joined to store the shell. consumer product between the first and the second side in the form of a seashell. This type of packaging also has an opening through which a small part of the lid of the consumer product is extended, from the packaging in the form of a marine shell. In this way, the product can be stored and displayed, making it easier for the consumer to access the bottle cap. This is how the consumer is allowed to open said lid and smell or taste the product. The present invention also relates to a shell-shaped package used to store and display a consumer product comprising an inverted container containing a liquid composition. The shell-shaped packaging comprises a first side in the form of a marine shell and a second side in the form of a marine shell, further characterized in that at least a part of the first and second side in the form of a marine shell are joined to store the shell. product and prevent leakage of the liquid composition of the packaging in the form of a marine shell. In this way, an inverted container containing a composition can be displayed in the Store counters without the worry of a possible loss of the product. The shell-shaped packaging can be used to store and display several products in a single package.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES FIG. 1 corresponds to the perspective view of one of the embodiments of the shell-shaped packaging of the present invention. FIG. 2 corresponds to the front view of the shell-shaped package of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 corresponds to the view of the base of the shell-shaped package of FIG. 1. FIG. 4 corresponds to the side view of the shell-shaped package of FIG. 1. FIG. 5 corresponds to the flat view of the template corresponding to the shell-shaped package of FIG. that has been manufactured in a single piece of thermoplastic material and whose sides have not yet been sealed. FIG. 6 corresponds to the perspective view of the shell-shaped package of FIG. 1 that, in this case, stores and exhibits two consumer products, and each consumer product comprises an inverted container.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION As used herein, the term "shell" is intended to include those thermoformed packages called, generally, marine or bubble shell packages. For this very reason, the term "shell-shaped packaging", as used herein, also includes bubble-type packaging. As used herein, the term "inverted container" refers to a bottle whose lid is designed so that said bottle can rest on it. Many shampoos, hair conditioners, shaving lotions, liquid body soaps, body moisturizers for showering and other products used in the shower or bathtub are stored in inverted containers. In one aspect of the present invention, the shell-shaped package comprises a first side shell-shaped side and a second side shell-shaped side, further characterized in that at least a portion of the first and second laterally shaped of seashell are attached to store the consumer product between the first and the second side in the form of a seashell. The sides of said packaging can be sealed by means of different processes or materials known in the industry, among which we can mention the thermostatic seal, the adhesive seal or by friction, for example, through the use of fastening tabs adapted to the friction when connecting the male element with the female element.
The shell-shaped package preferably further comprises an opening through which at least a portion of the product cap extends over the shell-shaped package. The lid can be raised, screwed, pressurized, or similar. Preferably, the lid should be raised because it allows the consumer to open it easily to smell the perfume or interact with the product in some other way, without having to open the package in the form of a seashell. Preferably, at least one side of the shell-shaped package has a molded support area with sufficient space to store and display the inverted bottle or container of the consumer product. The bottle or inverted container of the product are usually made of plastic. Examples of suitable plastic materials include high density polyethylene ("HDPE"), low density polyethylene ("LDPE"), polyethylene terephthalate ("PET"), its acronym in English), polypropylene ("PP", for its acronym in English), polyvinyl chloride, polycarbonate, nylon and fluorinated ethylene propylene. The bottle can be manufactured by various processes known in the industry, such as blow molding, injection molding and similar processes. Preferably, the bottles used in the present invention are made of HDPE or PP by an extrusion-blow molding process, or PET by an injection-blow molding process.
The shell-shaped packaging used in the present invention is generally made of a thermoplastic material. Some examples of thermoplastic materials are: acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), acrylic, celluloid, cellulose acetate, ethylene vinyl alcohol (E / VAL), fluoro plastics (polytetrafluoroethylenes (PTFE), including fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), perfluoroalkoxide (PFA), chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE), ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE), ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE), ionomer, liquid crystal polymer (LCP), polyacetal (POM or acetal), polyacrylate (acrylic), polyacrylonitrile (PAN or acrylonitrile), polyamide (PA or nylon), polyamide-imide (PAI), polyaryletherketone (PAEK or ketone), polybutadiene (PBD), polybutylene (PB), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), dimethyl polycyclohexylene terephthalate (PCT), polycarbonate (PC), polyketone (PK), polyester, polyethylene, polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polyetherimide (PEI), polyethersulfone (PES), colored polyethylene (PEC), polyimide (Pl), polymethylpentene (PMP) , rust of polyphenylene (PPO), polyphenylene sulfate (PPS), polyphthalamide (PPA), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polysulfone (PSU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and mixtures thereof. Preferred thermoplastic materials mentioned herein include polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene terephthalate and polypropylene. The thermoplastic material should preferably be transparent, especially transparent polyvinyl chloride. A second aspect of the present invention relates to the shell-shaped package that contains and exhibits a product of consumption that comprises an inverted container In this aspect, the packaging in the form of a marine shell has no opening and both sides of said package are preferably joined by means of some method that seals them, such as the thermostatic seal so that, of this In this way, the packaging retains any leakage of the product and prevents it from dripping off the counter. Although this method does not facilitate the interaction between the consumer and the product, it prevents any leakage that occurs over the counter. In one of the embodiments of the present invention, the shell-shaped package is a package in the form of a triptych shell comprising a first and second side plus a base. The part corresponding to the base is joined to the first side by a first hinge and the second side by a second hinge. Both the two sides, as well as the optional part of the base, of the shell-shaped packaging can be made from a single continuous piece of thermoplastic material, or they can be made of different pieces of thermoplastic material that will then be thermo-sealed or bonded in some other way. The shell pack can also store perforations that go through one or more of the sides allowing the package to hang on the hooks located on the counter. The marine shell-shaped packages mentioned in the present invention can be used to store and display a variety of personal care products such as hair conditioners, shaving lotions, body wash, moisturizers body for shower and other similar products. Non-exclusive examples of shampoos are described in U.S. Pat. num. RE34,584, 5,932,203, and 5,935,561.
