Abstract
に切欠溝や切欠部を設けることによって、操作ワイヤが
節輪の連結部に接触することを防止する内視鏡の湾曲部
構造を提供する。 【解決手段】内視鏡10の湾曲部22は、リング上の複
数の節輪40、40…を連結することによって構成され
る。隣接する節輪40、40は、連結部44と連結部4
6とを重ね合わせた後、カシメピン48によって回動自
在に連結される。カシメピン48の先端には、ガイド孔
48Aが形成され、このガイド孔48Aに操作ワイヤ4
2が挿通されてガイドされる。連結部46の先端部分に
は切欠溝50が形成され、連結部46の基端部分には切
欠孔52が形成され、操作ワイヤ42と連結部46との
接触が防止される。
Description

ング状の複数の節輪をカシメピン(ピン部材)で連結し
て構成されている。図11は、実公昭58−46801
号公報に示される湾曲部の節輪構造で、カシメピン1
は、その先端が節輪2の内周面から突出され、その突出
部分にガイド孔3が形成されている。ガイド孔3には、
湾曲部を湾曲操作する操作ワイヤ(湾曲操作用ワイヤ)
4が挿通されている。操作ワイヤは、手元操作部内のプ
ーリーに接続され、プーリーの軸に設けられた湾曲操作
用ノブを回動させることにより湾曲部を湾曲操作でき
る。
湾曲部構造は、湾曲部を大きく湾曲操作した際に、操作
ワイヤが節輪に接触する欠点があった。操作ワイヤが節
輪に接触すると、操作感が悪くなるとともに、操作ワイ
ヤが損傷されるおそれがある。
周面から離れた位置でガイドすることによって解消でき
るが、その場合には、カシメピンを節輪の内周面から大
きく突出させなければならない。近年、内視鏡の挿入部
の細径化が進むにつれて、湾曲部を構成する節輪の径も
小さくなっている。それと比較して、湾曲部内に挿通さ
れている内容物の大きさ(断面積)は、あまり小さくで
きないために、湾曲部における内容物の充填率が上昇す
る。そして、カシメピンとワイヤのガイドを兼ねている
ので、カシメピンを配置する場所も規制され、内容物を
避けて配置することができない。このために、カシメピ
ンを大きく突出させると、内容物にカシメピンが干渉
し、内容物の配置に無理が生じたり、内容物を損傷させ
る等の問題が発生するおそれがある。また、内容物を損
傷させないように保護部材を取り付けることもできる
が、その分、充填率がさらに上昇してしまうことにな
る。
もので、操作ワイヤと節輪との接触を防止できる内視鏡
の湾曲部構造を提供することを目的とする。
記目的を達成するために、内視鏡挿入部に形成された湾
曲部が、リング状に形成された複数の節輪を、該節輪の
端面に突出形成された連結部で連結して構成されるとと
もに、前記節輪の内部に挿通された湾曲操作用ワイヤ
が、前記連結部を連結するピン部材によってガイドされ
ることを特徴とする内視鏡の湾曲部構造において、前記
連結部には、前記湾曲操作用ワイヤとの接触を避ける切
欠部が形成されたことを特徴としている。

挿通方向における連結部の端部と前記ピン部材との間隔
が、前記湾曲操作用ワイヤと前記連結部との間隔よりも
短いことを特徴としている。
ワイヤの挿通方向における連結部の端部からピン部材ま
での間隔を、湾曲操作用ワイヤと連結部との間隔よりも
短くしたので、湾曲操作用ワイヤが連結部に接触するこ
とを防止できる。したがって、湾曲操作感が向上すると
ともに、湾曲操作用ワイヤの損傷を防止できる。
る内視鏡の湾曲部構造の好ましい実施の形態について詳
述する。
造が適用された内視鏡10は、手元操作部12と、この
手元操作部12に基端部が接続された挿入部14とを有
している。挿入部14は、軟性部20、湾曲部22、及
び先端硬質部24から構成されており、前記湾曲部22
は、手元操作部12に設けられた一対の湾曲操作用ノブ
26、26を回動させることにより遠隔的に湾曲操作さ
れ、前記先端硬質部24が所望の方向に向けられる。
入される鉗子孔34が設けられるとともに、シャッター
ボタン28、吸引ボタン30、送気・送水ボタン32が
並設されている。また、手元操作部12には、LG(ラ
イトガイド)軟性部16を介してLG(ライトガイド)
コネクタ18が連結されている。LGコネクタ18に
は、図示しない光源装置に接続されるライトガイド棒1
9が設けられ、さらにLGコネクタ18には可撓管36
を介して電気コネクタ38が接続されている。なお、図
1の符号39は、電気コネクタ38のキャップである。

部には、4本の操作ワイヤ(湾曲操作用ワイヤに相当)
42、42…が内周面に沿って所定の間隔で配設されて
いる。操作ワイヤ42の先端は、図1の先端硬質部24
に固着された先端スリーブ(不図示)に固定され、操作
ワイヤ42の後端は湾曲操作用ノブ26、26で回動さ
れるプーリ(図示せず)に接続されている。これによ
り、湾曲操作用ノブ26、26を操作して前記プーリを
回動すると、操作ワイヤ42が押し引き操作され、湾曲
部22が所望の方向に湾曲される。
面には、一対の連結部44、44が軸方向に沿って突出
して形成され、その反対側の端面には、一対の連結部4
6、46が軸方向に沿って突出して形成されている。一
対の連結部44、44、及び46、46は、180度間
隔で配設され、さらに、連結部44、44と連結部4
6、46は、90度ずれた位置に形成される。また、連
結部46、46は、節輪40の板厚分だけ、内側にプレ
ス加工されており、隣接する節輪40の連結部44、4
4と重ね合わせることができるようになっている。ま
た、連結部44、44、及び46、46にはそれぞれ、
図5のカシメピン48を挿入するための貫通孔44A、
44A、46A、46Aが形成されている。上記の如く
構成された連結部44と連結部46は、重ね合わせた
後、カシメピン48を節輪40の内側から貫通孔44
A、46Aに挿入してカシメピン48の外側をカシメ加
工することによって、回動自在に連結される。

