Description

This disclosure relates to a cabinet device and a method for installing the cabinet device.

The kitchen cabinet described in Patent Document 1 comprises a lower cabinet and an upper cabinet.

The lower cabinet is mounted on the floor near a corner of the kitchen.
The lower cabinet is provided with a drawer. The top plate of the lower cabinet extends in a direction in which the drawer is pulled out (hereinafter, referred to as the front direction).
The front end of the top plate of the lower cabinet is supported from below by a floor unit capable of storing items.

The upper cabinet is placed on the top of the lower cabinet.
The internal space of the upper cabinet is divided into front and rear compartments by a single partition plate, forming two storage compartments. Each of the two storage compartments has an open side in the left-right direction.

In the kitchen cabinet described in Patent Document 1, in order to improve the design or reinforce the cabinet, it is possible to cover the top plate of the upper cabinet with a separate top plate. Hereinafter, this separate top plate will be referred to as a cover board. The cover board is screwed to the top plate of the upper cabinet from the inside of each storage section.
When the cover board needs to be replaced due to damage or dirt after the kitchen cabinet has been put into use, a worker reaches into the storage compartment through the open side thereof to remove the screws and detach the cover board from the upper cabinet.

The kitchen cabinet described in Patent Document 1 is adjacent to the side of a kitchen unit that includes a sink. For example, if the kitchen unit blocks most of the open surface of one of the storage compartments, making it difficult to take items in and out, it may be possible to close the storage compartment beforehand. However, if the storage compartment is closed, it is not possible to reach into the storage compartment from the open surface to remove the screws, making it difficult to remove the cover board.

The objective of this disclosure is to provide a cabinet device and a cabinet device installation method that allows the cover board to be easily removed.

The cabinet device disclosed herein comprises a first cabinet long in one direction, a box body having a top plate and one open side, a second cabinet having a second top plate and in which electrical equipment is stored, and a cover board covering the box body and the second cabinet from above, wherein the first cabinet is installed on a floor surface with its length extending along the floor surface, the box body and the second cabinet are juxtaposed on top of the first cabinet such that the second cabinet conceals the open side of the box body, and the cover board is fixed to the top plate and the second top plate, respectively, from the inside of the box body and the second cabinet, respectively, using screws.

In the present disclosure, a first cabinet that is long in one direction is placed on a floor surface with its length direction aligned along the floor surface.
The box has a top plate and one side is open.
The second cabinet has a second top plate and houses an electric device.

A box and a second cabinet are arranged in juxtaposition to the first cabinet. The second cabinet conceals the open side of the box.
The cover board covers the box body and the second cabinet from above, and is fixed to the top plate of the box body and the second top plate of the second cabinet from inside the box body and the second cabinet, respectively, using screws.

When removing the cover board, the worker reaches inside the second cabinet and removes the screws that secure the cover board to the second top plate of the second cabinet.
Next, the worker removes the second cabinet from between the first cabinet and the cover board. By removing the second cabinet, the open surface of the box body that was hidden by the second cabinet is exposed.

Next, the worker reaches inside the box from the open side and removes the screws that secure the cover board to the top plate of the box.
In this manner, all the screws fastening the cover board can be removed, so that the cover board can be easily removed.

The cabinet device according to the present disclosure is characterized in that the second cabinet has the second top plate that is partially open, the vertical length of the second cabinet is shorter than the vertical length of the box body, an intermediate plate is interposed between the second top plate and the cover board, screws that fix the cover board to the second top plate pass through the intermediate plate, the cover board has a rectangular shape that is long in one direction, and has a hanging part that hangs down from the underside over the entire length of one long side, and the hanging part hides the gap formed between the second cabinet and the cover board.

In the present disclosure, the vertical length of the second cabinet is shorter than the vertical length of the box body. When the cover board covers the box body and the second cabinet from above and comes into contact with the top plate of the box body, a gap is formed between the cover board and the second cabinet.
An intermediate plate is interposed between the second top plate and the cover board of the second cabinet. Since the screws are fastened so as to penetrate the intermediate plate, the cover board can be firmly fixed to the second top plate of the second cabinet via the intermediate plate.

The hanging portion of the cover board conceals the gap between the second cabinet and the cover board, thus improving the aesthetic appearance of the cabinet device. In addition, the hanging portion of the cover board functions as a so-called front curtain, improving the design of the cabinet device.

After removing the screws that secure the cover board to the second top plate of the second cabinet, the worker removes the intermediate plate from between the second top plate and the cover board through the open portion of the second top plate.
When removing the second cabinet from between the first cabinet and the cover board, the worker removes the second cabinet by going around the hanging portion of the cover board from below.
Thereafter, the cover board can be easily removed by removing the screws that secure the cover board to the top plate of the box body.

The cabinet device according to the present disclosure is characterized in that the first cabinet has a first side panel and a first support facing each other at a distance in the length direction, a first top panel stretched between the first side panel and the first support, and a first support plate whose two sides are attached to the edges of the first side panel and the first top panel and spaced apart from the first support, and the box further has a back panel and a support plate located above the first support plate, between which the top panel is stretched, and further includes a decorative panel covering the outer surfaces of the first support plate and the support plate, a spacer interposed between the first support plate and the support plate and the decorative panel, and a concealing member that conceals a gap formed between the first support plate and the support plate and the decorative panel.

