Abstract

603,334. Seats. LAMB, C. H. Nov. 27, 1945, No. 31952. [Class 52(ii)] In a collapsable deck chair of the type in which the frame includes a pair of interconnected channel-section uprights into which the remainder of the chair may be folded the channel uprights a are interconnected laterally by two-part links e, f each connected at its ends to the uprights a and intermediately pivoted together,each link having a bracket g firmly secured to one part and pivoted to the other, the members b, c are pivoted together at j the members being of channel section of such dimensions as to permit both members to fold into the channel section of the upright a. Each member c is pivoted at h to the upright a while the upper end of each member b is provided with pivoted link d having a hook adapted to enter a selected slot l in each upright a. The flexible seat and back m is secured at one end to a board housed in a channel p provided with hooks q adapted to engage pins r while the other end is secured to a socket t adapted to engage the tapered end u of each member c.