ヤ42が挿通されてガイドされる。
2は、図2の上方向に大きく湾曲するように構成されて
いる。このため、上側の操作ワイヤ42aは、他の操作
ワイヤ42よりも可動範囲が広く、連結部46に接触し
やすくなっている。そこで、操作ワイヤ42aに対応す
る位置の連結部46は、図5及び図6に示すように、先
端部分に切欠溝(切欠部に相当)50が形成され、付根
部分に切欠孔(切欠部に相当)52が形成されている。
ここで、切欠溝50の底とカシメピン48との間隔X1
は、連結部46と操作ワイヤ42との間隔Y1よりも小
さくなるように構成される。また、切欠孔52の端とカ
シメピン48との間隔X2も、間隔Y1よりも小さくな
るように構成される。
用について説明する。
く湾曲させると、操作ワイヤ42aは、下側の連結部4
6に近づく。このとき、従来構造であれば、図7のA点
やB点で操作ワイヤ42が連結部46に接触し、操作感
が悪くなったり、操作ワイヤ42が損傷するおそれがあ
る。これに対し、本実施の形態の湾曲部構造は、連結部
46に切欠溝50や切欠孔52が形成されているので、
操作ワイヤ42がA点やB点で接触しない。したがっ
て、湾曲部22の操作感を向上させることができるとと
もに、操作ワイヤ42の損傷を防止できる。
40の内周面から突出するカシメピン48の先端突出量
を減少させて、湾曲部22における内容物の充填率を減
少させることができる。即ち、図5の間隔X1が小さく
なるように切欠溝50や切欠孔52を形成すれば、操作
ワイヤ42と連結部46との間隔Y1を小さくしても、
操作ワイヤ42と連結部46とは接触しない。したがっ
て、間隔Y1を小さくしてカシメピン48の先端突出量
を小さくすることができ、湾曲部22における内容物の
配置の自由度が上がる。湾曲部22には、図3に示す如
く、鉗子チューブ54、送気・送水チューブ56、信号
ケーブル58、ライトガイド60、60等の内容物が挿
通配置されている。このため、湾曲部22を細径化して
節輪40の径が小さくなり、内容物の充填率が大きくな
ると、湾曲部22を湾曲操作した際に内容物がカシメピ
ン48によって圧迫され損傷するおそれがある。これに
対して、本実施の形態の湾曲部構造は、内容物の配置の
自由度が上がるので、内容物が圧迫されず、内容物の耐
久性が向上する。また、内容物を保護するための保護部
材をカシメピン等に取り付ける必要がないので、その分
だけ湾曲部22の充填率を上げることなく、湾曲部22
を細径化できる。
42aに対応する連結部46のみに切欠溝50や切欠孔
52を形成したが、これに限定するものではなく、他の
操作ワイヤ42に対応する連結部46に切欠溝50や切
欠孔52を形成してもよい。

シメピン48の突出量を減少させることができ、内容物
が干渉し配置に無理が生じるのを防止できる。
上述した実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、操作ワ
イヤ42と接触する可能性のある部分が切り欠かれてい
ればよい。例えば、連結部46の先端部をテーパ加工し
てもよい。また、図8(a)に示すように、連結部62
の先端部を直線状に切り落としてもよい。さらに、図8
(b)に示す連結部64のように、貫通孔64Aに連通
する切欠部64Bを形成してもよい。

て、第1の実施の形態と同様に、湾曲部22を湾曲操作
しても、操作ワイヤ42が連結部68に接触しないの
で、操作性を向上するとともに、操作ワイヤ42の損傷
を防止できる。

Claims (4)
- 【請求項1】 内視鏡挿入部に形成された湾曲部が、リ
ング状に形成された複数の節輪を、該節輪の端面に突出
形成された連結部で連結して構成されるとともに、前記
節輪の内部に挿通された湾曲操作用ワイヤが、前記連結
部を連結するピン部材によってガイドされることを特徴
とする内視鏡の湾曲部構造において、 前記連結部には、前記湾曲操作用ワイヤとの接触を避け
る切欠部が形成されたことを特徴とする内視鏡の湾曲部
構造。 - 【請求項2】 前記切欠部は、前記連結部の先端に形成
された溝であり、該溝の底と前記ピン部材との間隔は、
前記湾曲操作用ワイヤと前記連結部との間隔よりも短い
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の内視鏡の湾曲部構造。 - 【請求項3】 前記切欠部は、前記連結部の基端部に形
成された孔であり、該孔の端部と前記ピン部材との間隔
は、前記湾曲操作用ワイヤと前記連結部との間隔よりも
短いことを特徴とする請求項1記載の内視鏡の湾曲部構
造。 - 【請求項4】 内視鏡挿入部に形成された湾曲部が、リ
ング状に形成された複数の節輪を、該節輪の端面に突出
形成された連結部で連結して構成されるとともに、前記
節輪の内部に挿通された湾曲操作用ワイヤが、前記連結
部を連結するピン部材によってガイドされることを特徴
とする内視鏡の湾曲部構造において、 前記湾曲操作用ワイヤの挿通方向における連結部の端部
と前記ピン部材との間隔が、前記湾曲操作用ワイヤと前
記連結部との間隔よりも短いことを特徴とする内視鏡の
湾曲部構造。