In the present disclosure, the decorative panel covers the outer surfaces of the first support plate of the first cabinet and the support plate of the box body, thereby improving the aesthetic appearance of the cabinet device.
The spacers are interposed between the first support plate of the first cabinet and the support plate of the box body, and between the decorative panel, so that the outer surface of the decorative panel can be positioned at an appropriate position in the thickness direction without using a thick decorative panel.
The concealing member conceals the gap between the first support plate and the decorative panel, thereby improving the aesthetic appearance of the cabinet assembly.
Because the cosmetic panel does not cover the second cabinet, there is no need to remove the cosmetic panel when removing the cover board.

The cabinet device according to the present disclosure further includes a third cabinet having a third top plate and installed on the floor surface adjacent to the first cabinet and the second cabinet in the longitudinal direction, the cover board covers the box body, the second cabinet, and the third cabinet from above, and the cover board is fixed to the third top plate from the inside of the third cabinet using screws.

In the present disclosure, the third cabinet is installed on the floor surface adjacent to the first cabinet and the second cabinet in the longitudinal direction of the first cabinet.
The cover board covers the box body, the second cabinet, and the third cabinet from above, and is fixed to a top plate of the box body, a second top plate of the second cabinet, and a third top plate of the third cabinet from inside the box body, the second cabinet, and the third cabinet, respectively, using screws.

When removing the cover board, the worker reaches inside the third cabinet and removes the screws that secure the cover board to the third top plate of the third cabinet.
There is no risk that the third cabinet will hinder the removal of the second cabinet.

The cabinet device according to the present disclosure is characterized in that the first cabinet is adjacent to two walls that form an inside corner, the length direction is along one of the two walls, the box body and the second cabinet are juxtaposed to the first cabinet with the box body being closer to the other of the two walls, and further includes a fourth cabinet, which is adjacent to the other of the two walls and is installed on the floor surface adjacent to a portion of the first cabinet that is located below the box body and adjacent to the box body.

In the present disclosure, the first cabinet is installed on the floor near the corner.
The fourth cabinet is adjacent to the other of the two wall surfaces that form the inside corner, and is adjacent to the first cabinet and the box body.
Because the fourth cabinet is not adjacent to the second cabinet, it is not necessary to remove the fourth cabinet when removing the cover board.

The cabinet device according to the present disclosure is characterized in that the first cabinet has two first side panels spaced apart from each other in the length direction, a first top panel and a first back panel each spanning between the two first side panels, and a first support plate whose two sides are attached to one of the two first side panels and to the edge of each of the first top panel and spaced apart from the other of the two first side panels, and the second cabinet has two second side panels spaced apart from each other in the length direction, and a second back panel, a second bottom panel, and the second top panel each spanning between the two second side panels, and the box has only one side open.

In the present disclosure, the first cabinet and the second cabinet are each box-shaped, and therefore have high strength and can be stably placed on a horizontal surface. The box body also has high strength and can be stably placed on a horizontal surface.
Therefore, even before the cabinet device is installed, the first cabinet, the second cabinet, and the box body can be easily handled (e.g., transported).
Furthermore, since it is easy to stably install the first cabinet on the floor surface and to stably install the second cabinet and the box body on the first cabinet, construction of the cabinet apparatus is easy.

The method of installing a cabinet device according to the present disclosure is characterized in that a first cabinet long in one direction is installed on a floor surface so that the length direction is along the floor surface, a box body having a top plate and one open side is installed on the other side of the first cabinet in the length direction so that the open side of the box body faces one side of the first cabinet in the length direction, a cover board long in one direction is covered from above with the other side in the length direction of the cover board so that one side in the length direction faces the one side of the first cabinet, the cover board is screwed to the top plate from inside the box body, a second cabinet having a second top plate and storing electrical equipment is inserted between the first cabinet and the cover board so that the second cabinet hides the open side of the box body, and the cover board is screwed to the second top plate from inside the second cabinet.

In the present disclosure, first, the first cabinet is installed on the floor surface, and then the box body is installed in the first cabinet, in that order.
Next, the cover board is screwed to the box body, the second cabinet is inserted between the first cabinet and the cover board, and the cover board is screwed to the second cabinet, in that order.
As a result of the above, the cabinet device according to the present disclosure can be installed.

The cover board can be removed by removing the screws that secure the cover board to the second cabinet, removing the second cabinet from the first cabinet and cover board, and then removing the screws that secure the cover board to the box body, in that order. In other words, the cover board can be easily removed by following the steps in reverse to those used to attach the cover board.

The method of installing the cabinet device according to the present disclosure is characterized in that, when fastening the cover board to the box body with screws, the rectangular cover board having a hanging portion hanging from one side over the entire length of one long side is fastened to the top plate of the box body with the one side of the cover board facing downward, when inserting the second cabinet between the first cabinet and the cover board, the second cabinet having the second top plate with a portion open is inserted between the first cabinet and the cover board so as to bypass the hanging portion from below, an intermediate plate is inserted between the second top plate of the second cabinet and the cover board through the open portion of the second top plate, and when fastening the cover board to the second cabinet with screws, the cover board is fastened to the second top plate of the second cabinet from inside the second cabinet with the screws penetrating the intermediate plate.

