318,038. White, A. E., (Zouri Drawn Metals Co.). Oct. 22, 1928. Window frames; glazing. - G l a s s, particularly the plate glass of shop fronts, is secured between two parts 1, 10, having base flanges 5, 9 engaging e a c h other and adapted to be drawn together by plates 16 shaped to engage an undercut recess 12 in one part and having a knee 15 and flange 21 resting on the base flange 5 of the second part. The plates 16 are moved by keyactuated screws 22 having rounded ends engaging the sloping faces 20. In a modification, the recess 12 and the end of the draw plate may be rounded or hook-shaped and engaged with each other by a rotary movement. The base flange 5 is formed with two ribs 6, 7 to rest on the frame &c. The length of the sloping face 20 of a draw plate is made sufficient to allow for clamping glass of any thickness.
