638,088. Screw propellers. ROTOL, Ltd., and DANVERS, E. July 30, 1947, No. 20687. [Class 114] The hole 10 in the spinner through which the blade 9 of a V.P. screw passes is closed by a plate 14 of part spherical shape mounted to move on bearing 12 parallel to the spinner surface. The plate is rotated by plates 15 contacting the blade surface. In a modification the plate is rotated by links connected to a collar on the blade root.
