Abstract
【解決手段】燃料電池10は、発電ユニット12を備えるとともに、前記発電ユニット12は、第1金属セパレータ14、第1電解質膜・電極構造体16a、第2金属セパレータ18、第2電解質膜・電極構造体16b及び第3金属セパレータ20を設ける。第2金属セパレータ18の深溝バッファ部である第2燃料ガス入口バッファ部領域36bと、第1樹脂枠部材70の燃料ガス凹部である入口深エンボス部領域84aとは、積層方向に重なり合って該積層方向に比較的大きな入口バッファ部空間を形成する。

Claims (4)
- 電解質膜の両側に一対の電極を設けるとともに、外周部に樹脂枠部材が設けられる電解質膜・電極構造体と、セパレータとが積層されるとともに、
一方の電極に対向する前記セパレータには、電極面に沿って燃料ガスを供給する燃料ガス流路と、前記燃料ガスを前記電解質膜・電極構造体と前記セパレータとの積層方向に流通させる燃料ガス連通孔と、前記燃料ガス流路と前記燃料ガス連通孔とを繋ぐ燃料ガスバッファ部とが設けられ、
他方の電極に対向する前記セパレータには、電極面に沿って酸化剤ガスを供給する酸化剤ガス流路と、前記酸化剤ガスを前記積層方向に流通させる酸化剤ガス連通孔と、前記酸化剤ガス流路と前記酸化剤ガス連通孔とを繋ぐ酸化剤ガスバッファ部とが設けられる燃料電池であって、
前記燃料ガスバッファ部は、第1燃料ガスバッファ部領域と、
前記第1燃料ガスバッファ部領域よりも前記積層方向に深溝な第2燃料ガスバッファ部領域と、
を有する一方、
前記酸化剤ガスバッファ部は、第1酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域と、
前記第1酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域よりも前記積層方向に前記第2燃料ガスバッファ部領域とは反対方向に深溝な第2酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域と、
を有し、且つ、前記第2燃料ガスバッファ部領域と前記第2酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域とは、前記積層方向から見て互いに平面位置をずらして配置されるとともに、
前記樹脂枠部材には、前記第2燃料ガスバッファ部領域に前記積層方向に重なり合う燃料ガス凹部と、
前記第2酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域に前記積層方向に重なり合う酸化剤ガス凹部と、
が形成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記燃料ガスバッファ部及び前記酸化剤ガスバッファ部は、正面視で三角形状を有し、前記第2燃料ガスバッファ部領域と前記第2酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域とは、三角形の互いに隣接する2辺に形成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、前記樹脂枠部材に設けられた前記燃料ガス凹部には、燃料ガス用エンボス部が設けられるとともに、前記燃料ガス用エンボス部の頂部は、前記第2燃料ガスバッファ部領域に当接する一方、
前記樹脂枠部材に設けられた前記酸化剤ガス凹部には、酸化剤ガス用エンボス部が設けられるとともに、前記酸化剤ガス用エンボス部の頂部は、前記第2酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域に当接することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池において、前記樹脂枠部材に設けられた前記燃料ガス凹部の平面領域と、前記第2燃料ガスバッファ部領域の平面領域とは、積層方向から見て一致する一方、
前記樹脂枠部材に設けられた前記酸化剤ガス凹部の平面領域と、前記第2酸化剤ガスバッファ部領域の平面領域とは、積層方向から見て一致することを特徴とする燃料電池。