In the present disclosure, after the box is installed in the first cabinet, a cover board having a hanging portion is fastened to the box with screws.
The second cabinet is inserted between the first cabinet and the cover board by bypassing the hanging part from below. To achieve this insertion, the vertical length of the second cabinet needs to be shorter than the vertical length of the box body. Therefore, a gap is formed between the second cabinet and the cover board.

A part of the second top plate of the second cabinet is open, and an intermediate plate is interposed between the second top plate and the cover board through the open part of the second top plate.
After the intermediate plate is inserted, the cover board is fastened to the second cabinet with a screw so that the screw penetrates the intermediate plate. Therefore, the cover board can be firmly fastened to the second top plate of the second cabinet with the screw via the intermediate plate.

When removing the cover board, the screws fastening the cover board to the second cabinet are removed, the intermediate plate is removed, the second cabinet is removed from between the first cabinet and the cover board, and the screws fastening the cover board to the box are removed in that order. In other words, the cover board can be easily removed in the reverse order of the installation procedure.

The construction method of the cabinet device according to the present disclosure is a method of installing the first cabinet on the floor surface, the first cabinet having a first side panel and a first support facing each other and spaced apart in the length direction, a first top panel stretched between the first side panel and the first support, and a first support plate having two sides attached to the edges of the first side panel and the first top panel and spaced apart from the first support, and having a spacer fixed to the outer surface of the first support plate, is installed on the floor surface, and when the box is installed on the first cabinet, the top panel is stretched between the back panel and the first support plate. The box body, with a spacer fixed to the outer surface of the support plate, is installed in the first cabinet so that the support plate is positioned above the first support plate, and the outer surfaces of the first support plate and the support plate are covered with a decorative panel at the latest before the second cabinet is inserted between the first cabinet and the cover board, and the decorative panel is screwed to the first support plate and the support plate from the inside of the first cabinet and the box body, respectively, so that the screws penetrate the spacers.

In the present disclosure, a first cabinet having a spacer fixed to an outer surface of a first support plate is installed on a floor surface, and a box having a spacer fixed to an outer surface of the support plate is installed on the first cabinet. The first support plate of the first cabinet and the support plate of the box are aligned vertically.
The outer surfaces of the first support plate of the first cabinet and the support plate of the box are covered with a decorative panel across the first cabinet and the box.

The decorative panel is secured to the first support plate of the first cabinet and the support plate of the box with screws from the inside of the first cabinet and the box, respectively, so that the screws pass through the respective spacers.
Since the screws are fastened so as to penetrate the spacer, the decorative plate can be firmly fixed to both the first support plate and the support plate via the spacer.
Since the decorative panel is screwed at the latest before the second cabinet is inserted between the first cabinet and the cover board, the decorative panel can be screwed from the inside of the box body.

The first support plate and the spacers are not fixed to the support plates after the first cabinet is installed on the floor. In particular, if the spacers are fixed at the factory, there is no need to fix the spacers at the construction site.
Because the cosmetic panel does not cover the second cabinet, there is no need to remove the cosmetic panel when removing the cover board.

The method of installing the cabinet device according to the present disclosure is characterized in that, at the latest before covering the box body with the cover board, a third cabinet having a third top plate is installed on the floor surface so that the third cabinet is adjacent to the one side of the first cabinet in the longitudinal direction, the other side of the cover board covers the box body from above, and the one side of the cover board covers the third cabinet from above, and after inserting the second cabinet between the first cabinet and the cover board, the cover board is screwed to the third top plate from inside the third cabinet.

In the present disclosure, the third cabinet is installed on the floor at the latest before the cover board is screwed to the box body.
Next, the cover board is screwed to the box body, the second cabinet is inserted between the first cabinet and the cover board, and the cover board is screwed to each of the second cabinet and the third cabinet, in that order.

When removing the cover board, the screws fastening the cover board to the second and third cabinets are removed, the second cabinet is removed, and the screws fastening the cover board to the box are removed in that order. In other words, the cover board can be easily removed in the reverse order of the installation procedure.

The cabinet device installation method according to the present disclosure is characterized in that, when installing the first cabinet on the floor surface, the first cabinet is installed on the floor surface so that the first cabinet is adjacent to two wall surfaces that form an inside corner and the length direction of the first cabinet is along one of the two wall surfaces, and when installing the box body on the first cabinet, the box body is installed on the side closer to the other of the two wall surfaces, and the fourth cabinet is installed on the floor surface so that it is adjacent to the other of the two wall surfaces and adjacent to the part of the first cabinet that is located below the box body and the box body.

In the present disclosure, the first cabinet is installed on the floor surface along one of the two wall surfaces that form the inside corner.
The box body is installed on one of both longitudinal sides of the first cabinet, closer to the other of the two wall surfaces that form the inside corner.
The fourth cabinet is installed on the floor along the other of the two walls that form the inside corner and adjacent to the box-shaped first cabinet.
Because the fourth cabinet is not adjacent to the second cabinet, it is not necessary to remove the fourth cabinet when removing the cover board.

The cabinet device and cabinet device installation method disclosed herein allow the cover board to be easily removed.

The following describes an embodiment of the present disclosure. In the following description, the up/down, front/back, and left/right directions are indicated by arrows in the figures.

