Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a composition for skin application, useful as a base of cosmetics, etc. which makes fair skin and prevents the aging of the skin, comprising a chondroitin sulfate, gelatin, a polyhydric alcohol, and water.
CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 0.01W1 wt% of a chondroitin sulfate or its salt (e.g. sodium chondroitin sulfate), (B) 0.005W1 wt% of gelatin, (C) 1W30 wt% of a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. propyleneglycol), and (D) ≥50 wt% of water. The composition may contatin 0.01W1 wt% of vitamin B6, 0.01W1 wt% of glutamic acid or its salt, and proper amounts of Ca ions, phosphate ions, choresterol, lecithin, etc.
EFFECT: Harmless to the skin.
