Abstract

PURPOSE: Title flexible products that are composed of a thermoplastic elastomer and an ethylene-1-butene copolymer with a constant ethylene content, thus showing soft and good feeling and low natural shrinkage.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of an ethylene-1-butene copolymer containing 65W 90wt% of ethylene are kneaded with 10W200pts of a thermoplastic elastomer, preferably aliphatic hydrocarbon. The composition is extruded through a usual T-die or annular die into a film or tube at 170W250°C and drawn at 60W100°C under reheating usually at 1.2W4 draw ratio in the direction to which the shrinkage is required to occur.