FIG. 1 is a plan view of a cabinet device according to an embodiment.
In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a cabinet device, and the cabinet device 1 includes a kitchen unit 2 which is L-shaped in plan view and a kitchen cabinet 3 which is I-shaped in plan view.
The kitchen unit 2 and the kitchen cabinet 3 are each installed on a floor surface 41. The kitchen unit 2 and the kitchen cabinet 3 are arranged so as to form a U-shape in a plan view.
Two walls 421, 422 rise up from the floor 41 (see FIGS. 3 to 5 described later). The wall 421 extends left and right, and the wall 422 extends front and rear. The walls 421, 422 intersect at the rear right side to form an inside corner.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the cabinet device 1, and for ease of viewing, the kitchen unit 2 and the kitchen cabinet 3 are shown separated from each other in the front-to-rear direction.
1 and 2, the kitchen unit 2 includes a stove cabinet 21 and a sink cabinet 22. The stove cabinet 21 is long in the front-rear direction and is adjacent to a wall surface 422. The sink cabinet 22 is long in the left-right direction and is joined to the front end of the stove cabinet 21.

A three-burner stove 211 is provided in the rear half of the top surface of the stove cabinet 21. A sink 221 is provided in the left half of the top surface of the sink cabinet 22. The front half of the top surface of the stove cabinet 21 and the right half of the top surface of the sink cabinet 22 are used as work spaces, for example, when cooking.

The kitchen cabinet 3 is long in the left-right direction, with its rear end adjacent to wall surface 421 and its right end adjacent to wall surface 422.

The kitchen cabinet 3 includes a lower cabinet 31, a box body 32, an upper cabinet 33, and a side cabinet 34.

The lower cabinet 31 is long in one direction and is installed on the floor surface 41 near the inside corner with the length direction facing left and right. The lower cabinet 31 is adjacent to the front side of the wall surface 421 and adjacent to the left side of the wall surface 422 (see FIGS. 6 and 7 described later).
The box body 32 and the upper cabinet 33 are arranged side by side on the lower cabinet 31. The box body 32 occupies the right half of the lower cabinet 31, and the upper cabinet 33 occupies the left half of the lower cabinet 31 (see FIG. 1). The box body 32 and the upper cabinet 33 are adjacent to the front side of the wall surface 421. The box body 32 is adjacent to the left side of the wall surface 422 (see FIG. 12 described later).

The side cabinet 34 is installed on the floor surface 41. The side cabinet 34 is adjacent to the left side of each of the lower cabinet 31 and the upper cabinet 33.
The stove cabinet 21 of the kitchen unit 2 is located on the front side of the box body 32 (see FIG. 1).
The lower cabinet 31, the upper cabinet 33, the side cabinet 34, and the stove cabinet 21 function as the first cabinet, the second cabinet, the third cabinet, and the fourth cabinet in this embodiment.

The lower cabinet 31 includes two side panels 311 and 312 , a top panel 313 , a back panel 314 , a front panel 315 , and a bottom panel 316 .

The side plates 311 and 312 are rectangular plates and face each other apart in the left-right direction, with the side plate 312 on the left side.
The top plate 313 is a rectangular plate that is long in one direction, and is bridged between the upper edges of the side plates 311 and 312 with its length oriented left and right.
The top plate 313 is a rectangular plate that is long in one direction, and is bridged between the rear edges of the side plates 311 and 312 with its length oriented left and right.

The front panel 315 is a rectangular panel, and faces the back panel 314. The upper edge of the front panel 315 is attached to the front edge of the top panel 313, and the right edge of the front panel 315 is attached to the front edge of the side panel 311. The front panel 315 closes the right half of the front surface of the lower cabinet 31, and is separated from the side panel 312.

The bottom plate 316 is a rectangular plate and faces the top plate 313. Three sides of the bottom plate 316 are attached to the lower sides of the side plate 311, the back plate 314, and the front plate 315. The bottom plate 316 closes the right half of the lower surface of the lower cabinet 31 and is separated from the side plate 312.
The side plates 311 and 312 function as two first side plates (or a first side plate and a first support) in this embodiment. The top plate 313, the back plate 314, and the front plate 315 function as a first top plate, a first back plate, and a first support plate in this embodiment.

Two drawers 51, one above the other, are attached between the back panel 314 and the front panel 315 (see FIG. 4). Each drawer 51 is guided by a rail (not shown) fixed to the back panel 314 and the front panel 315, respectively, and is pulled out to the left.
Two spacers 52 and a cover member 53 are fixed to the front surface of the front plate 315. The two spacers 52 are arranged in the vicinity of the left and right sides in the vertical center. The cover member 53 is rod-shaped and extends over the entire length of the left side of the front plate 315. The cover member 53 is elastic and is made of, for example, synthetic rubber.

FIG. 8 is a perspective view of the box 32. As shown in FIG.
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 8 , the box 32 includes a front plate 321 (support plate), a back plate 322 , a top plate 323 , a bottom plate 324 , and side plates 325 .
The front plate 321 and the back plate 322 are rectangular plates. The front plate 321 and the back plate 322 face each other and are spaced apart from each other in the front-rear direction.

The top plate 323 and the bottom plate 324 are rectangular plates. The top plate 323 is bridged between the upper sides of the front plate 321 and the back plate 322. The bottom plate 324 is bridged between the lower sides of the front plate 321 and the back plate 322.
The four sides of the side plate 325 are attached to the right sides of the front plate 321 , the back plate 322 , the top plate 323 , and the bottom plate 324 .
The left side of the box 32 is completely open.

