Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the sealing efficiency of a cassette and simplify the closing operation of rotating and sliding covers by closing openning and cut parts with the rotating and sliding covers, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An opening/closing cover 17 and a sliding cover 18 of a tape cassette 1 are kept in closed status. When the tape cassette is fitted to a tape recorder, a cover unlocking member is inserted into slits 33, 34. The sliding cover slides against a spring 26 and a notched part 13 is opened. At the same time, a gear rotates pinion 42 through a rack 44 of the sliding cover 18, so that a rotating cover 42 is rotated to open an opening part.
