Description
Claims (20)
- N(N은 1보다 큰 정수)개의 뷰를 표시하기 위한 다중 뷰 디스플레이에 있어서,복수의 복합 화소 그룹(composite pixel group)을 포함하는 디스플레이 장치 - 상기 복수의 복합 화소 그룹 각각은 서로 다른 적어도 3가지 색상의 화소들을 포함하고, 상기 화소들 중 적어도 2개의 화소는 동일한 색상을 가짐 - ,복수의 뷰잉 영역을 형성하기 위해 상기 디스플레이 장치와 협력하는 시차(parallax) 생성 장치, 및상기 그룹 각각 중 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 적어도 2개의 화소에 동일한 이미지 데이터를 공급하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 서로 다른 적어도 3가지 색상은 서로 다른 3가지 색상을 포함하는 디스플레이.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 서로 다른 3가지 색상들은 레드, 그린, 및 블루를 포함하는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 화소들은 N개의 열들의 집합들로서 배열되고, 상기 집합 각각은 상기 시차 생성 장치의 해당 시차 구성요소와 협력하는 디스플레이.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 그룹 각각은 4개의 상기 화소를 포함하고, 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 적어도 2개의 화소는 2개의 상기 화소를 포함하는 디스플레이.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 그룹들은 행들로서 배열되고, 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 2개의 화소는 상기 행들 각각에서 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 디스플레이.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 2개의 화소는 상기 행들 모두에서 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 디스플레이.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 그룹 각각의 상기 화소들은, 상기 열들 중 (N-1)개에 의해 분리된 한 쌍의 상기 열들내에, 서로 다른 색상의 상기 화소들로 이루어진 2개의 쌍으로서 배열된 디스플레이.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 2개의 화소는 상기 그룹 각각의 상기 화소들 중 다른 것들에 비해 더 작은 면적을 갖는 디스플레이.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 서로 다른 3가지 색상은 레드, 그린, 및 블루를 포함하고, 상기 화소들의 상기 그룹 각각은 상기 레드, 그린, 및 블루 화소들로 이루어진 한 쌍의 트리플렛(triplet)을 포함하고, 상기 트리플렛들은 상기 열들 중 (N-1)개에 의해 분리된 한 쌍의 상기 열에 배치되는 디스플레이.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 서로 다른 3가지 색상은 레드, 그린, 및 블루를 포함하고, 상기 화소들의 상기 그룹 각각은 상기 레드, 그린, 및 블루 화소들로 이루어지고, 한 행 내에 배열된 한 쌍의 트리플렛을 포함하고, 상기 그룹 각각의 상기 화소들의 인접하는 쌍들은 상기 열들 중 (N-1)개에 의해 분리되는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 공급 수단은 상기 동일 이미지 데이터를 포함하는 이미지 데이터를 상기 디스플레이 장치에 공급하기 위한 제어기를 포함하는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 공급 수단은 상기 그룹 각각의 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 적어도 2개의 화소 사이에 각자의 영구적인 접속을 포함하는 디스플레이.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 공급 수단은, 상기 그룹 각각의 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 적어도 2개의 화소가 함께 접속되는 다중 뷰 동작 모드와, 상기 그룹 각각의 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 적어도 2개의 화소 각각이 상기 열들 중 인접하는 열에 있는 상기 그룹들 중의 상기 다른 그룹의 상기 동일한 색상을 갖는 상기 화소들 중 다른 화소에 접속되는 단일 뷰 동작 모드 사이를 전환하는 전환 장치를 포함하는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 그룹 각각의 상기 화소들은, 상기 화소 각각이 최대 강도일 때 상기 그룹 각각이 화이트로 색상-균형(colour-balance)을 이루게 하는 면적들을 가지는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 뷰들은 입체적으로 관련되는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 뷰들은 서로 관련되지 않는 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,N은 2인 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 디스플레이 장치는 LCD인 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 시차 생성 장치는 시차 장벽(parallax barrier)인 디스플레이.