Four spacers 52 and a cover member 53 are fixed to the front surface of the front panel 321. The four spacers 52 are disposed near the four corners. The cover member 53 extends over the entire length of the left side of the front panel 321.
The screen member 53 of the lower cabinet 31 and the screen member 53 of the box body 32 are aligned vertically (see FIG. 12 described later).

3 and 4, a decorative panel 35 covers the right half of the lower cabinet 31 and the box 32 from the front side. The decorative panel 35 has a rectangular shape that is long in one direction, and covers the entire front surface of each of the front plate 315 of the lower cabinet 31 and the front plate 321 of the box 32 with the length direction facing up and down.
The spacer 52 fixed to the front plates 315 and 321 is interposed between the front plates 315 and 321 and the decorative panel 35 .
The decorative panel 35 is secured to the front panels 315 and 321 with screws 11 (see FIG. 13 described later) penetrating through the spacers 52 from the inside of the lower cabinet 31 and the box body 32 .

The concealing member 53 fixed to the front panel 315 of the lower cabinet 31 and the concealing member 53 fixed to the front panel 321 of the box body 32 are interposed between the left edge of the decorative panel 35 and the left edges of the front panels 315, 321 (see FIG. 3). The two upper and lower concealing members 53 span the entire length of the decorative panel 35. The concealing member 53 is in elastic contact with the front panels 315, 321 and the decorative panel 35, respectively, and conceals the gap between the front panels 315, 321 and the decorative panel 35 from the left side. This improves the aesthetic appearance of the kitchen cabinet 3.

The decorative panel 35 is adjacent to the rear side of the stove cabinet 21 of the kitchen unit 2. In other words, the stove cabinet 21 is adjacent to the right half of the lower cabinet 31 and the box body 32, with the decorative panel 35 between them (see Figures 2 and 3).

The upper cabinet 33 includes two side panels 331 , a back panel 332 , a top panel 333 , and a bottom panel 334 .
Each of the two side plates 331 is a rectangular plate. The two side plates 331 face each other and are spaced apart in the left-right direction.
The back plate 332 is disposed between the rear edges of the two side plates 331, with the upper portion remaining.

The top plate 333 is composed of two strips, each of which is suspended between the upper edges of the two side plates 331. The two strips that make up the top plate 333 are located in the frontmost area and the third area from the front of the top surface of the upper cabinet 33, which is divided into four areas in the front-to-back direction. As a result, part of the top plate 333 (specifically, the second area from the front and the rearmost area of the aforementioned four divided areas) is open.

The bottom plate 334 is disposed between the lower sides of the two side plates 331 .
The two side plates 331, the back plate 332, the top plate 333, and the bottom plate 334 function as two second side plates, a second back plate, a second top plate, and a second bottom plate in this embodiment.

The upper cabinet 33 conceals the left side surface (the open side) of the box body 32 .
A slide tray 54 is attached between the two side plates 331. The slide tray 54 is disposed near the bottom plate 334. The slide tray 54 is guided by rails (not shown) fixed to each of the two side plates 331 and pulled out toward the front. For example, electrical equipment is placed on the slide tray 54. By inserting and removing the slide tray 54, the electrical equipment placed on the slide tray 54 is inserted and removed.

3 and 5, the steam exhaust unit 55 is attached between the two side plates 331. The steam exhaust unit 55 is disposed in the vicinity of the top plate 333. The steam exhaust unit 55 is detachable.
An inlet (not shown) for drawing in steam is provided on the lower surface of the steam exhaust unit 55. An exhaust port 551 for discharging the steam drawn in from the inlet is provided on the front surface of the steam exhaust unit 55.

9 and 10, a power tap 561 is provided in the upper cabinet 33. The power tap 561 is used to supply power to the electrical equipment placed on the slide tray 54.
The power tap 561 is supported by a support bar 562. The support bar 562 is a strip-shaped plate that is bridged between the two side plates 331 so as to protrude forward from the upper edge of the back plate 332. A through hole is provided in the support bar 562. The power tap 561 is fitted into the through hole of the support bar 562 with the plug insertion port facing downward. A power cord (not shown) extending from the power tap 561 passes between the top plate 333 and the back plate 332 of the upper cabinet 33 and is connected to a commercial power source.

A rib 563 is provided along the entire length of the front edge of the support bar 562. The rib 563 rises from the upper surface of the support bar 562. The rib 563 reinforces the support bar 562 and conceals the power cord extending from the power tap 561.

The height of the upper cabinet 33 (the length from the lower surface of the bottom plate 334 to the upper surface of the top plate 333) is smaller than the height of the box 32 (the length from the lower surface of the bottom plate 324 to the upper surface of the top plate 323; see FIG. 8).
Two intermediate plates 38 are placed on the top surface of the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33. The intermediate plates 38 are strip-shaped plates. The thickness of the intermediate plates 38 is equal to the difference in height between the upper cabinet 33 and the box body 32.

FIG. 11 is a perspective view of the side cabinet 34.
The side cabinet 34 comprises two side panels 341 facing each other and spaced apart in the left-right direction, a top panel 342 (third top panel) spanning between the two side panels 341, a back panel 343, and a bottom panel 344 (see Figure 14 described later).

