Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically perform multi-stage grinding for a work of different kind, by automatically discriminating a kind of the work and automatically performing switching of the indexing position of a table and a fixed dimensional point of a fixed dimensional device. CONSTITUTION:At grinding of, for instance, a work W1, each ground places W11, W12... of the work W1 is automatically indexed to a location at a face- to-face position to a grindstone G through an indexing plate 17, having a knock groove 17a with a pitch interval of the work ground place, similarly through a holding plate 21, having an indexing position confirming limit switch LS. Futher a grindstone 25 is automatically positioned to a fixed dimensional point for each ground place W11, W12... through a feed conversion mechanism cooperatively actuated with a stopper 31 and said stone 25. At this time, the work W1 is decided by adapting its ground place W14 to a proximity switch 53 in the vicinity of the grindstone G.
