Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure longer life of the heater by directly heating water in a container with constant temperature heating elements made of a barium titanate semiconductor arranged at proper points on the case of the boiler. CONSTITUTION:When a required amount of water is put into the pot 1 and heating elements made of a barium titanate semiconductor is energized, the temperature of the heating surface 51 goes up to heat the water. In the process, due to a characteristic of the heating element 5, a rapid increase in the electric resistance checks further rise of the temperature after a certain temperature is reached. Thus, there is no danger of overheating following the evaporation of the water. Accordingly, even if the voltage applied on the heating element varies, the element itself blocks the current after the certain temperature is reached. Thus, overheating can be eliminated completely.