Four upper and lower drawers 57 are attached between the two side plates 341. Each drawer 57 is guided by a rail (not shown) fixed to each of the two side plates 341 and pulled out toward the front.
The height from the floor surface 41 to the upper surface of the top plate 342 of the side cabinet 34 is equal to the height from the floor surface 41 to the upper surface of the top plate 323 of the box body 32 on the lower cabinet 31 (see Figure 14 described later).

1 and 2, the box body 32, the upper cabinet 33, the side cabinet 34, and the side cabinet 34 are covered from above by a cover board 36. The cover board 36 has a rectangular shape that is long in one direction, and is used with the length direction facing left and right.
4, 5, and 10, the cover board 36 protrudes forward beyond the entire surfaces of the box body 32, the upper cabinet 33, and the side cabinet 34, and a front flap 361 (hanging portion) hangs down from the underside of the protruding portion of the cover board 36. The front flap 361 is provided over the entire length of the front edge of the cover board 36 (see FIG. 3).

When the cover board 36 is placed between the top plate 323 of the box body 32 and the top plate 342 of the side cabinet 34, a gap is formed between the upper cabinet 33 and the cover board 36. This gap is hidden from the front by the front flap 361.
In addition, the front flap 361 covers the gap between the front plate 321 of the box body 32 and the decorative panel 35 from above.
As a result of the above, the aesthetic appearance of the kitchen cabinet 3 can be improved.
Furthermore, the front flap 361 can improve the design of the kitchen cabinet 3.

The cover board 36 is fixed to the top plates 323, 333, 342 from the inside of the box 32, the upper cabinet 33, and the side cabinet 34 using screws 11 (see Figures 15, 17, and 18 described below).
An intermediate plate 38 is interposed between the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 and the cover board 36. The screws 11 (see FIG. 17 described later) that fix the cover board 36 to the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 penetrate the intermediate plate 38.

2 and 3, the left end surface of the cover board 36 and the left side surface of the side cabinet 34 are entirely covered by an end panel 37. The end panel 37 is fixed to the left side plate 341 from the inside of the side cabinet 34 using a screw 11 (see FIG. 18 described later).
The upper end of the end panel 37 protrudes above the top plate 342 of the side cabinet 34 (see FIG. 18 described later). Therefore, an article placed on the top plate 342 is prevented from falling to the left of the side cabinet 34.

Here, a procedure for installing the cabinet device 1 will be described.
The worker installs the kitchen cabinet 3 and the kitchen unit 2 in this order. The installation procedure for the kitchen cabinet 3 will be mainly described below.

12 to 18 are explanatory diagrams of a method for installing the kitchen cabinet 3.
First, the worker installs the lower cabinet 31 .
A spacer 52 and a cover member 53 are fixed in advance to the outer surface of the front panel 315 of the lower cabinet 31 (for example, stapled in place at the time of shipment from the factory; see FIG. 12).
The worker places the lower cabinet 31 on the floor surface 41 near the inside corner with the length direction facing left and right (see FIGS. 6 and 7 ). At this time, the worker places the side panel 311 adjacent to the wall surface 422 and the back panel 314 adjacent to the wall surface 421.

Thereafter, the worker screws the side plate 311 to the wall surface 422 from inside the lower cabinet 31. Note that the timing for screwing the side plate 311 to the wall surface 422 is not limited to immediately after the lower cabinet 31 is placed.
After fastening the side panel 311 to the wall surface 422 with the screws, the worker can attach the drawer 51 to the lower cabinet 31 at any time.

Next, the worker installs the box 32 (see FIG. 12).
As in the case of the lower cabinet 31 , a spacer 52 and a cover member 53 are fixed in advance to the outer surface of the front plate 321 of the box body 32 .
The worker places the box 32 on the top plate 313 of the lower cabinet 31 so that the side plate 325 is adjacent to the wall surface 422 and the back plate 322 is adjacent to the wall surface 421 (see FIG. 4 ). At this time, the front plate 321 of the box 32 is located above the front plate 315 of the lower cabinet 31, and the concealing member 53 of the lower cabinet 31 and the concealing member 53 of the box 32 are vertically aligned.

After placing the box body 32, the worker uses screws 11 to screw the bottom plate 324 of the box body 32 to the top plate 313 of the lower cabinet 31 from inside the box body 32, and also uses screws 11 to screw the side plate 325 of the box body 32 to the wall surface 422.

As shown in FIG. 13, the worker covers the front surface of the front plate 315 of the lower cabinet 31 and the front plate 321 of the box body 32 with the decorative panel 35. Next, the worker screws the decorative panel 35 to the front plate 315 and the front plate 321 from the inside of the lower cabinet 31 and the box body 32, respectively, so that the screws 11 penetrate each spacer 52.

As a result, the decorative panel 35 conceals the front plate 315 and the box body 32 of the lower cabinet 31 from the front side. Also, the concealing member 53 is in elastic contact with the front plates 315, 321 and the decorative panel 35, concealing the gap between the front plates 315, 321 and the decorative panel 35 from the left side.
In the present embodiment, the two concealing members 53 are fixed to the lower cabinet 31 and the box body 32 before the decorative panel 35 is fixed, but this is not limited to this. For example, after the decorative panel 35 is fixed, one concealing member 53 spanning the entire length of the decorative panel 35 may be fitted into the gap between the lower cabinet 31 and the box body 32 and the decorative panel 35.

Next, the worker installs the side cabinet 34 on the floor surface 41 so that the back panel 343 faces the wall surface 421 and the right side panel 341 is adjacent to the side panel 312 of the lower cabinet 31 (see FIG. 14).
The side cabinet 34 may be placed on the floor surface 41 before the box body 32 is installed, or after the box body 32 is installed and before the decorative panel 35 is attached.

Next, the worker places the cover board 36 on the top plate 323 of the box body 32 and the top plate 342 of the side cabinet 34 (see FIG. 15 ). The cover board 36 is placed between the box body 32 and the side cabinet 34 to cover them from above.
After placing the cover board 36 , the worker uses the screws 11 to fasten the cover board 36 to the top plate 323 of the box body 32 from inside the box body 32 .

A support rail 562 to which a power tap 561 is attached, and a rib 563 are fixed in advance to the upper cabinet 33 (see FIGS. 9 and 10).
After fixing the cover board 36 to the box body 32, the worker inserts the upper cabinet 33 between the lower cabinet 31 and the cover board 36, and places it on the top plate 313 of the lower cabinet 31 (see FIG. 16 ). At this time, the upper cabinet 33 hides the open left side surface of the box body 32. In addition, the left side plate 331 of the upper cabinet 33 is adjacent to the right side plate 341 of the side cabinet 34, and the back plate 332 is adjacent to the wall surface 421.

The height from the top surface of the top plate 313 of the lower cabinet 31 to the bottom end of the front flap 361 of the cover board 36 is smaller than the height of the upper cabinet 33. On the other hand, the height of the upper cabinet 33 is lower than the height of the box body 32. Therefore, the worker can insert the upper cabinet 33 between the lower cabinet 31 and the cover board 36 so that the upper cabinet 33 goes around the front flap 361 of the cover board 36 from below.

After placing the upper cabinet 33, the worker screws the bottom plate 334 of the upper cabinet 33 to the top plate 313 of the lower cabinet 31 from inside the lower cabinet 31 using screws 11.

Next, the worker screws the cover board 36 to the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 from inside the upper cabinet 33 (see FIG. 17).
Before fastening the cover board 36 with screws, the worker interposes the intervening plate 38 between the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 and the cover board 36. At this time, the worker inserts the intervening plate 38 between the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 and the cover board 36 through an open portion of the top plate 333 (for example, a gap between two strip-shaped plates constituting the top plate 333) (see the outlined arrow in FIG. 10).

When fastening the cover board 36 with screws, the worker fastens the cover board 36 to the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 with the screws so that the screws 11 penetrate the intervening plate 38. Therefore, the cover board 36 can be firmly fixed to the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 via the intervening plate 38.

After fixing the cover board 36 to the upper cabinet 33, the worker attaches the slide tray 54 to the upper cabinet 33 at any time. The worker also attaches the steam exhaust unit 55 to the upper cabinet 33 at any time (see Figure 18).

After fixing the cover board 36 to the upper cabinet 33, the worker uses the screws 11 to fasten the right side plate 341 of the side cabinet 34 to the side plate 312 of the lower cabinet 31 and the left side plate 331 of the upper cabinet 33 from inside the side cabinet 34. Next, the worker uses the screws 11 to fasten the cover board 36 to the top plate 342 of the side cabinet 34 from inside the side cabinet 34.
The timing for fastening the right side panel 341 of the side cabinet 34 to the side panel 312 of the lower cabinet 31 with the screws may be immediately after the side cabinet 34 is placed on the floor surface 41 .

After the side cabinet 34, the lower cabinet 31, the upper cabinet 33, and the cover board 36 are fixed to one another, the end panels 37 are attached.
The worker completely covers the left end surface of the cover board 36 and the left side surface of the side cabinet 34 with the end panel 37, and then uses the screws 11 to fasten the end panel 37 to the left side panel 341 of the side cabinet 34 from inside the side cabinet 34.

After attaching the end panel 37 , the worker installs the drawer 57 in the side cabinet 34 .
As a result of the above, the installation of the kitchen cabinet 3 is completed.

The lower cabinet 31 and the upper cabinet 33 are each box-shaped, and therefore have high strength and can be stably placed on a horizontal surface. The box body 32 also has high strength and can be stably placed on a horizontal surface.
Therefore, even before the kitchen cabinet 3 is installed, the lower cabinet 31, the upper cabinet 33, and the box body 32 can be easily handled (packaged, transported, temporarily stored, etc.).
In addition, since it is easy to stably install the lower cabinet 31 on the floor surface 41 and to stably install the upper cabinet 33 and the box body 32 on the lower cabinet 31, construction of the kitchen cabinet 3 is easy.

If the spacer 52 and the concealing member 53 are fixed at the factory, there is no need to fix the spacer 52 and the concealing member 53 to the lower cabinet 31 and the box body 32 at the construction site.

After completing the installation of the kitchen cabinet 3, the worker installs the kitchen unit 2 on the floor surface 41 so that the stove cabinet 21 is adjacent to the wall surface 422 and the decorative panel 35 of the kitchen cabinet 3 (see Figures 1 and 3).

A user using the cabinet device 1 as described above places electrical appliances on the slide tray 54 and stores them in the upper cabinet 33. The user operates the electrical appliances, for example, when cooking facing the kitchen unit 2.

Electric appliances such as electric rice cookers and electric kettles emit steam during operation. If the steam emitted by the electric appliance adheres to the upper cabinet 33, it may cause the upper cabinet 33 to become dirty or deformed due to swelling. Pulling out the sliding tray 54 can prevent the steam from adhering to the upper cabinet 33, but the pulled-out sliding tray 54 gets in the way of cooking.
Therefore, the user uses the electric appliance while it is stored in the upper cabinet 33, and activates the steam exhaust unit 55. As a result, the steam emitted by the electric appliance is blown out to the front of the upper cabinet 33 by the steam exhaust unit 55. Therefore, the upper cabinet 33 can be protected from the steam emitted by the electric appliance.

A cart, a trash can, etc. (not shown) are stored from the front in the space surrounded by the side panels 312 and the top panel 313 of the lower cabinet 31, the drawer 51 recessed between the back panel 314 and the front panel 315 of the lower cabinet 31, and the floor surface 41. When pulling out the drawer 51, the user pulls out the cart, the trash can, etc. to the front of the kitchen cabinet 3.
The cover board 36 can be used as a shelf for storing items.

By interposing the spacer 52 between the front plate 315 of the lower cabinet 31 and the front plate 321 of the box body 32 and the decorative panel 35, the front surface of the decorative panel 35 can be positioned appropriately in the front-to-rear direction without using a thick decorative panel. In this embodiment, the front-to-rear position of the front surface of the decorative panel 35 coincides with the front-to-rear position of the front surface of the drawer 57 attached to the side cabinet 34. This improves the aesthetic appearance of the kitchen cabinet 3.

After the cabinet device 1 has been put into use, the cover board 36 may need to be replaced due to damage, soiling, or the like.
When removing the cover board 36, the worker removes the drawer 57 from the side cabinet 34. After that, the worker reaches inside the side cabinet 34 and removes the screws 11 that secure the cover board 36 to the top plate 342 of the side cabinet 34 and the screws 11 that secure the side plate 341 of the side cabinet 34 to the side plate 331 of the upper cabinet 33.

The worker also removes the steam exhaust unit 55 from the upper cabinet 33. After that, the worker reaches inside the upper cabinet 33 and removes the screws 11 that secure the cover board 36 to the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 and the screws 11 that secure the bottom plate 334 of the upper cabinet 33 to the top plate 313 of the lower cabinet 31. After removing the screws 11 that secure the cover board 36 to the top plate 333, the worker passes through the open portion of the top plate 333 and pulls out the top plate 313 from between the top plate 333 and the cover board 36.

Next, the worker removes the upper cabinet 33 from between the lower cabinet 31 and the cover board 36. At this time, the worker removes the upper cabinet 33 by going around the front flap 361 of the cover board 36 from below.
The removal of the upper cabinet 33 exposes the open surface of the box body 32 that was hidden by the upper cabinet 33. Then, the worker puts his/her hand inside the box body 32 from the open surface of the box body 32 and removes the screws 11 that secure the cover board 36 to the top plate 323 of the box body 32.

In this manner, all of the screws 11 that secure the cover board 36 can be removed. In other words, the cover board 36 can be easily removed by reversing the installation procedure of the cover board 36.

The worker may remove the screws 11 in the upper cabinet 33 before removing the screws 11 in the side cabinet 34. However, it is preferable to remove the upper cabinet 33 after removing the screws 11 in the side cabinet 34. This is because it is difficult for the worker to remove the upper cabinet 33 if the cover board 36 remains fixed to the side cabinet 34.

When removing the cover board 36, there is no need to remove the screws 11 that are not related to fastening the cover board 36. Therefore, the worker can easily complete the reinstallation of the kitchen cabinet 3 by simply attaching a new cover board 36 and returning the steam exhaust unit 55 and the drawer 57 to their original positions.

In the present embodiment, the kitchen unit 2 is L-shaped in plan view, but is not limited thereto. The kitchen unit 2 may be I-shaped in plan view, for example. In this case, the kitchen unit 2 and the kitchen cabinet 3 are arranged to form an L-shape along the wall surfaces 421 and 422 at the inside corner.
The lower cabinet 31 may include, instead of the side panel 312, a first support body capable of storing items (for example, see the floor unit described in Patent Document 1).

The kitchen cabinet 3 does not have to include the side cabinet 34. In this case, the end panel 37 completely covers the left end surface of the cover board 36 and the left side surfaces of the lower cabinet 31 and the upper cabinet 33. The end panel 37 is screwed to the side plate 312 from the inside of the lower cabinet 31, and is screwed to the left side plate 331 from the inside of the upper cabinet 33. When removing the cover board 36, the worker reaches inside the upper cabinet 33 and removes the screws 11 that secure the end panel 37 to the side plate 331.

In this embodiment, the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 is made of two strip-shaped plates that are spaced apart from each other in the front-to-rear direction, but is not limited to this configuration. An opening may be provided in the top plate 333, and an interposition plate 38 may be inserted between the top plate 333 of the upper cabinet 33 and the cover board 36 through this opening.
